Extremely rude! Mahfuza Refuses to put a work order in for my unit to have its light checked/fixed. I am going on 3 months in my unit and no lights have been installed although we have been requesting maintenance since Day 1. I hope to find the owner’s information online as she refuses to provide any member of management’s contact information and also could not give me a day or timeframe I could expect to see a change. Mahfuza smirked and grinned as if she was very satisfied with her performance when I stated that I would be reporting her behavior. Please put a light in my unit!! That is all I need! Oh and when I arrived, the entrance door was locked and no one but a purse was at the desk. It took Mahfuza quite a while to get the door open as the door evidently had mechanical problems. This is a safety hazard! OSHA should be called if any other customer arrives and feels the employee’s safety is at risk!

Dear reader, Let me tell you about this little gem-of-a-certified grouphome for inanimate objects. It's clean, safe, and, the staff is just marvelous. Kevin was a doll in getting me set up with my sheshed for my obligatory personal items and made the process a breeze. Will be coming back here... And not just cuz my stuff is piled into one of those cells 😉 give them a pizza party!

They will not answer the phone nor are they at the property. The only thing they are good at is taking money and not allowing any human interaction. Be careful doing business with them

Beware...I started at one tate..no more than 4 months later and they increased the rate.When I called all they said is they have the right to change rates. . Any reputable business would at least give you a year.. Not a months notice after you just moved in...

A bit of an older building but the guy at the desk was really helpful in answering my questions. I didn't end up getting a space here (it's not as close to home as a I thought it was) but would recommend if you need a space in that area

Mr. Mohammad, Public Storage in Lorton on Telegraph Road, was very professional and kind. The hospitality he showed us made us feel very important like VIP customers. We are a military family and new here to VA. I was raised and only lived in the "southern" areas (Georgia to Texas) and I am used to Southern hospitality, he made us feel like we never left! Mr. Mohammad, is an older gentleman with a sweet and kind personality. He called me the day we were supposed to be there and I told him "we are new here and not used to the roads" (because it was below freezing) and we were trying to "calm our son before we left the house". Mr. Mohammad said, "take care of that baby! Babies are so very precious and babies need to come first. Be safe ma'am." Hearing Mr. Mohammad tell us that our baby comes first made me feel at ease to do business. He seems to appreciate family life. So Thank you Mr. Mohammad !!! Keep up the great personality and professionalism!!!

I would like to say the property manager Erica did good with my dad. He came in to pay his rent she mention to him that starting next month his rent would be raised. He asked for some type of discount for elder she said that they don’t do that but it’s there something I can try to help you out with. He got to telling her his problems and she said if you want I can create and issue and let’s see what can be done. She told him that it would take about 72 hours with an answer and guess what Liessssss (LOL) she called back in less than four hours with a responses. Said if anything else she can do please don’t hesitate to call her back. That’s what I’m talking about if I could give more than 5 ⭐️ I would give her a 10 for effort, great timely manner, great customer service and such a great Spirit. Thanks again.

I was shown a future unit at this property. First the property manager Tommy was on point with all the details of the unit. Once taken to the unit I saw a 5x10 and it was nice and clean. After taking the tour I received a great price for the unit.

I must say that this place was actually bigger than what I thought. Clean area friendly staff. Wanted to see a storage space Erica showed me gave me some numbers that I could work with. Even told me who the property manager is when I need to call back with the confirmed number of spaces that I would need for my company.

I would give this place a 5 star Erica was very helpful in getting me in a unit without and issue. She showed me a spot it was the last one and it needed to be a little tidy and she cleaned it up before I could get back with the truck and had my lock in hand. She even sold me a damp check in which I never heard of and she explained it to me very well.

Erica is very professional she called me to remind that my wife forgot to pay her bill and what methods to use. I never knew that we could pay at any other public storage while we are out of town.

Great prices, clean units and great customer service.

I have a unit at this location and another in Springfield. They will jack up the price by 25% after a few months. I called customer service and they claim it is still below the "market rate". Also, units are subject to changing the rate anytime. It's an old location and should not cost a premium price. I will be out as soon a possible.

I am at public storage right now and Tommie came up to ask me questions about my 57 chevy, he was very nice, nice place to come to.

DO NOT use this place!!!!!!! They will raise your fee a few months after you move all your stuff in to the unit!!! I will be moving all my stuff out of this place ASAP!!! This is disgusting!!!! Raising my bill from $111 to $137 is ridiculously wrong!!!! I will never use "public storage" again!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had The Most pleasant experience when I went to PS to inquire about a unit and we all know that packing, moving and of course Storage can be a Task . Surprisingly Mr. Ware made it less stressful by helping me understand how they operate. He was very thorough and pleasant to deal with . However I didn't need a unit after all but I highly recommend this location. Oh" Very Clean Tooo 🙂 Thanks Mr. Ware🙂

Locked dumpster so only office could use it. My unit constantly had mud and debris outside it because if poor drainage. I asked for them to call me when a different unit opened but they never called. They won't transfer outstanding balance to other public storage locations.

