The worst storage company ever the are not trustworthy and do not honor the contract honestly I don’t think the people working for them understands the contracts and speaking to an agent is a waste of time and the property manager as well never again will I rent with them
Impossible to work with. Trying to speak with a human is unheard of and trying to cancel an agreement prior to the start date is ridiculously difficult. Worst company I've ever had the misfortune to become involved with. I had to call my banking institute to pull back the payment.
DO NOT RENT WITH PUBLIC STORAGE!! Especially if you require a receipt to expense a transaction with your company. Their customer service is useless and can't even email you a copy. I just spent 20 minutes trying to get a receipt for a charge on my corporate card and their suggested was I "go to the location office to have them print it." It's 2024.... you can't send me a digital receipt. I live in Ohio.... and this unit is in NC. Terrible company. Doesn't even deserve the 1 star. I have 2 units with this company, because they bought the unit I had in Ohio and now I will be cancelling both and will advice my company to not allow any other employees to us any Public Storage. This should not be easy and should not be a big deal, but now you've wasted my time.....
After speaking with the representative, Teray, today regarding payment for my unit that is currently a few days overdue, I was met with disappointment. Despite my inquiry about payment and expressing concerns about not receiving responses to my calls, Teray only asked about my payment schedule and refused to provide the access codes to my lockers as per the policy listed on the website. This lack of assistance and adherence to policy was frustrating, especially considering the difficulties I've faced in contacting the facility.
Moreover, when I explained that I no longer reside in the area and couldn't visit the location, Teray's attitude was unhelpful and dismissive. Despite my efforts to resolve the situation, I was met with resistance and attitude, leading me to disconnect the call feeling unheard and frustrated

Everything was great until move in day, they gave me a unit that was rented to someone else mistakes happen, two days of phone tag and still waiting for a manager to call and nothing yet. I have a trailer that I rented sitting in my driveway full for two days now and still no call from a manager . You call rings no one answers , someone finally answers only to be put on hold and somehow it hangs up or a manager will call to back but if you call to rent a unit someone answers the phone right away but not if you have a problem. What they have shown is the manager doesn’t care about the tenants only about the money this place is horrible , worst experience ever. Stay away appearance isn’t everything.
The worst rude customer service I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. They also “randomly” charge you $40 more a month…to $60 more a month. Until you reach 100 more a month. DO NOT RENT HERE. Random charges to your account and 0 help.

I'm vacating this unit now due to poor management.. Too many things to type
No lock on my unit and after calling 2 days in a row multiple times no one answered or returned my calls. I was forced to get a unit somewhere else
It's a great place for people are willing to help but I don't recommend paying over the phone.
12/30/2022 Two days before the new year i know it will be closed on the 1st I tried to pay over the phone.
I received my receipt in my email. on the 5th of January 2023 I received a text saying a reminder to pay your bill on the 5th.
So did my payment went through?
I always pay my bills on the 1st or a day before the 1st of the month.
This was my first attempt paying by phone and I think it would be easier just to show up in person to make my payment.
I wish I was able to give a 0 because this has been the worst experience ever..I rented a unit from this company and moved my furniture items in..I let a few weeks go by before I went back to the unit..when I finally check my unit I had water everywhere..there was a leak in the ceiling of my unit not to mention the sticky substance was on the floor of the unit when I rented it..they tell me to file a claim with orange door storage and I will be contacted..I was assigned an adjuster by the name of Caitlyn and some other guy named William..I’ve been calling them for about a week to still get no response..they will not exchange my unit saying I will have to pay my next months payment before I can obtain another unit..so I guess my things are just supposed to sit in a wet mildewed storage..this is unacceptable and I will be obtaining a lawyer because this is wrong in so many ways
Ellies or Elias I don’t remember his name but he was so helpful helping me and my mom with our unit after moving out here. Turns out he’s from my homestate . Would give the experience a 10/10 .
