Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 2130 Cambridge Beltway Drive, Charlotte, NC

I’m not sure what is going on with this particular location but the service has went downhill over the past year and I would not recommend anyone consider renting from this location. I went to access my unit and for some unexplained reason they changed my lock without any notice. I was unable to access my units and I’ve attempted to contact management with numerous messages no response or returned calls….no one is ever at the front office. It’s been numerous days and I’ve still been unable to access my unit. There is constant trash at the dumpster and the entry doors over the weekend were left open which means anyone with bad intentions could access the main building housing the units….renter be aware!

Dana really helped my aunt who was in desperate need of a storage space she explained the process so easily.

I had a very great experience here. The staff is amazing! Shout out to Dana...... she was very helpful and made my move in and move out virtually hassle free.

This storage facility is horrible. My unit was broken into and my belongings were taken. Management refuses to cooperate with law enforcement mist likely because its an insude job.Orange door insurance is a joke they have refused my claim even though I had there insurance. Public storage can't be trusted with your valuables.

When I moved into the unit initially there were items that were not mine already there. I am atill waiting to have that resolved. I was charged for a lock that was never provided. I have been to the facility several times during business hours I have never seen anyone there at the desk. The office was closed every visit. The elevator was broken. I have called the facility on multiple occasions and no one has ever answered the phone there. A terrible experience dealing with Public Storage. I do not recommend them at all.

Had a great experience yesterday with Teray (sp). She made the process quick and easy. She was extremely knowledgable and eager to help. I'd highly recommend this location and Teray specifically. Thanks again!

Renter beware! We rented here as it was climate controlled and our furniture came out with mold on it. We are devastated! Have asked for a call from property and district manager on 4 separate occasions with no response. Ruined house furniture and obviously a company that does not care. Please be aware of this place and go elsewhere! If I could give them negative stars I would.

Rebecca is so amazing!! I was having a bad day today and came in to pay for my Storage but after talking with her, she instantly put a smile On my face. She handled all my needs and answered all my questions. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience here. We need more employees like herself working for companies like this. It truly makes a world of difference. Thank you Rebecca I see great things in your future!

I went in today around 345pm and the young lady that works there. Told me at the door that she was getting ready to close for lunch. I explained to her that I only wanted to pay my bill and she said I had to come back because she was getting ready to leave. Today is the 4th and I'm trying to pay my storage. This is extremely unprofessional. And needs to be addressed. Customer service here is unprofessional.

So, it appears they removed my previous review. Probably due to saying a word that might not be acceptable (the alternate word for urine). This placed smelled like that word inside and out. There was also trash in my unit, a large gap all along the back wall of the unit with brown and green coming out of it, and the door rolled up and had so much slack in it I need to crouch down to get under and into the unit. The outside had trash everywhere and a gallon jug with the bottom full of urine or tea (the smell coming from it was so bad it could have been either sitting there for a long time). If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I have been with 5 storage facilities over the last 10 years and once before was a Public storage. I would never, ever, ever suggest somewhere like this for anyone. I have a unit with Extra Space up the road and they had a fire recently, but they handled it with grace and cleaned up quickly. The Extra Space storage is still spotless even with a bunch of units burning down. TL;DR - This place smelled awful, mold and grime were rampant, and the door was broken. (I will add pictures soon).

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. This is the worst storage facility I have ever rented with. I’ve had nothing but issues these past few months. And I see that whoever the “owner” is knows how to promptly respond to the reviews but can’t seem to send an email when the elevators are broken. I tried to access my unit this past weekend and wasted my time because not only were the elevators broken, the office was left open and no one was there to assist me. Lights off. I waited for 30 mins and nobody came. I called customer service service and let them know what was going on and she was kind enough to put a ticket in for the elevators. But I still couldn’t access my unit. My unit is on the top floor and the steps don’t have lights. I’m not walking back and forth when I have to use my phone flashlight to see and I needed to move some furniture. That’s ridiculous and an inconvenience. I’ve had plenty of other complaints which were reported to customer service and corporate. I would not recommend this location to anyone.

I was there to help someone, & they have inside storage only. While the unit was nice, there's a lot more work than I want to put into temporary storage than necessary. With inside storage you have to take your things out of your vehicle, put them on a cart, push them to your unit, on floor level, or a higher level, unpack your cart, then push the cart back to car or truck to get more!👁️👁️ If I'm going to do all of that, I'd rather wait 'til my final destination, in a residence. Makes more sense to be able to pull up to a storage door & move things in or out. It's a whole lot easier & simpler for those having to move.

Came to this location after being very frustrated with customer service and other location off Wilkinson not having people in them! The 5 stars are for the staff at this property who assisted me after I waited 30+ minutes on hold with customer service. They saved my business with the company as extra space was about to receive! Thank you for your help!

Great help from the staff at this location. Good pricing and easy sign-up. The drive up gate code access system made it easy to enter and exit the building. When it was time for me to close the account, I didn’t run into any issues. Again, the staff was great!

Reserved and paid for a unit ahead of time so it would be ready on my move in date. Upon arriving at this location with a vehicle full of items and a uhaul truck on the way, I was unable to access my 3rd floor unit. The main doors were jammed, access code boxes were inoperative, and elevators broken. The associate was very kind and attempted to resolve the issue, but was unfortunately not able to solve the access problems or provide another option to me. I was directed to corporate Public Storage who after numerous attempts has refused to refund me the “move in admin fee”, but they’ll waive it the next time I rent a unit from Public Storage….ha ha funny because that will never happen again! Moving is stressful enough and Public Storage made it even worse.

It's either the elevators being finicky or now the Automatic Doors not working. I just wasted time and gas only to not be able to access my storage. Time is valuable and I can't believe every time I come here I'm a wasting it on some access issue.

This Public Storage has come a very looooooong way. I was just in there discussing the move out process with a wonderful young lady who gave me clear direction and information on the move out process as well as being personable and kind and a very wonderful person. My previous interaction with other staff was not favorable however, that has been a complete turn around because of her assistance and great attitude.

This place is not secure at all. At the end of July 2020 the 2nd floor was broken into and thousands of dollars worth of people's personal property were stolen right out of the units.(Locks not even cut). Not only is public storage doing the bare minimal to help anybody out, but there just doesn't seem to be any responsibility being taken for it at all. They are going to replace locks, please the ones we have were not even cut!?! The fact that the place is now only part-time staff leads it to be easy target as well. Do yourself a favor and find a faculty where the camera's, lights, elevators all work and is fully staffed at least 6 days a week. Because this building is past its prime for safely storing your property.

Just visited this site where DM Brenda was working and she was such a pleasure to meet! Very helpful and definitely went above the call of duty to help me out! Keep providing great service to your customers and I will continue to recommend this place!