Nice management. It was easy to get started by searching internet. Too much legal stuff to figure out when signing up. I didn't understand all of it and I feel like I probably should have spent more time trying to figure out the details of the insurance. They sucked me in and I bought because they said it was required. I feel like the property should have some sort of insurance up to a certain point. It was easy to get in quickly other than the legal stuff.

On 13 April 2018, I opened an account for the third time and found the experience to be better than ever. Ms. Lena handled the paperwork for property number 08155 at 8514 Telegraph Road, and was super efficient, patient and able to anticipate and accommodate my specific needs. People like her will keep me coming back again and again.

The storage rooms have spiders and walls are falling apart. Made it very easy for rain to get into the units after heavy downpour.

Very easy to access and simple to start your lease and terminate it. The staff is very friendly and the facility is clean. Only thing I would suggest is possibly fixing the payment machine. When we paid for our original fees ($25) the machine ended up charging us 2 times, though the staff was extremely helpful in getting that money back to us by crediting our next months rent by $25. I would absolutely recommend this place again and again!

Reserve online because is a lot cheaper than onsite (they will not tell you that) they will also tell you that a lock is included on the price... not true they are charging you almost $20 for the lock so bring your own disc lock. Also service is a bit slow so be prepared to wait at least 30-40 minutes to get your unit. Other than that place and units are clean.

I just moved in today. The manager Lena was great to deal with. She made navigating through the paperwork flow smoothly and quickly. Good experience so far!

Lena is awesome! She was professional, calm, and pleasant during my stressful moving experience. The unit that I rented is clean, safe and very accessible. She was especially helpful when I realized I had rented the wrong size after the movers had packed me up. No worries as we worked together to find a bigger and better unit. Would highly recommend her and this Public Storage facility to friends and family.

My initial contact with Lena came when she noticed the overhead light in my unit needed repair. I find Lena very helpful and people oriented. I've visited the storage facility a number of times during heatwaves, torrential downpours, and most recently a massive snowstorm. Anyone who works for a living will appreciate Lena. She's dependable, knowledgable and, a hard worker. Lena provides great customer service. Two thumbs up!

Just started storing my business items here. Lena, who works the front desk, is very accommodating. She's friendly and knowledgable. Units look clean. Upper floor only accessible by stairs. Wish there was an elevator! But the rate was awesome.

The facility is well maintained, the manager (Akbar) is fantastic, and it was easy to secure a storage unit. Easy access morning to night. It's not cheap, but well worth it. Akbar truly makes the difference and helped me and my family feel welcome and well cared for. I highly recommend using this Public Storage if you need something in the area.

I've had the pleasure of working with Mr. Awbar at the Telegraph Avenue locale for many years. Between deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq, he was always extraordinarily helpful. He seemed genuinely interested in my welfare and always sought to get me the best possible deal for the money. I reserved a storage unit for this facility online recently and was helped at the office with the rental paperwork by Akbar. He was very friendly and able to answer all my questions. He showed me the unit I would be renting and when I returned a few days later with a moving truck, Akbar opened a secured gate that is next to my unit so the truck could be parked as close to the unit as possible. The facility is very clean and well maintained and if you need a storage unit in the Lorton/Alexandria area I would highly recommend this facility.

I'm new to this area and was looking a place for storage so I visited this property. This is a very nice and clean property. And the property manager Mr. Akbar was very helpful and friendly, he gave me a tour of the whole property and suggested me some storage space to accommodate my needs. I will definitely be getting a space at this property.

I've been a public storage customer for a while now and I've had great satisfaction with the company and the manager, Mr. Akbar. He's a well known and very responsible gentleman. The space is enough for me to put away all of my belongings and it's also very clean. He also found me an even better rate than what I found online. The storage facility was clean and safe. Unlike some rental organizations where they're accomodating in the beginning but not when it's time to leave, Mr. Mohammad and Mr. Akbar bent over backwards to help me check out very quickly at the end of the month with little advance notice, so I didn't have to pay for another month. I am very happy with the excellent customer support, and would recommend this Public Storage site to my family and friends.

I came by the property to buy some moving supplies and my overall experience was simply excellent! The employees, Mr. Mohammad and Mr.Akbar were extremely customer friendly. They were very pleasant and actually helped carrying the stuff that I bought to my car - I was very satisfied with my overall experience! The manager Mr. Akbar is the best and runs a clean and efficient operation. I would consider renting at this location if I had the need again because of Mr. Akbar's excellent customer service. However, Public Storage does have a habit of raising your rate every few months so if your need is long term it can get expensive very quickly.

I have had a unit at this location for ten years. I have seen managers come and go but out of the ten years there has never been a manager as good as Akar. His professionalism and geniune concern for his customers is remarkable. He always greet you with a warm and friendly smile. I probably would have moved out by now but because of Akbar willingness to help me with my unit when issues arrives it hard to move on. It wasn't until the end of August, when I closed it out, that I saw Akbar again and he remembered my name. IMPRESSIVE!!!! The unit was exactly the size I needed. It was clean and very accessible.
