Robert at the Headcecoxe office was very efficient and good to work with this afternoon.

I have been a customer for several months, the staff, especially Linda are exceptional, long hours and hot times do not change her attitude! Always a joy!

It's been ridiculous with these people from the beginning which I'm not getting into but know this... $40 increase within few months without notice supposedly they sent an email. I ask why Linda stated it's in my contract.. lol

Linda is such a great help at assisting with the move in process and explaining how the storage garage is operated properly. My move out date went extremely smooth as well. 10/10 would recommend!

This place is great. Linda was so very helpful in everything we did. She is awesome. She had answers for everything and helped us save quite a bit of money. She is definitely a keeper.

Pricing went up over $100, and I've found same sized units for cheaper in the same facility. Despite moving out by the end of February they're still trying to charge us another months rent. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Stay away. These people are thieves. They force you to purchase a lock. If you move in when they are not here and try to return the lock later (within the 30-day window), Linda from the office will tell you they can't. Their pricing is a bait-and-switch. The first month rent is $1 instead of $30, but you pay a $29 admin fee. If you move in mid month and move out 2 weeks later, they'll attempt to charge you for the next month. You can't access your stuff when you want. Past a certain time, you can't, so if your schedule or circumstances lead you to need something between 9pm and 6am, you're stuck. Let's say the star is for cleanliness.

Prices are continually raised ever 3-4 months it’s getting ridiculous

Robin makes the storage process go so smooth and headache free. She is super friendly and keeps the property nicely kept. I would highly recommend doing business here.

DO NOT USE THIS PLACE FOR LONG TERM STORAGE!! Pro: Super easy process to rent a space and friendly staff. Con: When your 1 year rental cost is up, get ready for a 50-60% increase in your rental price. Update: in the last 3 years, my rental amount has doubled. I don't see any improvements to the building. The last time i was in my unit EVERYTHING was covered in spider webs. I have never been late for a single payment and am set up on auto draft. I will be pulling my belongings out of the unit soon and I will never again use public storage for anything. I can't stand greedy, companies.

Been using this Public Storage for over a year since we have moved back to Texas. The staff have always been more than helpful and very friendly!! In particular at this location, Ebony went above and beyond for my Boyfriend and I as we are planning/getting ready to move into a house from our apartment and gave us some nice moving and packing tips and had such a positive and friendly attitude that I feel not very many people have now a days!!!!! She was amazing!!

We arrived at 3pm. Noticed that the office has put a sign saying the manager would be back at 3:25pm. Waited until 3:27pm and noticed that the paper clock has changed to 3:45pm!! The door was locked and we didn’t pay attention if someone’s inside the office. This is not supposed to be the way we are treated. The time should be what it’s said to be. Otherwise would it be an endless wait?

First and foremost, the staff have always been very kind and helpful. However, the facility is poorly maintained. I have multiple units on the second floor and more than half of the lights are out, and they have been out for months. I shouldn't have to bring flashlights to remove and add stuff to my unit.

When I reserved a unit online, they put the incorrect date on there. Jordan was able to fix that and get me in today. She was also very helpful in explaining everything and answered all of my questions. The place seems nice and secure with friendly staff. I definitely recommend public storage.

I've been hesitant to do much outside of my house because of COVID. But due to some unforeseen circumstances, I needed to rent a storage unit. My experience with Public Storage on Hedgecoxe in Plano has been great. Jordan, the employee I rented my unit from, is wonderful. She answered all my questions and helped me find a unit that fit my needs when the size I originally reserved was unavailable. The facility was super clean, and I was able to complete most of my rental online (just needed to go into the store for 5 minutes)! I highly recommend Public Storage!

Nice storage place but they have restrooms closed so after driving all the way over there and putting items in storage, no restroom to use (which i had used in past when needed). Surprise! Only reason for low star rating.

I was a long time customer for the past 3 years, and the monthly rent there just increased tremendously every few months.  I called and tried to negotiate several times, but not one single time worked.  It always got denied.  I felt pretty ripped off.  Finally I decided to moved out, and they won't even refund the last few days of rent back to me.

First impressions matter and this place and the manager Jordan did a great job. I felt the hospitality, security and cleanliness were on par. As for the longevity we'll see. I plan on keeping my things in storage for 2 years as I signed a contract for work. Hopefully I'll only see the $1-$3 annual increase, we talked about, as opposed to a $10 increase that reviewers are giving. Anyhoo, manager Jordan, we laughed, we cried, it was a whole thing. No for real she helped expedite the paperwork without making it feel rushed. She was friendly and professional and I couldn't ask for more in this scenario. Thanks a bunch.

Not a fan of Public Storage's practices. They don't make things as transparent with late fees and admin fees as much as other storage companies I've dealt with. Keep in mind that they will advertise $1 move- ins, but the purpose of this is defeated when they charge $25 "admin fees" on the day of your move ins.

This place is comparatively new, and so it's super clean and tidy. The storage locations are well maintained and air conditioned. I have had stuff which I had placed in the storage for months and not a speck of dust or smell, so obviously they are taking good care of the place. Plus they occasionally have deals for new customers. The front office folks are friendly as well. Definitely recommended 👍 for anyone looking for extra storage.

