We had an advanced signing, and no one was there to let us in. Then they changed the unit on us because the entry gate door was broken. They moved this into another area and gave us a deal because of all the headaches. Huh, We finally got our rental unit in the very back, in the very corner, the very opposite side of the entry door. A very long walk from front door space. Avery long walk .... Boo.

I really like how secure the building is and I do mean SECURE. Not only do you need a code for the gate, you need one for the door and elevator.

Right after I reserved a storage unit online, Sherri gave me a courtesy call to inform me that they are often out on the property assisting others and showing units so then asked me the time I thought I’d stop by to make sure someone would be available and ready to assist me on my arrival. I hadn’t thought of a specific time but I gave her a time and sure enough I was assisted promptly by Katy upon my arrival. I hadn’t had someone as thoughtful before when renting a storage or even renting a moving truck! And found it very professional and useful to call me before to make arrangements. Sherri and Katy were SUPER accommodating, professional, friendly and kind. They are truly a great duo who both assisted me while there and I appreciate their time and assistance. Just my few cents ☺️

When I first got my storage unit it was $24, this was apparently an introductory price. Public storage never made me aware of that, and they soon doubled it to $48. Now they are attempting to raise it to $60 which is above average for the area

My grandmother was trying to find a storage place to store her belongings and came across this places she found online. The associate on the phone that helped her, did not notify us that the storage was on the third floor. My grandmother has a back issue that does not allow her to do this much walking. When this was discovered, we went to the office the next morning. We arrived at opening time, 9:30am, and the front personnel did not arrive until 9:45 am. Once entering, we asked the front desk to see if it would be possible to get a different storage on the first floor after explaing her condition. At first the front desk was helpful and understanding. We had a storage picked and started discussing the charges. She immediately stated that we would not get the $1 promotional anymore due to us having to transfer. She then stated that "we won't give you your money back" and would need to pay the full locker amount with none of the previous payment refunded or put to the new amount. After this, she stated there was nothing she could do for us, and placed the Customer service information sign on the desk and walked away. Upon calling customer service, she stated to the personnel on the phone that "..I didn't even get that far..". She then made it a purpose to ask the other women who had to help us, "you could not do the $1 charge, right?" After, the whole dispute. We felt she was bluntly rude, disrespectful, and not customer forward. She then went on to state that if we had gotten the transaction done earlier, we could of had the trolleys to help us unload. She also kept saying that because today was auction day, it was already stressful enough. I do not see how this corresponded with any of our transaction conversation. This is our first time using this service and more than likely our last.
I was picking up an auction unit online Susie and Jennifer were very helpful and made the process very easy everything was ready we met at the unit and cleaned it out the same day. There was a irate customer in front of us giving them a hard time over something that’s beyond their control what I can see they were following company guidelines and they were upset standing there arms folded and saying profanity because they couldn’t get a special of some sort . I was very happy with the service I had today very nice and professional staff thank you ladies !

My storage unit got broken into this week and no one seems to cares about it there. I’m trying to get my stuff back and have been trying to get answers and no one can tell me anything. Only rented here for 2 months and this is what happens. It’s ridiculous. If I could give it no stars I would. Don’t rent here because obviously there’s no type of assurance that your stuff will be safe.

Worst place to rent storage unit the manager Cici and district manager Andrea unavailable on a Saturday to assist with new storage unit and services I was told I had to visit the facility to do the rental of the 1st month for a $1 its a joke i couldn't access gate to enter properly to unload my uhaul and was hung up and put on hold when called customer service support they let me into gate then wanted me to wait til 9:30 for property manager to get to work to resolve gate entrance paid $70.29 on Friday couldn't move in storage had no access into gate was charged another day for the uhaul since I couldn't unload truck then finally got out of gate rented a storage at another facility unloaded truck finally after 4 hours went back to get refunded and they didn't want to do the refund and supposedly im to get storage for only lock today for $21 for lock and is not credited to account when called back now its going to take 7 to 10 days for refund and not even sure what is going to be refunded!!! Unacceptable!!!!! The manager stated they just got new building and they were supposed to fix entrance gates !! Why rent the storage if you can't enter took my money and knew the gate was broken!!! Please don't go there they are a ripe off!!! Im out $70.29 on top of having to get charged additional day for uhaul and a new storage!!! I got ripped off by public storage!!! The office manager or district manager unable to provide me get my refund!!!BEWARE they just take your money for rent, lock, admit fee and do not care 🤷 about your money that your out!! From additional uhaul and to get a storage your able to access!!

