A very rude property manager charged me a full month for accidentally going in to get my last item one day after my contract was up. When I explained that we got the date wrong and thought there were 31 days in the month, she was so rude and inflexible. I’m working with corporate right now to make sure she’s held accountable and to receive a refund. Stay away from this place. I really couldn’t believe the level of inhumanity this individual displayed. I felt a little sorry for her that she had to be that mean to people.

The door on my unit would not open. I spoke with the office and submitted a work order to have it fixed. Weeks went by and I never heard from them and the door never got fixed. I had a similar problem as many others here. I moved out of my unit on time and followed all the instructions, but they kept charging me anyway.
I contacted customer support multiple times and never got a clear answer. Every time it’s a different representative, and nobody actually fixes the issue.
Even after the unit was already empty, charges continued.
Very frustrating experience. I would not recommend this location, especially if you use storage for business.
I own a moving company.
For a long time, I was using this Public Storage location for my business operations. I wasn’t just renting one unit — I was using multiple units regularly for supplies, equipment, packing materials, and daily business needs.
I want to be very clear:
I always followed their rules.
I moved out early.
I cleared units before the payment date.
I checked out properly through their website.
I even made sure the system showed everything as completed.
And yet — every single time — they still tried to charge me.
Again and again.
Even after units were fully vacated weeks before the billing date, I kept receiving charges. Then emails. Then notices. And now I’m even getting calls from collections — for units that were already empty and returned properly.
The customer service has been terrible.
No real help. No accountability. No clear answers.
Every time it’s a different person, and nobody actually fixes the problem.
Because of this, I’m officially done with Public Storage.
I’m moving my business to other storage companies.
And I want to say this openly:
Every other moving company owner I know tells me the exact same story. Same issues. Same billing problems. Same customer service experience.
During peak season alone, my company rents around 20 to 30 units per month. That’s serious money. And Public Storage is losing customers like me not because of price — but because of poor systems and zero responsibility.
When a business client does everything correctly and still gets punished for it, that’s not a mistake anymore. That’s a system problem.
I no longer trust Public Storage with my business.

Absolutely ridiculous customer service! Over a week calling leaving messages and no one returns calls I've come to the office multiple times this week and no one is there. Notes stuck to the door for days from other customer. Communication is everything and this place dropped the ball badly.

Shining Light in a Dim Experience — Robin Deserves All the Praise
I rarely write reviews, but today I feel compelled to recognize someone who truly deserves it: Robin, the office staff at Public Storage. Let me be clear—this review is not about the property itself, which leaves much to be desired. Nor is it about the regional manager, Brenda, whose lack of competence made a bad situation worse.
Robin is the reason I stayed. In a company where customer service is often neglected and employees feel like they’re just punching a clock, Robin stands out. She genuinely cares—not just about the job, but about the people. Despite being the one on-site, bearing the brunt of daily frustrations from customers (many caused by failures beyond her control), she shows up with professionalism, kindness, and resilience.

Drove past and didn’t even realize there was a public storage sitting there and stopped in just to get some pricing because I hate the storage company. I’m with end up meeting a property manager named Robin. She was very helpful picking out a new storage unit the proper size and told me to go online to see if I can find any better price. They might be a little cheaper because I still had a few weeks before I was able to move my stuff from the storage unit company I’m with to this one. She was amazing in helping me. Too bad more storage units companies don’t have more property managers like her Thank you Ms. Robin

Worst customer service. My $25 commercial lock was accidentally cut off. Then, I was sent an email as if it were my fault. I had to drive 2 hours each way 2 weekends in a row just for them to apologize and give me a POS disc lock. As much money as I have spent with this company over the years, you'd think I'd be treated better.
Waited an hour for someone to be in the office to help me with my storage unit. The worse part is while waiting outside the staff member pulls into the parking area and saw me standing there and pulled out and left. And so I left for 15 minutes and came back and then she was back in the office. Worse customer service ever

So far I have had a great experience with this location. They were able to get me in to a unit an hour or two after I called, and at a reasonable rate.
AVOID this location!!!! If I could give zero stars, I would. The units are run down with poor lighting and interior panels falling down. The customer service is horrible.
We started at a very reasonable rate about 1 year ago; which was quickly increased by hundreds of dollars. They lure you in with a low rate and then issue increases every 6 months or less.
We had to hire a moving company to move all of our items to another reputable facility with proper lighting and great customer service.
To make matters worse. I needed to dispose of two bags of paper and a small bookcase. I located the trash bins and the gates were “wide open” upon my arrival. I placed the bags in the dumpster and left the small bookcase outside the dumpster as it was in “good condition”. Imagine my surprise when we received a very unpleasant phone call, accusing us of leaving the trash gate open and we were labeled as “dumping” and assessed a $75.00 dumping fee.
These folks are hungry for money and will do anything for it. STAY AWAY!!! Choose another facility. It’s not worth the headache when there are many other options.

Gatecodes of all my 5 units I’m ranting there are not working! Im paying 1200$ per month and don’t have access to my units. I will do charge back! The person at location didn’t fix it either. She gave me some technician phone number! Is it my job to fix their issues? Horrible attitude!

