On the positive side, we successfully stored our household good in 2 storage units for 4 months. However, it was not a good experience with the property. We paid for climate control which never appeared to work. There were also lights that never worked and doors never fixed. The gates always worked so that maybe kept our stuff safe. Its not open 24 hrs and that was fine with us. A nice staff member switched our two units to be closer together in the same building and close to exit doors when we started in Aug so that was helpful. The older building had some bad smells so happy not to be in it. Also they had numerous bathroom issues and at one point we were not allowed to use the bathroom tho we were there for hours with the movers moving out our stuff. My husband had to go over to the furniture store. The manager did not respond to my calls or emails. Do not recommend as their customer service was poor and the units were not clean or well kept.

Horrible customer service. No matter what time of day it is, no one will answer the phone. They tell you to leave a voicemail but you never get a call back. I called the 800 number and was able to get through but couldn’t get in my account because the last 4 of the license number was incorrect. Why? The store associate apparently copied it wrong on my paperwork. Also, the dolly is normally in the office and yes, of course, not able to be occupied because there’s no one inside. This location is good for the basic necessity of storing my things due to an emergency move but never will I ever rent from this location again!

Not a great experience never heard of a storage area locking you out of the gate for a late payment this is crazy everyone doesn't get paid at the same time and I don't think it's acceptable at all
I recently started renting a unit at this Publuc Storage location and I wanted to post how happy I am with the decision. I’m confident my belongings are safe, access is simple and secure, the price was competitive, and the facilities are clean.
I will say though, the icing on the cake was the ease of setting up the rental and the terrific staff at Public Storage 4555 South Blvd. Maria, Rebecca, and La La were so helpful and friendly! They also offered the ability to purchase moving supplies (which they have many box sizes, tape, etc.) to help with my move, but I had already boxed and taped up everything. Good to know in the future, though.
If you’re looking for storage I recommend Public Storage at 4555 South Blvd.

Horrible experience!! Leased a 20x14 on September 10, 2024, via online aka The public storage app. Arrived at unit 00402 and there was a lock on the unit. No one in the office and no one answering any phones in the local offices. I called and left 4 voicemails to this number, (704) 200 9533. I had 4 movers in a 26ft truck waiting this entire time = $185.00 per hour. My credit card was charged $248.44. This is the SECOND time this has happened to me. The last time, it took several months for my credit card to get refunded.
I was forced to find another storage spot with Extra Space Storage, thankfully, they had a manager in the office. This mishap cost me over $450 with the movers that I had hired. BEWARE!!!
Just made a payment with Maria and she is great! This property gets better every visit, thank you for the consistency and a safe place to store my collectibles.
Brenda Johnson and the team at 4555 South Blvd. were extremely helpful in resolving an issue when attempting to access our unit after several months. There was confusion when the unit number on rental agreement and actual number did not agree. Brenda went out of her way to accommodate us and make sure we could gain access. She communicated seamlessly and made every effort to ensure we were satisfied!
No matter what time of day you go. No one is ever in the office. As I was filling my unit I noticed the workers lounging in the back of the temp controlled storage units. I have waited outside for over 40 minutes before someone came to the door. I would not go to this public storage there is one less than a mile from this one, go there.
Brenda the manager was super nice while the property Manager was assisting another customer. Not Use to upper management jumping in to help says alot anout this business.

Worst experience ever , I was told as long as I moved out by the first like anywhere else I wouldn't be charged now I'm being charged for a whole month and I no longer have belongings there. Manager has no sympathy a for anyone or their situations just disregard me, all they care about is their money , and I'm sure they are going to make the money twice when they rent it to someone during the month I still have to pay for smh. I never had this issue at any other storage place in the past. Very ghetto, no one is ever in the office and they never answer the phones.
I had the most wonderful experience with the agent there at the s Blvd location. Her name is Tiffany very professional and caring about our needs I wish I could have experienced that in many other businesses that I have had to do with business with. She is a 10 in my book. Great personality
I will delete my one star review when you fix your terrible alarm system. It’s gone off 50 times tonight since 9 pm. It goes off every night at 9 pm. Last night it woke me up at 1 am. It’s clearly not working or you have a massive theft issue as it’s going off every minute for the last hour. Also, no one’s doing anything about the “theft” so maybe your customers should be concerned about the security here. Major disturbing the peace violation. Please get it fixed.

