Office is always closed. Can't get hold of anyone working here. The phone number posted sends you only do a generic hotline but no property manager answers or calls you back within reasonable time, meaning standing outside a locked office during business hours.

This is to inform you that the gal in the union city store is doing a fantastic job she is very professional and polite the grounds are kept clean all the time her name is Cynthia so I hope that you will see the work she is doing for the company and take care of her as a employee
Dishonest business practice. Rent keeps on increasing for long term tenants while rates for new tenants are lowered to entice you in. No communication of rate hike either. Started paying $282/mth in 3/2020, went to $310 on 8/2020, then $385 on 5/2021, and finally $490 on 2/2022. New unit same size are rented at $363. The manager can’t even explain why this is the practice. I would NOT recommend using Public Storage; we have multiple units with other companies and they do not operate like this.

Cynthia who works in the front desk/office is very professional and help! I have never been dissatisfied to any service(s) provided. This location is the best and most cleanest place I’ve ever rented, and not to mention this location has climate control !! I have been renting storage space from this location for a long time and I refuse to go elsewhere.

I've rented a space here for a couple of months now. My experience since the very first day ( I've gone there at least a half dozen times to put stuff in storage and get moving supplies) has been fantastic ! Cynthia is whom I've interacted with every occasion. Not only is she friendly, cheerful & upbeat, she is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Just down right a pleasant person to work with. I'd like to think if you looked up her job description, it would have her photo above it. A great example of someone who deals the public on a daily basis. The facilities are clean, bright, and very "user" friendly. Overall, this experience will guarantee my continued and future business as well as my recommendation to friends, family and associates. Keep it up !

Great customer service and great storage options. We used a total of 3 different sizes. From the largest for whole house storage, then to a 10x10 as we moved back into the house, finishing up with the 5x10. While we have finally moved the last of our stuff home, we never had any issues with this location and highly recommend it! Thanks to property manager Liz for help with intake and changes. A nice place but would be nice if the elevators worked especially when your on the 3rd floor and can't get to your unit when you need to

This was my first time getting a storage by myself. Cynthia was super friendly and informational. She helped me understand the storage rules and hours, how to get into the storage, what my monthly payments will be, explained what the insurance will cover for my unit, etc.
I purchased storage today at the Hayward location. I was assisted by Nasira and received outstanding customer service. She showed us the various sizes and helped us make the perfect choice to meet our needs. The place was very clean which I liked and seemed very safe and secure. If you need storage in or near Hayward, I would suggest this place and ask for Nasira, if you’re looking for good customer service.

The location is near 880 and access by code. It offered first month $1 with other admin fees. However some of the doors access the storage were hards to open and we thought we got locked out. We had to go to different doors to try until we got an better one. Overall facility is clean not smelly.

I go the City Sports gym a block away from here and after a workout I needed to pick up some boxes, I knew this public storage was just minutes away so I went in. I really like that it is located so close to the freeway, and the young lady that helped me was really nice an attentive (considering picking out box sizes isn't too hard) she showed she cared enough to offer her help. I recommend this location specifically, very helpful staff.

My experience with the public storage off of Whipple was great! I had come in for supplies for my last minute move. I was a little stressed since it was last minute and I didn't have much help. Liz was the girl working and was very helpful and patient. She helped me get everything I needed and even gave me tips on packing so I made it easier on myself. Very friendly staff. The girls provided excellent customer service. They addressed any question i had and was very efficient. I would refer all my friends and family here.

I have a storage unit in this location for tow years now and will continue for the time I'm around east bay the best place to get a storage I have checked many others but like this one coz it's very clean The staff specially Liz property manager is very friendly and professional, I cannot remmeber one time I have gone into the office and was not greeted with a smile and kindness. She take the time to answer any questions I have and will follow up to make sure my needs were met. The property is always clean and accessible They need more then five stars I would say ....
Lizbeth was a great help with storage space information. She is very knowledgeable and has a wonderful personality. When my light was out in my storage she help me with everything. She is a wonderful employee and Public Storage is lucky to have such an great person.
I have been renting 8 storage units at this location for several years to provide both for personal storage needs and for the needs of my businesses. Liz, the site manager, and Jose, the district manager, have always been there for me to accommodate my special needs and often make special efforts on my behalf. I am planning on moving soon so I came in to look at a unit and I was assisted by a worker named Dana. She was nice and very helpful, She was able to answer all my questions and provided with some very important information. She also had a great since of humor, and presented the unit very well.. Because of her I will be choosing this public storage.

I went to this location yesterday just to see some spaces and look at the location because I am Leary about renting a storage because of a horrible experience, but as soon as I walked in Maya changed all that she was so friendly and helpful she restored my faith in storage!

My wife and I had a great experience working with liz. We had never used a storage unit before and were unsure what size we would need. Liz did a great job of showing us all of the options and making sure we made an informed choice. We have now been renting for a few months here and couldn't be happier with our choice, as well as the level of service we receive each time we are there from liz and her staff.

The customer service here is awesome! They are more than willing to go out of their way to help you out and understand that people are people and not machines. I have rented here multiple times just for the customer and personalized service. Lizbeth and Nadine immediately greet you as you walk in and make you feel welcome.
Had a great experience at Public Storage. Lizbeth was very nice and helpful. I initially wanted a big storage but she advised I take the smaller one since I didn't have that much stuff and she was right. My stuff fit in there perfectly. Surprisingly, the prices here are actually lower than the other storage places in the area.
my elderly mother has been renting a unit at this Public Storage and has had a wonderful experience she says that Maya and Liz were exceptional and helped her a lot and they are great.
