I’ve been renting with public storage for over 12 years now, over multiple locations. Please don’t rent from public storage after my situation. This location was atrocious, I was in the process of moving from one location to another. I started the rental at the end of February in hopes to start the move in process throughout March. The manager Charles seems to have a tendency to overstep his authority and lie about customers on public storage records. On March 12th I received a move out email that indicated I requested to move out. I at no point requested that. When I showed up to resolve this issue, Charles notified me that they do this as regular business practice to get the attention of their customers. This was now the second time I had to show up to the office without good reason, as I was improperly charged for items I declined when signing the contract. When I asked Charles for their policy on this move out practice to get customers attention, he told me that his district manager would be in touch to explain that it was in their policy and best practice to do that at public storage. Again 12 years of business and at no point have I encountered this with with public storage. Charles notified me that he would reinstate the storage locker to my account. Upon receiving this I exited the office to go gather something from my storage locker. At this point Charles came out of the office and told me that I wasn’t allowed on the property. He proceeded to call the police on me for going to look at my locker. Unsure why as he had let me know less than 2 min prior that he had reinstated me to the locker. Three police officers showed up to the location one blasting past me asking for Charles by name. It appears this office is familiar Charles, from other reviews it looks like my situation happens frequently. After the police issue was resolved in a professional manner they directed us to contact Public Storage customer service, as we no longer have a storage unit. Charles has reported to our account false negative remarks. I asked Public Storage if they could get me the contact to the district manager as I wanted to clear things up. District Manager Benjamin Seghers refused to take my call after multiple public Storage escalations to speak with a district manager. Moving in on Feb 28th I paid $109 (prorated for the last 2 days of Feb and thru March) to cover my payments until April 1st. After being “moved out” by Charles (without my consent) I was only refunded $14 for my rental up until March 12th. They will move you out without your permission and fraudulently take your money as well. Please don’t rent from public storage I would never wish this emotionally distressing situation upon you and hope you never run into the type of location manager Charles and District manager Benjamin Seghers they have at public Storage.

Property manager actually called the police and had me removed from the property for trying to pay my storage. Definitely in the top five worst customer service experiences. First of all 2 days ago I received a move out receipt email and I never requested that and payment wasn’t due until June 1st. I called the location and was told that some guy called in and said he was moving out and the storage locker was cleaned out. I told the lady that I’m not a man and I never made a phone call and everything is still in my locker. She quickly corrected it and told me everything was back to normal. This morning I get there at 9:00 and my code doesn’t work after trying it numerous times. I call the office only to learn that they're not open until 9:30. So I walked down to wait at the door as I’m trying to get a hold of the 800 number. I noticed a woman walking into the side door and I go after her to ask if she works there and a guy named John comes up behind her and I tell him what's going on that it's pouring down rain I can’t get into my locker and I’m thinking it’s because of the mistake that public storage had made a few days ago. He tells me he does not get paid until 9:30 and I can come back then. Meanwhile my stuff is getting wetter and wetter. I was very shocked at how he responded to my crisis. I get that customer service is a dying art but the person that is living on site must have better people handling skills. And isn’t that why there is so done that lives on site? To handle emergencies when they arise?
I called and left a voicemail for the property manager to get ahold of me and I’m hoping he or she does because there are a lot of people looking for work right now and they need to find someone else.

Charles at the County Rd B location has shown outstanding customer service! He remembers me when I come in, is always willing to assist and has a great, positive attitude. I mentioned I was having trouble reaching the rope for the unit door, and he immediately added rope to make it easier for me. THANK YOU!

Rate increase after u move in.
"dear public storage" why you increasing prices with out any reason, For the last year rent of 5x5 storage increased from $40 to $79, now I get email that you will extra charge $50 deposit for Combination Lock Deposit. I'm not ready to pay you that money, and would like to reduce rent payment.
This company leads you in with a low rate and quickly raises the rates every few months. You do not have a contract for a rate so be aware a rate that starts at $79 can go to $309 fairly quickly. This is not a good option for long-term storage. The units themselves are clean and well-maintained good security and customer service at the site. It’s unfortunate that they price gouge but this is done at a corporate level, not at the individual storage facility.
The price of rent is increasing for no reason. They just sent us a notice that the price will increase, for last year I got 2 notices, rent had increased by 90%. Dear Public storage - please explain WHAT IS THE REASON? It looks like 5x5 storage in a couple years will cost as 1b apartment.
The manager was rude. She stayed inside her vehicle with the window down 1/4 of the way. She then started yelling something to us which we didn't hear cuz we had the radio on.
Angie helped me out in so many ways on getting my storage as this was my first time Even when I my code wasn't working she noticed and open the gate for me I see she's a very hard worker and I think the company is wrong for letting her go just from a customer's view If I where you I would rethink your decision hard and maybe reconsider that's just my opinion I really do think you're making a big mistake and that's coming from my heart I gave you a four star I would have gave you five star if you weren't letting go of a good employee

I would recommend to never use this storage facility they randomly place locks on your storage and can’t access your stuff and it’s way over priced. I’m moving and now I have to go home unload my truck reload it and come back tomorrow so they can unlock it. I will never use public storage again.

I come to move my stuff. This is the WORST parking lot.
Snow covered every entrance. terrible maintenance. Hopefully I don't break my ankle today walking on this slipper surfaces and walking through your mounded up snow against our doors.
I put 1 star even if I hadn't rented from here. But the fact that I have setup an appointment to come look at the property units and nobody was at the rental office and nobody was opening the door!? This isn't a good first impression for someone in search of a place to rent. I could already see that it's very unorganized. Where are the workers!? Why set me up when nobody is there?? Is it even open? Apparently, it's open but no information on their whereabouts. Horrible service already. They're not allowed to put any signs at the door informing ppl that they've stepped out of the office for awhile. Why?! Very ridiculous when they set up an appointment just to leave ppl confused and wondering what tf happened and wasting ppls time! We got places to go and got things to do, just saying. Half an hour of waiting of my life I won't get back! I will be looking else where that has better service
