IF YOU VALUE YOUR BELONGINGS, YOUR TIME, YOUR MONEY, OR YOUR SANITY, THINK TWICE BEFORE RENTING HERE!
My husband and I have TWO storage units at this facility, both on the THIRD FLOOR, packed with our household belongings.
On Friday, October 16, we arrived at 8:00 a.m. with THREE professional movers, ready to load our belongings and move to our new home.
SURPRISE! BOTH ELEVATORS WERE OUT OF ORDER.
No advance warning. No email. No text message. No phone call. NOTHING.
Yet somehow, Public Storage has absolutely no trouble contacting us when they want a payment, want to complain about something, or want us to rate our experience.
Apparently, notifying paying customers that they cannot reasonably access their belongings isn't quite as important.
We were told we could simply carry everything down the stairs.
SERIOUSLY?
TWO packed storage units. THIRD FLOOR. Heavy household furniture. Professional movers charging by the quarter hour.
And who would be expected to pay for all those additional hours of labor? Apparently, WE WOULD.
Our three movers stood there for an hour and a half before we finally had to send them home. They were prepared to charge us for that time, and understandably so. The ONLY reason we weren't charged was because I practically begged the moving company to work with us.
Those three men lost 90 minutes of their Friday morning, and we lost our scheduled move.
I spoke directly with an employee named Laura, who told me they would contact us when they had information.
When I explained that this was unacceptable and requested a direct number for someone who could actually provide answers, I was told they weren't allowed to give out that information.
So apparently, customers are expected to sit around indefinitely, waiting for someone to decide to communicate with them.
AS OF SUNDAY, OCTOBER 18, WE HAVE RECEIVED NOT ONE WORD FROM FACILITY MANAGEMENT.
Meanwhile, another customer posted a review THIS MORNING reporting that both elevators are STILL out of service. I also just read a review from FOUR YEARS ago complaining about ongoing elevator issues.
And this isn't the first time there have been problems with these elevators.
During a previous visit, we personally noticed a strong sewage-like odor in the elevator lobby. A friend who also rents at this facility described an earlier incident in which she witnessed open elevator doors with no elevator car present and what appeared to be sewage running down the shaft.
That account alone raises some extremely serious questions about maintenance and safety.
But here's the part that really takes the cake.
After our disastrous visit Friday morning, Public Storage's automated system contacted us asking us to RATE OUR EXPERIENCE.

HERE IT IS.
Our household belongings, including my bed, remain inaccessible without unreasonable additional expense. I live with chronic pain, and being unable to get my bed into our new home is affecting my health and sleep.
This is no longer a minor inconvenience.
We are paying customers who cannot reasonably access our property, cannot get a definite answer about when the elevators will work, and cannot get management to return our calls.
PUBLIC STORAGE, YOU HAVE OUR CONTACT INFORMATION. YOU CLEARLY KNOW HOW TO USE IT WHEN YOU WANT SOMETHING. HOW ABOUT USING IT WHEN YOUR CUSTOMERS NEED HELP?
I am requesting immediate contact from someone in management with the authority to provide an actual solution, not another vague promise that someone will call someday.
Until this is resolved, I cannot recommend this facility to anyone. And until this is resolved I live in an empty house with no beds, no furniture, no tables, chairs, etc.

The rates keep increasing and the quality of the facility keeps DECREASING!
Arrives this AM to access our 2nd floor unit to find both elevators out of order! This company notified us of every increase in rate and every payment- how hard would it have been to send an email informing customers that the elevators were not working? Had to haul 12 boxes up the stairs - not the workout we had in mind this AM. Will be exploring other options for storage.
And the building door access code still doesn’t work except by entering the door code- constant problem.
Staff knowledgeable and friendly. In side always clean and tidy.
The smell in the L building is so bad at this point, I sincerely believe it's toxic to inhale. They told me in August it was being addressed, but it's only gotten worse and has now turned sulfuric. Someone, please, please do something.

I went online to purchase a unit at 9 am. Paid for it and went and got my belongings. Once on the property the code I was given to access the door did not work. Called the customer service number on the door. They could not give me a different code or give me correct instructions to get into my paid for unit. We did this until 6 pm when they closed. The person on the phone was able to let me out of the property but I didn’t not get a refund. I was not able to unpack my uhaul so I had to pay to keep it instead of unloading it. I have called yesterday and today and left voice mails. No one answers or calls back. So I’m sitting here with a $64 charge for a storage unit that I was never able to access and a Uhaul still not unloaded. No communication, no help and no consideration for a customer trying to access her unit for hours in the summer heat.Very quickly did the online process take my money but getting it back seems like no one wants to take that call. I will never use this company again

Heather D. ALSO RUNS; and quite well I might add… if anyone is working at corporate and is willing to call me I would like to ask them why she hasn’t been in management training since day one. Extremely professional sales woman and I could easily see her leading… really any team. I thanked her for being so knowledgeable and helpful and she was kind enough to say how sorry she was for the loss of my father (which 95% of people in positions don’t even attempt to remember about clients… but when done without training is a rare thing. Some of us are just born with it, and you PS board members all the way to regional management in the in snd surrounding areas should lend credence to Heather D., she just had it.

