PLEASE BEWARE THESE UNITS HAVE ROACHES! I’ve a unit inside and only been renting for a week. I went to my unit to drop things off and as soon as I opened my gate I saw 2 big roach running across my boxes and couch. This just happened today. I’m so upset all I can do was cry. I work so hard for me and my daughters things and now our personal belongings are going to be infested with roaches. I alerted the desk immediately and all the could say they can move me!!! Move me with roaches! I called a family member to get their advice because I was so upset. When I went back to the front office the doors were locked. No one came back to check on me and the situation they just left I’m guess for lunch. No follow up call or returned messages. I’m so sick and upset that this is happening. All of our personal belongings sit in this unit. Please please check all of my reviews I don’t post any negative reviews unless I’ve personally experienced it and I’m very honest and open. This isn’t right at all.

Claudette made The transaction very smooth she was very helpful. Very kind. Customer service like that is not anywhere found anymore. I do feel that for all she does by herself. She does a lot and is overworked, It was only herself there, which I think is a huge mistake, but now companies are running Minimal staff. Which is a shame, she did not complain. She did not mention it. She was doing the best she could, but you can tell when companies overwork their staff.
I hope that management reaches out to me so I can have a word with them.
Aside from that, the location is good.

Today I got a collections letter from Alliance one for a month that I did not use. I rented a 10x20 with them for over 1 1/2 year. Direct withdrawal from business account. Checked out on October 1st and they billed me for the whole month, because I should have checked out before the 1st. That is a scam because I did nit sign any contract that stipulated this condition. Just heads up to all of you. To bill me $506.76 for something that i did not use is absurd. Enough said.

Not sure what’s going on but for the last week the elevators are not working and I need to get things out of my storage unit that’s on a 4th floor. I’m worried that this place might be closing down and I might lose my belongings since I have heavy equipment stored that’s hard to go down the stairs. Any update on when this will be fixed from management will be greatly appreciated!
Only one dolly available for the entire unit. The week of July 22 2024 the property has had no power. Gate open all the time, no climate control. Unresponsive management

Gina, the property manager at this location is excellent at her job. She really does make the difference at 8300 N. University drive in Tamarac. I’ve had this storage unit for over 8 years. She is the best property manager I have ever encountered in my 8 years of renting the space. She even called to follow up with me after a problem I encountered, in her absence. She expressed the same caring, genuine, and warm disposition.

Update: Gina is great, the best employee they have at this location, but that other person who works there? On the day I went to return my unit she didn’t show up for work until 1-2pm. Then when she did she had an attitude like ma’am I didn’t piss in your cheerios? Anyway, finally got my things out but she also didn’t mark me as vacated which would have led to charges on my card. Luckily, I had a feeling this would happen and turned off autopay. The units and space are great and since it’s not customer service based thats not their selling point but works for what it’s needed for.

Do not use them! Gina told me one price and then 2 weeks later when I went to sign the lease they raised the rate and she said there’s nothing they can do about it. Also many times when you go during office hours, the office is locked and no one is there. They don’t return phone messages and they don’t care about their customers.
The place is big and its good but the bad thing is that after about 3 months of renting they will raise the price and the employees are rude, they will lock the women's bathroom for their own personal use and claim its the staff bathroom even though the sign clearly says WOMEN'S bathroom. It is not fair to pay such a high price and not have access to the women's bathroom.

I was actually on the fence about whether or not to get the storage unit but she created such a lovely experience that I decided to go for it. She also explained to me how the app works. I would do it all again just for her.
I had to make this known. I have been a Public storage customer for many many years and am never late in payments. I was ill and it was a holiday so I needed 3 days extra. Much to my shock I was charged alot for a late fee. I tried to have it waived to no avail. I came in and paid to Gina who I told the situation and she said she wanted to try to help. She did!! She saved me $150 and was amazing and kind. If everyone was like Gina Public Storage would be a better run place.
