My experience was great! The customer service was top notch. D.J was not only very knowledgeable but he was also very polite.
Staff is very nice, and the place is clean but they race $40. for my unit after less than 4months. Im very disappointed I didn't think the price would increase so much in such short time.

I came to this facility to inquire about a unit. The property is very clean and the workers are very friendly and knowledgeable.
Carolina was so helpful! You don’t expect moving to be pleasant, but with Caroline’s help this experience was made the best it could be! I even called my family afterwards to tell them what a nice surprise It was to be treated so kindly and warmly in a standardly unpleasant and even hostile at times industry. This was one of those interactions that you have to soak up here in New York considering the general lack of outward kindness & patience you see here in the city.
Carolina went out of her way to show me how to access my unit even walking me down there personally while maintaining a friendly kind and professional manner. Great experience.

Really disappointing experience. They just try to draw you in with their seemingly low prices but will then charge you something totally different on arrival. I reserved a unit online for a promotion price. Arrived a couple of days later to check in and was told they had no units available for that price and could not offer me that price on another unit. So the reservation online is totally meaningless. It creates false expectations and major inconvenience for customers who are moving out and then left in a difficult position at the last minute. Not to mention very confusing/inaccurate information over the phone. I would not recommend this business at all.
I recently had the pleasure of renting a storage unit from this place, and I have to commend the excellent service provided by Anderson. From start to finish, he was incredibly helpful, guiding me through the process with patience and professionalism. He took the time to explain all the available options and made sure I found the perfect unit to suit my needs.
The facility itself was impressive—spotlessly clean and well-organized. Each unit was in great condition, which gave me great confidence that my belongings would be safe and secure. Anderson made sure everything was in order before I left, and his friendly demeanor made the entire experience enjoyable.

I'm moving out of my dorm for the summer and landed a very last minute reservation in a mad scramble to make arrangements. It’s been stressful, but thank god for the wonderful people of public storage. It was absurdly easy to reserve and confirm my space and the space itself is stunning, exactly what I need. I went in to go over everything and was aided by the delightful Carolina, if any of her superiors are reading this I suggest she be promoted at once with a hearty raise. She was very personable and helpful, we had a good time chatting and going over everything, it was a huge relief! I feel confident my things are in good hands.

Today I went to public storage to rent a unit and Dj was so helpful and detail-oriented he is more than awesome I had storage unit before from other companies but the customer service at the mott street property is top notch if I could I would have give 10 stars I would definitely recommend public storage at 262 Mott street with no regrets.

He was super helpful with checking me in and showing me around the storage unit.
He also explained all the rules that follow using the unit and explained everything in full detail, all well as instructed me on how to use the door codes and when and where to access the elevators.
Overall the service here is amazing and I have much more access to resources compared to my previous place that offered no bathroom, limited access times via code usage ,etc.
10/10 service.
I am absolutely blown away by how helpful the team here is! They literally bend over backwards to help their customers with such poise, friendliness, and comfort one could ever imagine from a storage space. I have been to public storage on mitt street for 3 month and I met Djhierry and Christina was really helpful and patient with me they explain everything and was really detailed I would definitely recommend public storage on Mott street best of all
Wish I could leave negative stars. If you are planing to use Public Storage- stay away from this place. I have few different storages in NY - no issues, this place gave me nightmares. They had glitch in the system- so for the past 3 months I have been receiving calls, messages emails that my payment is pass due, they send me two refund checks for $15 that makes no sense, added extra unit to my account ( I own just one small unit) - that was $28 dollars of past due - kept on calling me daily to pay.
I went in person five times and talked to the management - they assure me not to worry, my account is fine and it was their error.
When I tried to access my unit - I count not - they blocked my access. Takes to the management and they let me in saying I have nothing to worry about- they will fix it. 3 months after - I still get calls from Public Storage asking to pay bill - and now I have debt collector calling me for $28 filed from Public Storage. I have never had past due bill in my life, I have perfect credit score I worked my whole life for and now thanks to this place - It’s ruined. I have to keep on calling and fixing this but if you have not get unit here - save yourself and go somewhere else.

I called to inquire about a unit , Djhierry was patient and kind, I like to ask questions and he answered them all , explained everything simply, informed me about the e rental process which I didn’t know public storage offered, as well as suggested merchandise to make my move easier. He said I could visit the location before I make a decision , which I did , he was just as helpful in person , gave me a tour and explained the process in detail . The location was clean and brightly lit no weird smells or dark corners. I would feel comfortable leaving my stuff there.

Came today at 12pm.. Storage was close with no employees. They added also a new code at the entrance without noticing the customers. Arrived with many packages, couldn't enter the facilities. Nobody would replied on the phone as well.
Manu explained everything and made me feel confident in storing my personal things here. Very helpful and efficient.

So I really had to think about this review. Because the staff and cleanliness of this facility makes this place an easy 5 star. But the biggest problem with this location is the hours. If they decide to change it back to pre covid hours when it was 8am to 8pm, this review would change back to a 5 star easy.

The facilities are pretty clean and well kept. Be careful if you rent multiple units that you do them at the same time. We rented one unit online and ended up needing extra storage so we got an additional one once we arrived to Public Storage but there were issues with adding the extra unit to our account. Ended up getting charged a late fee because we couldn’t see the other unit on our account.
Also shoutout to Kachelle who works the front desk! I had some questions with two storage units I had and she was able to answer all my questions and even stayed a bit past closing to help me! Somebody get her a promotion!

I rented a clean 4x5 locker for safe keeping of belongings while in NYC. The management of SoHo Public Storage felt like family. The building is very secure and easily accessible for personal/private use. The price is fair and reasonable - and quotes provided are accurate without ‘hidden’ fees.
(Note that the proper address is actually 262E Mott Street). The staff here are really great. I wish the elevator worked by yourself (you need a staff member to work it since it’s a cargo elevator), but the staff is great regardless and the reason for 5 stars. They deserve a raise!
What a great experience! I was greeted by Jeremy, who had been waiting "all day" for my arrival and immediately knew my name and locker number. He was both friendly and super helpful, showing me to my space and aiding me with my belongings. The storage area was clean and well-lit, and the "onboarding" process was quick and easy. Gary was truly so helpful and kind to me while I was at Public Storage! The space was nice and offered good carts. The parking was admittedly challenging. If you are alone and have a lot to unload take note, another location may be best. As for customer service, this place was number 1.

Gary & Chris we’re such pleasant staff’s members. They made my nightmare situation so much more pleasant by facilitating 2 units, 1 being just $1 for the month (with tax included of course).
