The location is convenient on Canyon Road and that is all the good I have to say. There are unfortunately rats and vagrants who are accessing the buildings, sleeping/camping in front and inside. I, as a single woman, would feel unsafe going to the facility alone and unarmed. I will be moving my possessions as soon as possible before they are ruined by nesting rodents or accessed/stolen by the homeless that they tolerate occupying the facility.

I cannot say enough about my history with Public storage! The 2 separate mangrs. That I have delt with have bent over backwards to ensure my fiancee & I had a seamless move in process & overall experience, which we absolutely did & continue to have such positive experiences even when life tends to get in the way & tries to make things more difficult for us, these employees, Aimee being one of them( and I believe the other one's name is Seth, I have left a review about my first experience with him)have gone above and beyond even when it could have put her out of her own comfort zone, possibly!She didn't seem to mind as long as I as a customer of hers felt comfy & I was in need of nothing! I want to tell everyone about this location and facility because it was a pleasure doing business here! I moved across country and had to unfortunately find a place to store my things and Ms Amy was not just helpful but very informative, professional and absolutely great! I am so glad I decided to choose the public storage location and it was a little further away from where I'm going to live but she made it so wonderful and nice for me that I'll be happy to make the drive to it! I have used storage places before in another state ,but I really have to say having her help was better then I ever have had anywhere else!!! So if anyone needs to get a storage unit I highly recommend using this location! And ask for Ms.Amy she is great at her job!!! I'm so happy I choice this place..

RAT INFESTATION
The staff at the front desk was great and very friendly. However; that's the only thing remotely good about this place. They more than tripled my rates throughout the last few years, and after spending over $20,000 with them, I went to open my unit to find EVERYTHING was ruined. Rodent feces covered everything, and there were 2 dead rats in one of my boxes! The lady working there offered me gloves and helped remove them, (which was kind of her!) but seriously? Charging over $350 a month for all my stuff to be ruined, and the answer was gloves? I lost priceless family pictures. I'm absolutely devastated and furious. Do not store anything here!

I work close to this location and now plan to store here after noticing how often the young lady with blueish hair cleans. Seems like a good place to store my things!
If you're trying to decide which Puyallup location to use, this is the one. Ms. Sharron is a delight to work with - friendly, down to earth, and kind. A wonderful customer service experience every time I've chatted with her in person or on the phone. Bonus points for ease of sign up and unit reservation through the online platform.
**Post-move out edit** When I rented this unit as a go-between while moving, the intent was always short-term. Due to the incredibly short-term nature of this, I elected not to get the insurance on the unit - my bad.
Pro-tip for future renters - get the insurance, even the most basic one. This facility has an active rodent issue. They are treating the property, but without insurance on your unit, any damage inside the unit is basically your problem.
PS staff handled our situation as gracefully as possible and my edit has nothing to do with the customer service we got here. Just a fair warning for future tenants.
I have to say, Sharron has proved to be one of the most pleasant encounters of the day. Her positive attitude and smile really did the trick today when my girlfriend was having issues with her debit card not approving her payment. We actually called the office before hand to try and fix the issue but we ended up deciding to drive to the office and i am so happy we did. Not only did sharron recognize and remember our names from the phone call, she also remembered the little details of that phone call that she adressed in person without me even asking. We were so stressed going into the office and by the time we left we were laughing and smiling as brightly as Sharron was when we walked in the door. She quickly helped us resolve the payment issue and provided all the necessary information needed to avoid future problems. Thank you Sharron for making us feel welcomed and valued.
We were closing down my mother-in- laws storage unit. We dealt with a really helpful employee named Sharron. She was a delight to deal with and very helpful, taking time to address our concerns and questions. I could tell she was very industrious also. She was always cleaning and sweeping and believe me it was some warm days we were doing that. Thanks Sharron you made a not so fun job almost enjoyable.

WARNING: MAJOR RODENT INFESTATION!!!
So much of my merchandise has been ruined. The rodents eat everything from Yoga mats to toilet bowl cleaner. They poop and puke everywhere. They have cost my business thousands and made a HUGE mess that I will undoubtably be responsible for cleaning up when I move out (which will be ASAP).