Just an FYI: They charge you for insurance which most places Do Not, you can get insurance thru your home owners or car.
1) They Never answer the calls/messages you leave them.
2) I came in on 1-2-2026 @ 330pm..... Heather was nice at first and I thought everything was good then here it all started: Heather asked me to write her a good review. I would of but then .. no key, never showed me the place or my storage unit, I had to search for it myself, came in next day to put things in my storage unit and had to wait 1 hour for Christopher/other person on 1-3-2026 to come in to give me a lock which should of been given to me.. Heather never gave it to me.
3) When I came back again in Feb 2026 to put more things in my unit, there was so much ice at the front where my storage area was ...myself and 3 to 4 other people there could of fell... we were slipping and sliding. I called and left a message, no response again.
I CANCELLED THE PLACE ON FEB 12, 2O26......

I have been a member here for five or so months. I just needed to upgrade to a different unit, so I spoke to the staff on site. Chris and Teddi were super helpful. I told them exactly what I needed and the issues I was currently having.
The computer was not showing any inventory, but Teddi knew some units that just became available. She showed them to me right on the spot and one was perfect. I just moved everything to the new unit and I couldn’t be happier with their customer service.
As for the location itself, I switched from the L building because my unit was located very far in the back and my cell phone had no service there. That made my work very difficult bc I needed services to scan work products and such, and complete other activities. Also, I had to consistently log 50 pounds or more of devices for work and it was a far distance when there werent carts available. Also, rarely were carts available in that building, even on weekdays.
Staff here definitely gets a five star, but the facility itself gets a three. My new unit will be much better because it is located toward the front and the unit itself is right by the door of the building with full bars of service
Teddi was so sweet and patient with us as we talked through what we needed. She helped us pick a space that would work best for our plans, and answered all of our random questions. Looking forward to using this space to make room in our home!

Almost half of everything is broken and if you end up inside after closing then you will be locked inside.
My sister and I rented this until for 5 months to help us as we cleaned out a relatives home who had recently passed. Heather was a dream to work with and helped make a hard process so much easier. We needed her help with a lock issue as well as move out and Heather was so helpful, communicative and pleasant to work with. If you are in Hurst and need storage this is the place to go! Just watch your rate and make sure you check your emails for any potential increase but other than that - it’s a very easy and streamlined process with units that feel very protected.

Public Storage nearly doubled our rent within a few months of signing up saying that it was "in the contract" that they could raise the prices anytime they wanted. They said they would try to fix it if I changed my previous negative google review and charged me the old, lower rate for 4 months before doubling it again. Be advised that they will immediately raise your rent!
Absolutely disgusting climate controlled unit. There's rat droppings everywhere and really surprised because I have another unit here that was very clean on move in day. Super disappointed and of course no one is in the office to talk to.
Recently visited the storage needing assistance on payment due to computer glitch. Dwayne’s warm welcome and assistance made the visit worth while.
Update: i am now seeing carts more often.... can we have a working restroom now as well? Not everyone who visits is local.
I have climate control storage here and there are supposed to be carts accessible. Even when there are no cars in the parking lot there are no carts. Making having this storage not as promised
Moved in yesterday, someone already attempted to break into my unit that you have to pass 4 access code entry points to enter. No staff on location despite the website saying they are open. I wouldn’t keep your belongings here if you have a choice.

I needed a pulley dummy (which usually are multiple available parked inside the building) NONE IN SIGHT or around.
I called the front desk and reached an actual human to ask if I could get one, and was treated so RUDELY! Instead of doing HER JOB and helping me, the agents' tone and candor was HELLA disrespectful.
She asked for my name and unit information and then proceeded to tell me "oh you're rent is late" as if that mattered to where she was going to help or not, who does that!!
I needed to access my unit today but the auto doors to the building were suck. I had to wait minutes for someone to come down and EXIT to enter. Gate code screen buttons are always BROKEN, BATHROOMS are out of commission. Can't wait to come back and take my junk elsewhere.

