Located along the banks of the White River, Indianapolis is the state capital and the largest city in Indiana. Nicknamed the Crossroads of America for its well-connected transportation infrastructure, Indianapolis has several U.S. and interstate highways, a network of public transit routes and an international airport.

Fountain Square is home to a diverse mix of families, creatives and young professionals. Many of the neighborhood's old factories and warehouses have been converted into trendy lofts.

Pike Township

This neighborhood is one of the most diverse in Indianapolis, home to many professors and doctors who work at the nearby college campuses. If you want to experience the beautiful Indiana scenery, the area's Eagle Creek Park has several miles of walking trails.

Broad Ripple Village

Broad Ripple Village is a close-knit community, hosting a variety of regular events including neighborhood fish-fry dinners. It's also a music-loving neighborhood, and the local bars and lounges welcome large crowds on weekend nights.

Indianapolis Schools

The Indianapolis Public Schools serve most of the public schools in Indianapolis. This district covers elementary, middle and high schools in the area.

The city is also home to several large public and private universities, including Indiana University - Purdue University Indianapolis and Butler University.
