It rained a lot so items got damp from humidity. Not very well protected from the elements.

I went to Public Storage today to pick up a bed. Unfortunately the base board would not fit into my car. Luckily I was able to go and speak with Angel in the office about how to transport the board. She gave me multiple different options and ideas. Her advice was incredibly helpful and I ended up successfully transporting the board with the help of her advice and great customer service!

I have to move a great distance in a short time and I can't take all my belongings with me. A medium sized storage space would have been ideal, but a facility (different company) much closer was only offering too small or too large spaces. Thankfully this Public Storage location had what I was looking for, and Richere was very helpful, answering questions I didn't even realize I wanted to ask and making sure I fully understood what I was signing up for. I haven't moved my things in yet (and obviously, I haven't come back some time later to retrieve them) so this is only a review of the sign-up process. If I don't update this review, most likely everything has gone well and I don't feel a need to say more.

Emmanuel is so helpful and attentive, making sure we got the right size for all of our stuff.

The manager is a rude, condescending, bully who has no clue how to deal with people. He'll tell you to move your truck only to tell you you're blocking the door with your belongings (because you can't get them in your truck he just told you to move because someone else is in the spot from where you just moved!) He also likes to call people names...This are a few instances of many and will be reported to the corporate office.

Now I have to move out due to the rude staff at 4072 N Broadway Chicago. 25 Years I have paid for this location. This month you have raised my rent from $455.00 to $615.00 and I have 2 units with you. Turns out the same size unit going for $615.00 to me is being offered for $330.00! Why have you been over charging me? The longer you stay, the higher they increase your rent. I highly recommend not using this over a long period of time. The bathroom has been permanently locked out all patrons. Evening Hours have been reduced from 8pm to 5pm. No more 24 hour access. Staff is now rude and demeaning to others. Where's Terry?! We miss him. He was the best! The new guy is just an ordinary bully. Basically this facility has gone down hill slowly over 25 years and the new Regional manager does not keep her word. So, for those reasons I AM OUT!

I had a good experience moving in. I did not realize that move in was over at 5 pm on Sunday. Immanuel (not sure of correct spelling), the gentleman in charge informed me when I pulled up because it was about 20 minutes till. My sons and I finished at 5:10 pm. This man was was so graceful and patient. I really appreciate it.

This place is almost run down. The don’t maintain it at all. Only one elevator works and it seems like they’ll never fix the other one. It’s been well over three months. For how expensive this place is, I suggest going somewhere else

I got a storage unit here for the community chorus I work for, and Terry could not have been more helpful! He double-checked and confirmed a promotional rate for me. Reserved a storage unit online 3 weeks in advance for the “special” online rate of $101/month. I arrive at location during business hours and all doors are locked and employees are at lunch. I wait for a hour then employees arrive. They get on the computer and say “oh we don’t have the storage unit you reserved at that rate, but we do have the same unit you want for $150/month” I respond “what do you mean? I reserved this 3 weeks ago at the rate of $101/month.. now you are telling me you have the unit I want but it’s $50 more?” Employees say “ya you can have a smaller unit tho” I ask to speak to the manager. They say he is not there. I go ahead and get the unit at the higher price because I need the unit as I am moving out of my apartment. They charge me a $25 administration fee and $25 for a lock for the unit. Yes.. $25 for a $5 lock you can buy at ace hardware. Scam. I pay for my unit on time 2 months in a row. I move everything out on June 1 at 9am, leave the unit spotless. The manager calls me at noon and says I owe a FULL MONTH RENT OF $150 because I moved out on June 1 instead of May 31. They want me to pay a full month for using the unit for 9 hours! ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS.. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! Use The Lockup Self Storage centers instead

I thought this please would be great to keep my things in. Unfortunately, I was never able to use it. I had a truxk loaded and made it to the place by 4:55, but they dlsaid I had to be out of the building by 5pm, which was impossible time to unload, should have planned better. However, I had to find another solution for my problem as I was not going to unload everything back into my apartment. When I canceled with them the very next day, i did not get any refund back, not even for the $20 old lock they sold me. I'm very disappointed and will not recommend the place.

Very happy with the service I received in renting a storage space. I worked with Terry, he followed up with me after I reserved a space on-line, made sure I was happy with the selected unit and was very friendly. I would recommend this location!