Ashley was very helpful. Day of my move in, I was scheduled for 8am. The manager was about 20 minutes late. Once she got there, she had to do her opening procedures which took up more time. In addition to her being tardy, it was an issue because I had scheduled movers there waiting. Whom of which is paid by the hour so I lost 30 minutes. A few issues I had with this storage was for 1, they told me I needed to buy a lock from them which was $20. Not to mention, they told me this because they saw I had my own lock (a standard lock and key). The lock I had to buy from them was a cylinder lock that could only be used at their facility. Once I got inside the unit, I saw a few storage units that only had a standard lock. Next thing is all of the key codes. It's 6 digits plus 2 additional keys. At first you would think "This is great, extra security ". Try moving in and having to keep entering in the key code to get into the gate first with your vehicle, then each time you enter the building and each time you use the elevator. They do not "unlock" the door nor elevator for a move in. This was extremely frustrating when you are working with 3 additional movers. And lastly, due to covid, the restrooms where closed so you have to walk to the gas station next door. Nice staff and really good rates but too much of a hassle for my preference.

Got a call today from the employee working on this day accusing of seeing me on camera throwing away a bed in one of the facilities dumpsters when I know for a fact it wasn’t me. She was being very disrespectful towards me over the phone and told me if I didn’t remove the bed by 5pm I would get a $250 fine. I came down to the facility on my Saturday afternoon to resolve the issue because I didn’t want to be charged $250. I confronted the employee and she tried to pull up the camera she said she saw me on but of course the system froze. I’ve been on military orders since March 2020 and only have the weekends to spend with my wife and son so I don’t appreciate my time being wasted and threatened to be charged for something I clearly did not do. Fix the issue Public Storage so something like this doesn’t happen again.
Came in, at the wrong location, Ashley not only told where the correct one was but politely referred the services here. She helped me through the process, check on me while she was helping another customer. Leveled with me and was really kind all around. It was an unexpected moment but I'm glad I choose it. To many people use this storage. There is not enough entrances for a comfortable move in and out (only one). Its unpleasant that this location does not have 24/hr access. Its dirty, the keypads are filthy and the elevators are filthy also. I like that there is a restroom available but that's the only plus

Brittany was amazing! She got me in and out in 10 minutes! I’m ready to start bringing in my goods and store them properly!
They were very friendly and accommodating when I first came to rent a unit. After that, they became hard to contact and do not return your calls, not even when promised. They increased the rent of our storage unit with 25%. I protested that 6 weeks ago, called multiple times to follow up and the matter is still not resolved. Do yourself a favor and storage your possessions elsewhere.