Don't rent from this location I have documents stating I started renting my unit on 04/07/23 at a price of $156.00 dollars. the price went up to $215 to $256 to $288 and I received a email recently saying that my new monthly rent fee will be $366 dollars on 01/01/25. I was never a poor tenant to the public storage unit And always respected there grounds. Today(12/6/24) a representative called me telling my "auto pay payment didn't go through" so I said okay and hung up just to call back four minutes later to make an inquiry on why they sent me a email saying "thank you for your successful payment on 12/2/24". Due to the fraudulent Email it threw off my finances and now I have to barrow a couple bucks from my girl friend but that's fine, I'm not poverty stricken by any means. but the representative didn't answer noir did I receive a call back. They never answer the phone. Also I looked up units the same size as mine online on there website and there renting them for $137. Which I ensure they'll more then likely find some elder person who can't move there belongs out of the storage unit when the monthly price Is equivalent to a 30 year mortgage on a $100,000 dollar property and the consumer will either end up losing there belongs or lose there savings on something as simple as a storage unit.
My storage unit was recently broken into, and I lost thousands of dollars in belongings, including irreplaceable personal items.
When I reported the break-in, the manager was dismissive and showed no concern. I later found out from the police that multiple units were burglarized on November 4th, but I never received any notification from the facility. This is unacceptable...
The security here is seriously lacking. The drywall covering the units can be easily pulled up, allowing access between them. Despite this obvious flaw, I wasn’t given access to any security footage or additional support from the staff.
I’d recommend staying away from this location. Public Storage needs to improve both their security and customer service. I lost a lot of important things that are irreplaceable, I hope I can save someone else from having their stuff stolen.
I had a recent issue with my unit and was helped by Jaydah, she was extremely helpful and fixed my situation within minutes without hesitation- I went in later that week to check and had Olivia help me to confirm all was good- These two woman made me feel at ease and I wanted to thank them- They went above and beyond, stayed late to assist me in time of need.

Rates start off great for new customers, but then increases! Ridiculous price increase! Won't ever use them again when I finally get all of my things out! With the rate I'm paying now, you would think they are a Climate controlled storage facility!

Unfortunately the prices automatically go up every six months. I started out with a monthly fee of well under $200 month for a 10x30 and three years later they are trying to bill me over $500 a month. I feel that this is an unfair practice. You have to basically rent another space in order to start over at the original lower rate, which involves moving everything out and into another space.
I don't normally post reviews, but I feel like I had to. My mom and I just rented a space, the move in date was yesterday (thankfully, we rented this space early, as we just naturally anticipate problems). Yesterday, we showed up and the first space's door was broken. We went to the office, and they set us up with another space. We left for a while, and came back to check out the second space. The light bulb didn't work, I went to the store and bought a lightbulb (I wanted a super bright one anyway), and still nothing. It has an electrical issue. We went back to the office, after 6 (closing), it was probably 6 30, but they unlocked the door and spoke with us anyway. They said come back tomorrow and file a work order. Okay. We did that. The next day, we came back, and we told her the situation. She said she had a third unit. We checked it out, and it was on a hill, and had a 1' ledge that I wouldn't be able to roll a heavy toolbox into it. She said that's all of our available spaces in my size at the location. There was another location down the road, and she gave us temporary permission to enter and gave us a list of empty spaces to check out, and we could pick the best one that fit our needs. I probably looked at 7 additional spaces and found one that I was very happy with. I was able to rent the one that I wanted, and couldn't be happier! I know that we are very picky customers. I'm sure most customers would not be as picky as we were. But I wanted to give a shout out to Danika in the office because I feel like she really went the extra mile for us and made sure we were happy customers. And even the girls in the office the day before (I didn't catch their names) were very help full. Thank you to the team in the office for helping us, the incredibly needy customers. I really hope you all get recognized for the amazing service that you have provided.

This place has made a stressful move even worse. The property manager is never on site, doesn’t answer the phone, return messages, and does not show up for meetings. On 7/9 could not access my unit originally assigned because it was locked. On 7/10 Customer service transferred me to another unit and assured that I would not be billed for the original unit - I am continuing to be charged for the original unit (2 total). This has been over a month of back and forth to verify that the unit is vacant - the district manager has done nothing to resolve this issue and the only people who I can speak to (agents) cannot do anything further except send messages to the property and district manager to close out this account. This is beyond ridiculous and a huge waste of my time - they are attempting to charge a late fee for a unit I’ve never been able to access or use. All of the calls and messages are able to be read by all public storage agents and managers and they still can’t seem to get this resolved? Get it together public storage and maybe try to be on site and manage the property - it would save customers a lot of time and frustration.

This place has been here for a while, and still the best location for drive up unit access. Sweet blue tooth turnstile gate (like a Rail Road crossing). And most of all, Kim the awesome property manager that handles your needs in seconds.....not hours, and applies all discounts and promotions to make it one of the less expensive options in the Quail/Pineville south Metro. thanks Kim. 5 stars
