The blonde lady is very nice and professional however the rest of the staff is not. The other “has beens” needs to get off her power trip. Everyone who rents from here is super rude also. . I had a situation with a loading and they came out yelling and couldn’t give the decency of 5 minutes to correct the situation. I rented here for a year price is okay when you first start but they raise it as to be expected. I’ve been to my container 5 times and every single time I’ve came with the staff or other renters will give you an attitude likes it’s a sport. If I’m paying $100 a month to rent a container I expect to be treated with common courtesy and a little respect. I’ll be taking my business someplace else and anyone else thinking of renting should as well. unless you enjoy being yelled at by the staff that you technically pay. The floors are also very unlevel so if you’re unloading anything heavy. Be careful.

We met with Property Manager Raffaela (sp?) today to discuss a few matters. She was informative, courteous, and very helpful. The problem that I have is that my rent increased by $50 and happened without any forewarning. This caused me to downsize in one day which was disruptive in its own right. At that time I was informed that rent increases can and will happen and are based on the availability or lack thereof, of spaces to rent. This was not made clear at the outset and borders on lying because important information was not disclosed

Over charging me for 2 months meanwhile I owe them half of this month. Be careful they lie and will raise your rent. My storage is on $474. Somehow they charged me over $1,000 for 1 month. They destroyed my furniture they have no temperature control only fans blowing all over. These people are crooked stay away. Go to the one on Richmond Terreace they are way nicer and legit unlike here.

Horrible experience. You’re renting out a unit they supposedly provide a courtesy cart but they lock them up so you don’t have access to them. They expect you to go to the front desk and ask them to unlock it for you. Well 95% of the time they are not there to unlock them. If you come after their shift ends at 4 or 5pm you don’t even get to use the cart period. So this location should just make up their minds either you provide the carts 24/7 like they use to or just eliminate them and tell their customers their out of luck and find your own way to get your stuff up to your unit because we have to do it anyway. Horrible experience and can’t wait to get out of here and go to another establishment.

Rental information was inconsistent from staff, but I went ahead with rental. I paid for my 10x20 unit but was told payment was incomplete 2 days later and called me daily but offered no proof even when I provided confirmation of payment. I was also not allowed to retract my rental without losing my money. Local staff was little help, and regional management (Donna Murphy) also proved to be ineffective. I decided to absorb the cost and vacate my rental and, a day later, received confirmation from Public Storage that payment was received. Calls to Corporate yielded nothing. I will NEVER do business with this company because they don't care much about their customers! Anywhere else is better than this company!

What makes a storage place great, is a secure facility, an onsite mgr who really keeps their eyes open, a clean place and well maintained and MOST IMPORTANTLY the staff. This place has THREE amazing full time staff: Melissa, Raffiella and Alec. They are attentive, know me by name and make an effort to get to know all their customers. When I had a problem with a light switch and a door, they were RIGHT ON TOP OF IT and called in professionals to fix it so fast. Most importantly, they really CARE. Not sure if all Public storage locations are lucky enough to have staff like this location does, but if you are looking on Staten Island, you should definitely come look at this place. Do a walk-through and see how carefully it is maintained and meet the staff. I am glad I chose this place.

I hate this place with a burning passion management is terrible. It’s just so inconvenient to get in the door and get a cart that isn’t locked up. Carts are hard to find and the last two times I went the elevator didn’t work. You’re lucky if someone is at the front desk to help you. Management doesn’t return voicemails either. Not to mention they raised my rate 25% in less than 6 months of my unit rental.

Hi, so my name is Angelo and my father had rented out a unit in the Staten Island, veterans road- this facility had ask a price of $120 for a medium sized unit monthly. Which was agreed on the renting/purchasing date, and was paid from my father. We rented this unit out for approximately 3 months and the day of the 1st ( for the 4th month) we had moved out my things before closing time. But I did not take the lock as I thought it was their lock and they would just change the lock that day or one of the following days to come. As they gave us about a month to pay for late fees without touching the locker or my belonging’s in this locker from what I experienced on the 3rd month, but I did not put two and two together till after all of this. So why not let us take our things out on the 1st of the month before the day end’s? I came back a few days later as my father received an email regarding payments for the storage unit he said I had to go return the keys and when I did the employee (which I do not remember her name) had said even though I took my things out on the 1st of the month I still had to pay rent for the whole month. This I did not understand so I called my father to have her explain to him. My father denied paying that month as we were not going to be using it for another whole month, but just to take our belonging’s out the 1st of the month before the day ended. They said if we did not pay it would be sent to collections. So we denied and truth be told they did indeed send it to collections. For a fee’s of $140+ for non payment of a month plus initial “late fee’s“ we were not intending nor intended to use. Please be careful for these scamming people and be aware of these people with no decency for costumer service. I DO NOT RECOMMEND RENTING A UNIT A THIS FACILITY OR THIS COMPANY EVER. PLEASE DONT EASTE YOUR TIME NOR MONEY HERE!

I was looking for moving supplies i found a great bunch of different sizes boxes and moving supplies to buy i wanted to say thank you to melissa for helping me yesterday. I moved to a smaller apartment and needed a place to store my furniture, this location was convenient, clean, spacious. Pros: The facilities and grounds are always clear of debris. There is camera on premises, a gated door and cameras around the area. It also has central air, wide doors and hallways. Cons: The storage monthly pricing is expensive.

Came in with questions about renting a unit since I'm moving out of town in a few months. Melissa was very knowledgeable, kind and helpful. She showed me a few units and gave great advice. I would definitely recommend anyone inquiring about storing here to ask for Melissa.

THE STAFF IS WONDERFUL! THE RATING FOR THEM IS 5 STARS! The poor rating is due to how high the price will jump on you after your initial opening special. It was around $200 for the first two months and then jumped to $329! Not quite doubled but that was shocking and isn't worth the money any longer than absolutely necessary.

Only had the unit got a few months and went from 150 to 250 dollars in the matter of 4 months. They will raise your rent up every month. They had lights in the storage unit and decided to just cut the electric to them. The manager is insanely nasty and rude. Just go to cube smart, it’s much nicer and very clean

No property manager no call backs I was very dissatisfied you have to use an app that was a little confusing I think they could do a lot better
