I reserved a unit online and got a quick call the next morning from Jasmine. She was really exceptional on the phone and when I came for a walk-through. I'm a little nervous about the homeless encampment outside but decided to rent here anyway. I'll try to update after a year or so, see how things go. Update: I’m down rating to 3 stars as I sit here and wait for the place to open. After six months they increased my rent by over 1/3. It’s been a pain scheduling my travels around the limited access hours. The homeless camp mostly hasn’t been a problem thankfully.

Do not use public storage they CAN and WILL raise the rate of your rent at ANYTIME . horrible for anyone that is on a strict budget they have raised my rent 100 dollars. I've only been in the unit for 5 months... And after they have you in a lease the staff becomes DRAMATICALLY less helpful lol

They raise the prices without giving enough notice and the LaCienega location is surrounded by homeless encampments, like SERIOUSLY!!! Black widows in my unit and I haven't been there that long. I can say the staff is extremely nice, very professional. Jasmine is a gem!! Sometimes Public Storage will try to work with you on certain things.

We had an emergency this past weekend and Alexandra Mesa was God's sent help for me. She went above and beyond to make sure l had the right storage for my needs. Just started renting here. There were swarms of flies in the loading areas on the first floor, and a weird smell like catfood on the third floor. Didn't feel great leaving my stuff here but I'm hoping the other reviews are real and I just came on an off day. The storage unit itself was dusty and a little dirty but in otherwise fine condition.

Needed to rent a couple units for a family member. The team here was helpful and efficient. Both the woman we purple highlights and the black woman w braids. Units were exactly what we needed. Can’t comment on upkeep bc we just moved in. Units were clean when we moved in. They have restrooms that customers can use. Rates are…not controlled by customer service so it is irrelevant to comment. It’s 2023 in non recession - recession capitalist America. If you come here expecting yesterdays rate it doesn’t exist. If your objective is to find safe storage, you found it. Ppl have whole businesses stored here. Your grandpappy’s baseball cards will be fine, bro. Welcome to LA if you complain about the unhoused please take an Econ workshop bc you’re probably the problem.

The staff is very polite and very helpful. The store Manager Jasmine is very professional and really caters to your storage and makes it her responsibility not to over sell you on space you may not need. I would recommend anyone to this specific facility if you need storage space this is the place to go.👍🏾💯

I would not trust leaving anything valuable at this location. I came to check on my things the weekend of New Year’s Eve and my lock had been cut off. My last two visits I arrived and found the staff had placed new locks on my unit without my permission. Each time my original lock looked like it had been tampered with. The staff at the front desk made me show ID to get into my unit on the second time. I’ve come twice to find my unit not in the condition I left it in. You should be in and out when you’re coming to get your belongings and you shouldn’t constantly be checking in with staff to get to your belongings and being inconvenienced after you’ve already driven out of your way to get to your belongings. All of my payments have been made on time, so I should never even have to deal with contact with staff. I added a picture of how my lock was cut off. I found the lock broken and lying on the inside of my unit and the staff made a note that my unit didn’t have a lock on it. I believe there are thieves working internally at this location. I lost track of time on 2/14/23 talking to my sick father in the hospital and the black female manager with a blue ponytail and gap in her teeth threatened to call the cops on me for trespassing. She interrupted me when I voiced concerns about my lock being cut off without me being notified first and she rolled her eyes when I told her I was talking. She is not professional at all.

It’s my first time renting out a storage unit. I was really happy with the customer service I got from Jasmine. She was Amazing! There was another Lady who was there who was training and I can tell Jasmine was teaching her and showing her all the proper procedures. They both had positive energy and were very welcoming. When Jasmine arrived as our new facility manager, i noticed the positive changes to the location. A vast improvement in housekeeping, security measures electronically and foot patrol. Numerous times i have witnessed our manager clean various areas including the bathroom to an acceptable level. For years i have reported to management any issues with the property. The followup  by Jasmine has always been satisfactory. Jasmine  brings above and beyond service to Public Storage. Her proactive efforts show how fortunate we are to have her run our facility.

This is an incredible property. The help I received from Jasmine and Alexandria was phenomenal. The staff there is very helpful and accommodating. I came in with a variety of concerns and they address them all. Making sure I got the right size space for all my things. They helped me with registration so that I didn’t have to do it by myself online. The best experience thus far.

Its a nice place to rent for reasonable prices. It was better when the gate access was a bit earlier than office time because you might want to start handling business and putting stuff in storage early or might need to remove things early.

Facilities are nice and clean, elevators are big enough to handle large furniture, and the property seems very secure. There's a homeless encampment down on the corner but they don't seem to bother anyone. They have flatbeds that you can borrow that make it easier to wheel your stuff from the parking lot to your unit. The staff is also very helpful. There are no waste bins, so if you need to throw stuff away, you'll need to take your trash somewhere else. That's understandable, I could see where they wouldn't want to handle so much trash. I have two main complaints. First, the weekend hours are a little too short. Most people move on the weekends, so it would be nice if the units were accessible later on weekends. If you are already inside the gates, though, you can stay as long as you need. You just can't go out and come back in after closing. Second, the rent goes up quite a bit each year, it seems like more than the rent for living accommodations. When I first rented my unit back in 2013, I was paying $138 for a 10x10 on the second floor. This year (2022), I got a notice saying my rent was going up 20% to $417, so my rent has tripled in the past 9 years. And this was after my rent went up 28% six months ago. I had to call to find out why my rent was going up twice in six months (before this, they were just raising rents once a year) and they agreed to hold off on the current rent increase for another six months. But still, it's crazy how they don't seem to value their long term renters who are providing them with a steady source of revenue. I think I'll look around for another storage place so I can start off again with lower rent.

