I can’t say enough about how amazing the staff and service at the East Palo Alto Public Storage has been!! My son is a student at Stanford and we needed to storage his things for the summer. We live far from the school and they went above and beyond to help him with a smooth move in and out of his storage unit. 5 star service!!!!

Staff was amazing and very helpful to get me the assistance that I needed.
They increased my unit rent by 30% after 1 year of having the unit, which seemed exorbitant to me. In addition, there were other units with the same accessibility and the same size available for $100 less a month than my original rent. I called and complained about this, and they did delay the raise on my rent for 3 months, but that’s it. So I wound up reserving a new unit online and moving all my stuff from one unit to another, for basically no reason other than to save on money. Also, when you call public storage, they cannot offer you rates you see online.
There are limited options for storage in Palo Alto so I’m not planning to move out, but the business practices here are predatory, you have been warned.
The storage units themselves are mostly fine. My original one had a lot of sharp screws sticking in through the sheet metal, which I didn’t like, but my stuff has been safe and dry, hence the 2 stars instead of 1.
Really enjoy the staff that helped me get my storage unite. Really like the price, price is very affordable unlike other storage facilities that cost so much more. Thank you Public Storage!
Today, I went in with low expectations to the east palo alto location to rent a space. Although, they absolutely blew me away. I have been nervous about getting a storage unit but I was glad to be very well taken care of by Toteanna, Karen and Beonkaa. I had made a reservation that did not fit what I wanted to store but they had set me up with the most perfect unit for a good price. I am very thankful I got the pleasure of meeting these three ladies.
It’s always something with the gate and at critical times there is no access. You’re things will be locked up and you can’t access it. It happens at least once a month and it takes days to fix.
Tatiana the property manager tries to uphold the policies and give great customer service, but the functionally the gate is undependable.
Came here last week to help my mom move to a smaller space and totanan was more then helpful getting us in the right space and for a good price thank you for taking care of us

I had a great experience primarily due to the extremely helpful staff (Ms. Toteana et. al.). I've been a customer for around 10 years, and have been disappointed by the increasing degree of dismissive, unhelpful, abscent, and generally rude staff. In contrast, Toteana was so patient, polite, and helpful. The other staff member (I didn't catch her name) also contributed and was quite knowledgeable. I originally intended to get a new unit elsewhere, but I am staying because of these two. I hope management recognizes the value of these two workers (April 13th, around noon).
Very poor experience. Rude staff. Gate is broken for months without being fixed.

An absolute mess of a business. I was able to reserve a space but not pay for it—online or by phone. I showed up twice to appointments to do paperwork and they were no-shows at the office both times. And then they told me they had given my reserved space to someone else. The one person I spoke with at the local office was nice, but their main customer service line was completely useless. One of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had.
Also: the corporate headquarters PR person called me by phone to try and smooth things over and asked me to edit my review. I'm pretty sure they make up bogus 5-star reviews to compensate for all the terrible real reviews they get.

This review is specifically regarding Rochelle who works at Public Storage. As a first time storage unit renter, I would highly recommend Rochelle because she made the renting process simple and painless -- ensuring that I was able to get into my storage unit set up in time for my move. She took the time out of her day while working over time (on a Saturday night!) and helped me with an error on their online system. She was incredibly helpful and I couldn't ask better experience. Had it not been for her, I likely would’ve cancelled and not used Public Storage because I kept getting errors while trying to complete my e-rental online, but because I got on the phone with Rochelle she made the process so much easier, and overall, I just came away feeling really good and with everything all set up.
The ladies in the front desk were very helpful and kind they help me find a storage with a great deal.

If your going to the location all the time to pay like me There also a way to make payments on the public storage.. you can also make partial payments on the app if you doesn't want to pay the full amount the writing is highlighted in blue under the make a one time payment tab