The district manager, Callie, was incredibly rude to me. I called from my phone, she didn’t answer. The woman working at the facility called from her phone; Callie answered and literally told me, “What are you doing calling from this phone you shouldn’t be using this phone.” Like I had just took it upon myself or something to call from the facility’s phone. Moreover Callie was incredible rude overall and did not provide any help with my issue whatsoever. I will be closing out my storage and going somewhere with better service. Pretty unbelievable. I had a unit for pretty much two years, and there really wasn't much of an issue. Like most storage places, the reduced rate first month isn't. There's usually some sort of admin fee, and this place is no exception. The lock pretty much has no use after you cancel your unit because of the type it is. Rent went up $10 a month twice in the two years. It is what it is. THEY DO NOT PRORATE LAST MONTH'S RENT. I asked. The carts while extremely helpful, are locked when the staff is not in the office. This wouldn't be an issue but I showed up 15 minutes before closing one night and they were already locked up. Having to enter a code to open the gate, then the door, and then in the elevator is a bit much. I like extra security, but there's such thing as overkill.

Beware: Deceptive Business Practices The reason for the one star rating is this Public Storage's deceptive business practices. However, after I detail it all for you, you can easily avoid their tricks. 1) The $1 first month rent: This trick was one I was willing to play along with. I was happy to pay the $25 admin fee for the first month. And to make it clear, there's no way around this one. 2) Insurance: This trick is the one that earned them a 1 star rating. I told Rhonda up front that I had renters' insurance. She replied that my insurance could cover the storage and that I should give them a call. However, to get into the storage that day, I needed to have insurance. In a time crunch, I agreed to get their egregiously overpriced insurance because Rhonda said the insurance could be canceled at any time. CATCH: Once you pay it, they're not giving it back to you. Cancel means to cancel future coverage, not to cancel the current one. Silly me. Shame on them. I even called Gabriel, the district manager, and he told me he would refund me my $10 insurance due to the misunderstanding. I warned him I would give a poor rating if he failed to follow through. Yup, you guessed it. Never got the $10 back, and yes, my renters' insurance covers what I put in the storage. Bottom line: call your insurance before booking the unit. 3) Cylinder Lock: This trick was one I should have seen coming, but in a time crunch, yup, I shelled out $20 for a $5 lock. Bring your own. I doubt they could deny you service if you brought a regular lock. I saw regular locks on other storage units while I was there. The rolling carts were a nice amenity and the staff was very pleasant (Rhonda included) every time I interacted with them. The indoor storage units were well kept and the bathrooms were clean. I saw a few roaches and critters skittering about, but that's going to be the case wherever you store your stuff. On your last day, make sure you park your car outside of the gate before closing out your unit (the gate code is void the second your unit is cancelled). I really didn't have much to dislike about the facility itself or the people, but I just hate it when businesses aren't honest and transparent. Would I recommend Public Storage? I would recommend the facility, but I gave it a 1 star rating for a good reason, and if you're not careful, you may fall prey to any new tricks they devise for us innocent consumers. Consider yourself warned.

Great property, clean, well lit, safe, but more importantly the service from the staff is the best, Rhonda is there to assist you with any questions or needs.

I feel very confident that my stuff is safe here with all the features they have. Not too thrilled about the $20 lock that was required, but such as life. Katherine is so friendly and the place is kept very clean.

Great storage unit - I have a 10x10 unit for storage of all the stuff that doesn't fit in our home. The unit is super-clean and easy to access. Kyla and the front desk team are always available and attentive. Only negative is that they lock the carts on Sunday Afternoons, so plan accordingly!

The Public Storage Store on Hedgcoxe in Plano is the best. Christian helped us with the process and it was very easy and seamless. Storage unit and office is extremely clean and organized. Both reps were very friendly and have fantastic customer service skills. Highly recommend

Awful service I will not do business with public storage again from Kyla all the way to the Renee the district manager messed up my acct and then don't want to take ownership but tell me the girl that set up my acct been doing this for years and what that got to do with wrong info on my acct. My first month wasn't free like told. I'm done not to include when I went to my storage two times over the weekend a few weeks back it was a huge died rat right in front of someone storage for at least two days. Nope won't stay here at all...also the gate closed at 9pm no 24 hrs access to my stuff smh

Gate closes at 9 pm. No 24 hour access. What the heck is that about? The office closes at 6 pm, so they accept some periods without overwatch, but if you need something from your storage after hours ... you are absolutely screwed.

I rented a 10 × 10 with Kyla and she was awesome. Easy on the eyes to.

I found a great rate on-line and I noticed that prices vary a lot by location within the city. This location is new, nice and less expensive! I reserved a unit for that day on-line, and I received a phone call within 2 minutes verifying my intentions and asking when I would be there. I arrived within the hour, and it could not have been easier to sign up, get access and unload. Rhonda was great!

Staff helpful, friendly and supportive. Clean environment and rates are competitive. Use of carts after hours would be a bonus but we understand.

Rhonda is the best!! We moved in the first week they opened almost a year ago and visited our (4) units every day if not every other day. We had absolutely no problems at all. Rhonda and her staff are always friendly and helpful. The property is clean and well taken care of. You'll always see them making their rounds to ensure everything is up to par. Great experience! We had reserved a unit in advance and were very pleasantly greeted by Rhonda, whom we had spoken to on the phone. Great introduction as to how to gain access. She showed us the unit and we were very surprised how clean everything was. The rental process only took a couple of minutes. The even have restrooms there and are as clean they come. They do a great job of maintaining the place. Conveniently located, very clean place and friendly people. You can't go wrong here!

They have better pricing than UHAUL, but require cylinder locks, which are hard to find. Of course, they will sell you one.

A bit pricey - but very clean and secure. Only real dislike is that a different code has to be remembered for every door or elevator - instead of simply having one customer code to remember.

I hope you don't ever have to actually get into your storage. They don't regulate the elevators or the carts, you have no way to get in sometimes. Your may have to sit there and wait an hour to allow other people who are blocking the way.