They are COMPLETE SCAMMERS, They Made Up Stuff Just To Charge Us && Then Sold My Stuff After I Was Late For Only One month
This place is terrible. They are nothing but scammers who make up "rules" just so they can add extra charges onto your account. They sold all my stuff because I was late 1 month on my payments. On top of selling my stuff they are trying to say I still owe them money. I will never recommend this place to ANYONE and I would give 0 stars if I could. If you need to store your things please look elsewhere.
We had an outside unit in the back for approx 24 hours and our unit along with several other units was burglarized. Worst part you can only claim $5k for insurance.
I was here on 09/13/2023. The auto gate was wide open. On 09/16/2023 I received a phone call that my unit was tampered with. I asked them if they were gonna secure it and they said they would do something. When I showed on 09/17/2023, my unit was unlocked and the hasp was broken off. I couldn’t even put a new lock on it. Calling did nothing. No one cared. When I returned on 09/19/2023 to move items to a new unit I found my original one wide open and all items missing. Oh, did I mention that the auto gate was down and after an hour in the phone, a customer told me there was a gate wide open in the other side. And the back door is also wide open. If you’re a thief, this is your place.
Rent at this location if you want to these people people are not right and I was warned before going there.
HORRIBLE, UNSCRUPULOUS, DECEITFUL.........Rent has gone up without notice from $69/month to $180!!! And if you are 1 day late paying the rent because their poor website rarely works, lookout !!!...they'll harass you as if you defaulted on a mortgage. SO HAPPY to be out!!! Due diligence and store your belongings with another company.

These people are scamming people out they money!!! For 7 months our rate was 139.00. Then in August it went a extra 30.00 and the. 1 month later it went up another 30.00 !! The management at this specific location are clearly pocketing the money!!! Here we are struggyto pay the 139.00 per month becos we are both disabled and they steadily upping the rent !!! We called other public storage places and the rates remain the same!!! We already struggling and for the management of this 4555 South Blvd location to scam us and try to pocket extra money of us is horrendous!!! We will be reporting to BBB first thing Monday!!!!
I had a storage unit here and they gave me one with a faulty door. Someone was able to lift the door and steal almost all of my personal belongings. The office and corporate are impossible to get in contact with.

From my experiences, no one is ever in office when I do decide to come nor can I access my unit during business hours. Unreasonable especially since I come when I get a chance to because I travel for work so by the time someone contacts me it’s irrelevant. A day or two later is too late but I’m always contacted right on time to remind me of my due payments 😞

The staff here is top notch! Management is amazing! The customer service I received was over and beyond expectations. I was in great need of help and they worked with me to find a good solution and fit. They are very good with communicating and getting the information I needed in a certain time frame . They took good care of my situation and all of my loved possesions...I trust in them and my belongings and would reccomend this location because they do truly care!

Lost story short my husband and I had our belongings in this unit for maybe 3 hours at most. It smelled awful in the “climate controlled” building. It hit me as soon as we walked in but I thought I was over reacting. Moving is stressful enough so I didn’t wanna make a fuss about it. We moved our stuff in and after we left I had a pounding heading due to the potent smell of moth balls and chemicals. I couldn’t bare the thought of leaving our stuff in the unit for 2 months and have that awful smell seep into all of our belongings. I told my husband I wanted to find another facility. I’m so glad I trusted my gut because when we returned to move our stuff out I noticed something in our unit. Rodent poisoning. YUM! We tried to get a refund but the district manager denied it because we used our gate code 3 times. 4555 south boulevard
