(Update 28May24) I'm no longer an advocate or can recommend PS at all. My rent went from $110 to $250 a month for a 10'x10'. I didn't even call to attempt to understand or give them a chance to explain, this is a repeating scam because they have your stuff and hike up the price to either extort your money or put you in a situation where they auction your stuff. Rent at your own financial peril. Unfortunately my recent experience with Public Storage has shifted my perspective with the company. While this location is convenient and offers quick and easy access to all the units, the corporate and local policies say that the rental rate may change at any time. One would expect a 5-10% increase annually, but I was not expecting a 40% increase. When I called customer service, I was referred back to that reference in the contract and I told them I understood, but asked them to explain the 40% markup. I was told that when available units are in limited supply, the rates are increased. Shockingly they "found" a discount to apply on my account for 3 months that was the original contracted rate I was already paying. This is the second occasion in different locations (Yorktown VA) I've had this issue with the company. Additionally, getting access to the customer service rep was extremely difficult, I pushed #### to get to them. I've also had issues at this location with mildew in my unit, and was told not our problem, you didn't get insurance with us...so be cautious getting a basement floor unit, it's cooler temps but seems a lot of moisture is getting into the building, and they don't seem to be concerned about taking care of customers or protecting their possessions beyond a metal wall and lockable garage door. TDLR: PS will price gouge you in hopes you'll move out in order to bring in another customer at a higher monthly rate. I no longer would recommend this company as it's too much work to handle their dramatic attempts at profit margins.

They just raised the rent again over 50$!!!!!!!! This is the 3rd time. Going to telegraph storage. It’s veteran owned and they don’t raise prices that significant. Public storage is some clowns