Terry at the front desk provided great customer service. The registration process was very easy to follow with his help. Also, the carts that are available in the site to move stuff in or out were super useful. They made the moving in of my stuff a breeze.

The staff are very friendly and helpful, especially Terry. The reason I gave it only 3 stars, however, is because of the hours. You can only access your stuff during business hours. All the others in the city allow access much later in the evening. This place reduced the hours and then recently also raised the prices. I decided I’m not paying more for less so I left. There are several other storage places in the area much cheaper, with better access hours, and are even temperature-controlled. Again, great staff, but poor hours for the price.

Terry & Kayla were great! Set-up was smooth, locker was delivered clean and as described and access from parking lot to elevator to locker is easy.

I went in today after reading the reviews posted by others and found Kayla and Terry to be GREAT! I felt like I was talking to old friends. Two of the nicest, customer service oriented people I've run across in a long time. We laughed and talked as I rented my unit. No question was too much for either of them. I recommend this facility.

The customer service team at this public storage whom I have cleverly nicknamed “double T’s”. T for their efficiency with TIME management (both mine and theirs) and TEAMWORK that they demonstrated when working with me in getting the best storage option and accommodating all of my requests. Oh yeah, did I mention their names are Terry & Theresa, which I guess is where the “double T’s” actually originated. In an age where customer service is no longer a part of any experience, these two were a breath of fresh air and definitely left me feeling like all my needs were addressed That in addition to the a sunny disposition I left with, like I had just spent time laughing with good friends. Honestly there’s not much I would suggest be changed about how this place is ran other than... “can we get a little heat up in here?” It’s Chicago and damn cold in the winter. However the experience and attention to detail by team “double T’s” made up for it. If your Looking for storage definitely check these guys out!

Terry is tremendously professional, efficient, and kind! He is the BEST site manager in the five years that I have had a space at this location.

The staff was helpful to I and my partner however while we were in the office an elderly man came by taxi to purchase supplies for packing up his home. The staff offered no assistance in thinking through what he needed. We helped the man think about how many boxes he would need and what size boxes. We also assessed what packing supplies he would need and at the end asked about his need for tape and tape dispenser. The whole time Corey (the staff) just sat behind the counter. When it finally came time for the elderly man to go my partner left the store to find a taxi for him to go home and helped load the supplies in the taxi. The staff was not helpful and demonstrated an attitude of not caring for this individual who really needed it at this time of moving. The man ended up spending a few hundred dollars in the store and 'we' actually sold the items to him rather than the store clerk.

I had a great visit, Terry was extremely helpful, answered any questions I had. I’m happy that I have a locker here.

I'm not normally one to write reviews but my experience at this particular Public Storage has been extremely positive. Most if not all of this positive experience was directly linked to the customer service provided by the staff here specifically Terry. Not only did he make sure that I had everything I needed once I signed up for the storage spaces I needed (the process itself was super painless), but every time I swung by, he made sure to wave and say hi and would see how I was doing. Those little things (a wave or a greeting) goes a long way for customer satisfaction. One thing that's extremely helpful too is the parking lot inside the gate which makes loading and unloading much easier than a place without one. I would highly recommend coming here if you're in the area and need the storage space!

I recently rented a large unit at this location. I am very impressed with Terry. He is a consummate professional and he provided detailed answers to my many questions. I should add that Terry is kind and patient, which means a lot during a stressful time.

Eliza was great. She was really friendly, she ran through all the steps at a speed for me to understand, made sure I understood everything, and gave me the best deal for my storage needs. I booked a day before moving and was nervous, but I couldn't have asked for a better time.

Lazaro did a bang up job getting me all set up, working quickly with multiple customers and was very friendly. Only gave 4 stars instead of 5 because it was super hot in the storage area, and the flatbed left something to be desired. Otherwise - awesome. Great staff.

I would definitely recommend this location Lazaro has excellent costumer service. I went in looking for some information on renting a unit he also showed me some merchandise that would make my move a lot easier on me.

I walked into this location on Broadway seeking information about a space, the young man behind the counter whose name was kyle which I would never forget was very polite and respectful and helped me with every question i had asked.