On Yesterday I got email notification from PS that I vacated my unit which was not true, me being very concerned with what was going on, I got up early this morning when they opened up and was greeted by sales agent Ms.Angel. After showing her vacated unit email I've received she looked the information up and apparently the agent that worked the prior day had vacated my unit without communication, and
my knowledge. Angel apologized for the miscommunication and she reactivated my unit right away. She also followed up with a courtesy phone call ensuring me that my public storage unit was reinstated and everything has been taken care of. Angel was amazing and did an awesome job helping me. I will be the first to admit I am changing my review. After spending more time having to communicate with the lady that works during the day she is one of the best customer service people I have spoke with in a long time. She showed patience and understanding while I was frustrated trying to figure out if I want a bigger unit. I appreciate her and suggest if you need storage come here.
I cannot go without mentioning the people that work here. I have communicated with 2 people, one leaves a lot to be desired. Although the woman who works during the day during the week is AMAZING!Very friendly, helpful and greets everyone with a smile which in my opinion is always great a great way to start a conversation!! This location has a super friendly, helpful staff and the security measures make me feel very comfortable storing our items here! There are keypad entries for gate access (both coming and going) as well as for access to the interior of the storage buildings. The app makes this super easy to navigate with the “access” button. Staff has always asked me for my ID before disclosing any potentially sensitive information as well.
Every staff member has been very kind and helpful, they have all made this experience much easier!

Melisa helped me today and i gotta say she completely changed my view of public storage. I have had not so great experiences with them in the past and was skeptical on renting their again but am glad i decided to entertain the idea one last time because i couldnt have asked for a better experience. Melissa knows real customer service she went above and beyond not only for me but for the elderly gentleman that she was helping ahead of me today. The elderly man even said he wanted her supervisor number so he could call and tell him how amazing she was but she declined saying seeing him leaving a happy customer was enough recognition for her. Can you believe that!? Truly an example of what real customer service should look like 👍 good job maam and thank you for making this such an easy yet memorable experience
I had a bunch of issues at first. One of the workers had put my phone number on someone else with my name with a different last name. I kept getting calls from a bunch of different locations and the situation was getting more confusing and I was getting frustrated. Until one of the most nicest and sweetest girls called me from this location. She asked if I wanted to just come in and try to figure out with her what was going on. I went in, and she figured it out. She was so nice and kind and literally gorgeous. She understood my frustration and was totally willing to help however she needed to. She got it done and she ended up helping me out a ton. Lindsey from public storage is literally amazing. I have never come in contact with such a nice and helpful young lady. I'm super glad she was working there at the time and only want her to do my rent purchases because now I only trust her. Thank you Lindsey, and thank you public storage for having such sweet and amazing employees!

Do Not Do business here. Unless you enjoy being constantly locked inside the gate. No one answers the phone also on Jan 3rd 2022. I had just picked up my new bankcard used it at Public storage at 2ish pm at 7:47pm I got a fraud alert from my bank that my bankcard was being compromised to online shopping DivaNewLook. The individual that was at storage to take my payment for storage was Beverly who was there that day working til 6pm. My card was being used at 6:02pm. When Toni was there all was great. Today is Sept 23,2022 My storage is now empty... & Checked by staff & Acct closed. Amen I find it very interesting. That So Called owner. Never addresses the reviews that needs addressing....
This is the worst public storage I've ever been to their policies for month-to-month basis on renting is ridiculous they bill out on the 1st of each month and I left on the 2nd and they wouldn't prorate me they're trying to charge me for an entire month's rent when I was out on the second their thieves and they're ripping off the public and if I was anybody I would never go there for their business.
Had trouble getting my code figured out but Pat and Beverly helped me set up the app and get through the gate with one button! They were very friendly and even looked up my account to make sure it was up to date and auto payment was turned on!
Beverly did an outstanding job with the whole process. Definitely a pleasure working with her on getting my storage needs. From our first phone conversation where I changed my move in date to make sure she was the sole one helping me to day of greeted with a smile and beyond great customer service.

Do NOT do business with this company or location. Arrangements and communication are terrible. There is no customer respect. I will never store items with another Public Storage facility again! Worst part is I used them while getting moved and established 4000 miles from the unit and they don’t seem to understand that people are not immediately able to get to their unit. What are storage units for? I was late on 1 payment in a years time and they started threatening with phone calls and letters to auction the unit. I made up the payment and still continued to receive threats of my items being towed. Unprofessional!