I need to talk to someone because when you broke my locks and put one of your locks, someone stole a large Sony car speaker from my space and no one wants to solve the problem with the speaker, and even so, you want me to continue paying the rent for the place when no one solves the problem with the theft of the speaker. You have cameras and can check who took it. I attach a photo of my speaker.
Leo was so incredibly helpful when it came to deciding on which unit I could change to. I just didn’t need the larger one anymore and he helped me out so greatly trying to figure out which unit I could still use. And I’m very thankful that the bathroom situation at least one of the bathrooms is working now. I was probably going to have to leave the Storage complex and go someplace else because I just couldn’t afford it and the fact that I needed a bathroom because I’m getting older and sometimes I’m in my unit for 5 to 6 hours straightening up and remarking bins. It was very easy to set up a new rental of a storage unit over the phone, and the sale price was nice, but I'm giving it 4 stars because it said the unit was in a convenient location (by the elevator), and I specifically checked this with the representative over the phone, but my unit is nowhere near the elevator. Other than that, the price is way better than the other places

I needed to rent a small storage and I had a little bit of a hiccup trying to select where exactly the unit would be located. I was able to call and speak with Janie, who helped me select the one I wanted and was super friendly and helpful. Then when we got there, it unfortunately was not unlocked yet. We called down to the office again and got fast and friendly assistance from Leo! He came up to help right away and didn’t just run off the second he unlocked it for us. He showed true hospitality and genuinely was interested in ensuring we had a good experience.

We’ve been renting a space here for quite some time and they are CROOKS! Signed up for a $50/month for our unit originally, then looked at the bill some time later and it was $120 a month. We then called and if they had any units the same size. They offered us a unit two units down for the original price…. This happened MULTIPLE TIMES! Essentially they would drive up the price randomly so that we would be forced to either pay way more money per month or move all our stuff to a unit right beside ours. They do this because it is a total inconvenience for people to move and they want to take advantage of customers. The final straw was this month when they forced us vacate our unit early for “renovation” but then told us they will not prorate us for being forced to leave early when we have paid through the end of the month! Save yourself the hassle and don’t go here!!!

I am giving four stars because up until Teddy became manager, I've had multiple issues with this place! None of them pertain to the current management, which thank God they got.
What I was dealing with: NO phone calls returned after leaving multiple messages pertaining to questions about my rent/late-fees, etc. I am very good with communication so it's extremely frustrating when I am dealing with people who AREN'T. ESPECIALLY when I am paying $173 a month, which originally started out at $120!!
The voicemail message of the former manager or whoever it was claims that they care about your business and we'll get back to you. Never happens.

This is the worst storage facility. I rented a small unit and needed up not needing it. I processed a move out in 4/24/23. I never moved anything into the unit and no lock was ever placed. They manager at the actual storage unit Terry never processed the move out. Therefore, my bank acct was drafted on 5/3/23 for the monthly storage amount. I called on 5/4/23 and Terry emailed the Distrist Manager about this. She gave me the District Managers contact info. I have left several messages and asked for someone above Jessica which is Erica Travato and she never returned can’t calls either. I had to call customer service and they told me this still hasn’t been closed out as of 5/17/24. They emailed Jessica Moore the District Manager and wanted me to give 24-48 for me to get a response. The customer service rep also requested for a refund but until this gets completely closed out that won’t be processed. BEWARE WHEN RENTING FROM HERE!!! TERRIBLE SERVICE FROM THE ACTUAL ONSITE REPS TERRY AND BRANDY AND THE DISTRICT MGR JESSICA MOORE ANS HER MGR ERICA TRAVATO.
Terry was so professional, explained everything! Set up process was very easy and took less than 10 minutes. Great place !
I don't have a unit at this location, but it is the closest to where I currently live. I stopped in to pay the bill for the unit at a location, where I used to live. Brandi was so delightful and helpful. She is an asset to PS.

I reserved a unit online, rates were relatively low. I went to the office to finish my rental. Hello do you love me was very friendly and quick. I was pleasantly delighted with her efficiency.

I really wish that I could leave half a star for the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. (Yes that is a bit of an exaggeration) I’ve been trying to get a hold of a customer representative for my property manager for two days now even before the holiday and nobody answered. I’m just trying to ensure that I gave notice correctly and that my property manager will see it and seeing as how my property manager never responds to a voicemail, gives a call back and their door is currently locked when it says that they’re open online—should be a great indicator of how not great the customer service was.
The lady at the counter was very helpful.