Even at two different property's Jasmine and Debra is so amazing they help me with everything I was so happy they get an A+ if I could give them a grade higher it would be A+++

The people who work there are rude and nosy.had My storage unit broken in to, pretty sure it was an inside job. When filing the police report to the sheriff told me that place was notorious for theft. The homeless camp on the east side of the building doesn't help either.

I came in (obnoxiously) very close to closing time to get everything out of my unit and she was super kind and helpful helping me get my stuff to the trash, and helping me with my mattress and box spring because I was by myself. If you’re using this public storage location look for Carolyn and she’ll definitely help you out :)

I knew when I got to the storage 15 minutes before closing that I was cutting it close. when Britney informed me that they'd be closing at 6pm, I told her that I was waiting for someone, and that their ETA was 6:04pm. She told me that I had to at least be outside the gate. I mentioned that I not only had to move my car, but that I also had an electric car that needed to be moved. She was extremely helpful by pushing the electric car to the gate, while I got my car. I appreciate her going above and beyond to help me. I couldn't have done it, and been out by closing without her help.

Honestly I was having a pretty bad day and went in to Public storage for some boxes and who would of knew that the young lady that assisted me (Brittney I think her name was) would change my whole mood. She was so helpful and pleasant and I needed that. If you want great customer service you guys should definitely keep her.

I’ve been renting storage units at Public Storage for many years. Had the need to rent a storage unit at this location. The store manager, Karolyn, is probably one of the most customer service oriented Public Storage manager I’ve ever dealt. Exceedingly friendly, knowledgeable and made the whole rental transaction seemless from start to finish. Public Storage should be proud to have such a manager on staff. I rented an outside unit and the exterior of the property is very well maintained.

Mark was really helpful, very polite and hard worker. If you ever need a place to rent and you’re around the area make sure to ask for mark! 🤙🏽

This facility is very clean, professionally managed and a great price. Located very close to 405 freeway - and the airport - there are indoor and outdoor storage units. I often go there alone - and feel very safe. They have cameras everywhere!!! And today - I was late returning my trailer - and one of the wonderful employees - Mark - stayed a little later for me! A great Public Storage!!!

I honestly recommend this place it’s secure ,staff are super nice and always alert yes homeless live outside but they do not interfiere with the gate or place Kaylon is super sweet made everything understandable for me took me thru step by step um male worker I think his name is mark not sure but he was the sweetest as well he noticed I needed to use the bathroom thru the cameras and let me in everything is safe key proof to open u need the app if you want but I recommend cause easier access especially during COVID .

I found myself in need of a storage unit for work materials after selling a home. It was a guess on the unit size needed. After moving everything into the unit at Century Blvd / La Cienega close to LAX I found it was too small. I visited with Karolyn in the office and she cheerfully helped me find another unit close to my original space so moving my supplies would not be too difficult. She escorted me to the available space to ensure it met my needs and fit my budget. I found her to be professional and she really helped me out of a tough spot. She turned what could have been a very bad experience into one that I felt good about. Great job Karolyn. Many have forgotten about good customer service but not you. Thanks much.

I'm really happy with my past year's hoarding stuff in my unit here. The place is super convenient for location as well as hours, very well kept and it's a professional staff. Also despite the way things look just outside the gate, I've never felt there's any safety or security issues.

Had a really great experience with Mark working the front desk! He helped me set up a unit with safe, socially distant practices, and was extremely patient and helpful when answering all of my questions. I've checked out multiple other Public Storage locations but this one had the cheapest rates, but still felt as safe and protected as the other ones. Would recommend!

Lady at counter has a smart mouth! She told me she didn’t have to rent to me but first after raising her voice at me as she got smart about not wanting to assist with reaching for my card due to my broken knee and broken wrist. I felt extremely disrespected

LOVE THE RENOVATIONS AND LOVE THE STAFF-ESPECIALLY MARK! I have been renting from Public Storage at this location since August of 2016. I saw the new renovations for the first time in September of this year-the place looks amazing! I was even MORE amazed by the customer service rendered to me. My reason for being there in September was to downsize to a smaller unit. Mark went above and beyond to help me while I moved my belongings to my new unit. (Which was very close to my old unit). He even offered to assist me with the trash I needed to dispose of-THANK YOU MARK FOR MAKING ME FEEL SO SPECIAL AND TRULY CARED FOR AS A PERSON!

I had an urgent need for storage and came here. Dorian helped me find the right unit ASAP and made it easy. Mark and Karolyn were amazing as well. They helped me to understand the rental in more detail and Mark helped me take the boxes I purchased to my car. Great staff!

This place is pretty sweet. Karolyn was nice, helpful and patient. She showed me the unit, tried to convince me to get a bigger unit and when I declined she didn't fight me and she was understanding and patient when I asked her to let me read the entire contract befire signing. The facility looks a little worn but what can you expect from a public storage place. They've got high security which provides peace of mind.

Dorian was a huge help to Manny and I. I highly recommend this location. The customer service we received was awesome. I view moving as a hassle but Dorian made the experience quick and easy.

MARK told me to come a day ahead to by past any problems upon my move in well total waste if time the storage unit was rented to someone who items were going on auction I was told come back the next day and things would be ok all lies upon calling I received an email that unit was ready more lies unit was the same as before then Mark lied and told me it was rented out today and he can give me at smaller unit for more money I must say I have been a customer off and on for years and public storage u just lost my business I will not ever come back or tell any one about you j went to storquest for less money d ok not waste your time on the lies!!!!!🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