I've been renting a storage unit here for over a year and even had to upgrade to a larger unit.
Both Brandi & Terry have been absolutely wonderful! I found it interesting and also refreshing that even after a long day working on an Ambulance, coming in to pay my bill was quick and easy. No hassle, no attitude.
I even noted how they were both warm welcoming and smiling just before they closed up. The energy, the vibes... it was all Good!!
This place is has two entry points for easy access. It's also been clean all around the property & inside the building every time I've come through. This is another example of the good work Brandi & Terry do there!
So thank you so much for having the best staff and a great place where I trust to keep my extra things.

Facilities are nice. What you have to watch out for is rate hikes every 3-6 months. I started renting a 10x10 unit for around $110/month which was competitive for the area. Within 6 months they raised my rate to $136/month. I decided to stay because I already had stuff moved in and it was convenient to my house.
1 year after the rate hike, I get a letter in the mail informing me that they are going to increase my rate to over $150/month for the same unit. I checked online and they are charging new units of the same size as my unit for $136 so I called and got them to not increase my rate....at least for the next 3 months. This is ridiculous!! I'm looking to store things long-term not worry about moving my items after 3-6 months.
Its okay to rent here but watch what corporate is doing with the rate of your unit!!
I finally moved out. They were charging over $180 for the same j it I moved into 5 years earlier.
Upon move out they don’t return phone calls nor issue a refund for the remaining amount of days left in the month.
Rent elsewhere! Unacceptable way to treat customers who’ve been with them for over 5 years!!
Just moved here and called to enquire about availability. Terry answered the phone and I was immediately sold. My kind of place with employees like this. Then we met when I signed the rental agreement. Even more helpful and nice! Plus, the facilities are outstanding!
This is the best place for storage! The manager Brandi Melendez is so nice and caring. She goes above and beyond to make sure the property is clean and the customers are taken care of. I will continue using Public Storage because of the exceptional service that she has always given me. I give 5 stars! 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟
I have been continuously charged for my old unit I moved out of and no one with this facility or public storage will answer or return calls. I’m so frustrated and have been taken advantage of. It’s wrong to treat people like this and take/scam them out of their money.
A place to store your stuff. The one we have is indoors, not climate controlled per se, but it doesn't get overly hot inside. Friendly staff.
Recently, they raised the rates, but we were able to negotiate with them before the deadline.
Very poor administration of utilities.

We have rented at this location for over 20 years and needed to rent a second unit for more space. Brandi helped us make the experience a good one. Brandi was very professional, knowledgeable and kind. Plus she has a beautiful smile. I highly recommend renting from this location and asking Brandi for any assistance.
Horrible continuous experience and would not recommend to anyone I don't know how many times I've shown up to find my storage unit inaccessible because something was wrong with the elevator or the electricity was off in the building. I talked to the management and they're more or less clueless and incapable of doing anything because they're basically caretakers.
The best interaction I've had with this public storage facility was when I was walking down the corridors to my storage unit last year and slipped and fell in some kind of liquid. I believe it was some kind of fire retardation system from the overhead fire suppression system. I have lots of pictures. Fortunately I wasn't too badly injured but when I brought this the management's attention they didn't offer to take an accident report or to help or apologize in any way. They didn't say they would pass the information on to the district manager including my phone number and that they would reach out to me but that never occurred either.
Before I get a response to this review by Public Storage or whatever company they have hired to handle their online reputation, here's how you resolve this: one months refund for the month of April. And apology for the lack of service and accessibility to my property over the 2 years that I've been contracting with you. Nothing else will surfice
Update: it's been almost a week without a response from Public Storage. Obviously this is representative of their true attitude towards their customers.
With the wide range of choices for storage facilities in this area I recommend people look elsewhere. This facility is cheap for a reason.

Shelley was most helpful and Got me signed up, and squared away despite Public Storage's computer software / IT crashing. Yes indeed it was frustrating, but Shelly still got the job done despite it all plus, tending to other customers needs, all at the same time. I can't say enough about the wonderful service at Public Storage. We worked with Terry, who helped us with our need to move from a 5x10 to a 10x10. Being disabled, it was important that we were able to have the new unit close to the original one. She was able to keep us on the same floor, just around the corner from our original storage unit. It made all the difference in transferring our things from the 5x10 to the 10x10 all in the same morning. Thank you Terry!! We really appreciate your kindness and service.
This location is excellent. Despite the size of the complex, the staff is fast, friendly, and efficient. Brandi helped me with a problem with my lock in a matter of minutes. Again, great location great staff!!!!

We've had our unit since we got evicted in August and of the workers I've had to deal with, Shelly was the one who stood out the most. She was personable, kind and very helpful. These days its getting hard to find employees like her that treat you with dignity and respect. The place is always clean and its really easy to get your questions answered in a timely fashion.
Terry has always been so helpful and super sweet and positive all the time! She goes out of her way to help you out and feel comfortable!