LOL to all the “great” reviews on here regarding Ashley and her so called customer service skills. Quite possibly the rudest person I’ve ever met. Carlos on the other hand, was okay. Have had nothing but problems with this location since first renting a unit. From false advertisement, withholding information, etc., it’s been the biggest hassle. I just can’t seem to understand or even believe all these 5 star reviews left on here recently. I can’t stop someone from doing business where they choose but I can tell the truth about my experience at this location.
Carlos is a great enthusiastic employee. Ashley is disrespectful, beligerant and should not be in customer service. She, an African American female called me, a white male "priviledged", the story is below. I reserved a unit 6/2/19 online for a later date of 6/30, went to look at it on 6/4 and bought 35 boxes to receive the discounted rate. I moved in, found a live house roach on a desk chair in my unit and reported it. The neighbors drilled the lock out of their unit, I reported it. Then I looked at my bill and saw Ashley charged me $23 more per month than I was quoted on the online reservation. I had to call the corporate boss to get this corrected Ashley fought with me that I signed the paperwork in store and it's my fault for not reading. Then on 7/5 I returned 16L 13M, 4XL boxes. She stated she couldnt find my receipt in the system and I cant return them after 30 days. (Something that was never told to me upon purchase) Again these are unused boxes. I then had to contact her corportate boss and leave a message, and then call customer service who said she should be able to look up the receipt by credit card transaction for the return. So we went that route. Needless to say in the mix of conversation she and my gf started yelling back and forth at each other, and she called us priviledged because we thought the boxes should be able to be returned. She did not offer to look it up or to contact someone who could help, she just said it couldnt be done. Thankfully, her boss called and is doing the transaction and mailing a check for the difference. After 30 days they cannot issue an immediate refund evidently, but can do it on paper. Update 7/23/19 They still have not fixed my monthly billed amount to match the reservation rate, and I found 3 dead house roaches in my unit. I have never had roaches in my home so they did not come from my belongings. Staff said I am welcome to spray or bait my unit but thats all that can be done. They dont spray the property or other peoples units for bugs. I put roach baits all around the unit and made sure to seal boxes extra well. Update 8/7/19 Carlos called to tell me the District mananger denied the reservation rate because it was "uncompetitive" (quoting what he was told the reason is) and I would be paying 152% of the reservation rate now. I contacted the facility supervisor and she informed me that was not the case, and it was still undergoing approval. Carlos stated she didnt know what she was saying because the information came from her boss. She stated her boss would have told her. Somewhere communication failed and I've been waiting 2 months for a correction. Still waiting on the $87 check for the returned boxes, (requested on 7/5). On the plus side, I have been to the unit to take some classroom supplies out and have not found any new roaches in the last 2 trips.
Absolutely satisfied with the services here and the facility. CARLOS has amazing customer service, was patient with us and answered all the questions we had. I definitely will return in the future.

Went here to get a unit after I was upset from trying to get a unit at Life Storage. Brittany and was so awesome....she was friendly, nice, very helpful, and had answers to all of my questions. When I entered the office everyone was nice and greeted me. I did not feel unwanted like I did at Life Stoarage. Also the prices here are way better. I know now where to go anytime when in need.

In terms of service : very polite, very proper with her way of expressing her take on customer service. My reaction from doing business with her representing the “Public Storage” brand name: surprised and thankful while also being refreshed to have my experience go so pleasantly with her handling the entire situation with an upbeat ease that swept me up in her cheerful attitude as well! Facts: It’s impossible to be anything but pleased with this young woman doing her absolute best to see to it your needs are met, and I can see her uplifting even the glummest demeanor while providing the vital information a customer wants to know, when they want to know it. Not only that, this young woman provided me with information that I certainly needed but had neglected to ask. With the few days, yes DAYS I have just worked straight- thankfully she was the representative I got & definitely the person I needed handling my business and I can say with zeal that this young woman is who you want to seek out to handle your business too- you *will have a better overall day after meeting her. Guaranteed. Check her out, go and see her yourself- the proof lives and breathes ladies and gentlemen.

To be perfectly honest, Carlos had all the answers and was extremely helpful. He is the relief manager at this property and saved the day with his knowledge, courtesy and professionalism. He solely navigated 3 different customers seamlessly. The property is tidy, comfortable, convenient and well priced. im needing a 5 x 10 storage building
Do not rent from Public Storage. I moved my stuff out after it was flooded from Hurricane Harvey. Even though I had already signed the release for Public Storage to dispose of the storage unit’s contents, I still had to show up to the Court Annex this morning because they filed a lawsuit to evict my possessions even though I had already signed the release. Showing up to court to get the lawsuit dismissed wasted 4 hours out of my day. This was the worst storage rental experience in my entire life! I had another storage unit flood at a different storage company, and I was not sued after signing the release. Public Storage is disorganized and will sue you for no reason.
Lost all of my belongings and now total renovation. Not enough staff on hand.
I came into the office with my cousin and got merchandise and wasn't too sure what I needed but Brittany ensured me on exactly how I could pack it and the right items to use! She was great.

Customer Service: Excellent customer service! James was extremely helpful and patient, showing me all of his available units. James gave me plenty of time to inspect each unit before making my decision. Water Leakage Warning: Be careful though to visit this property ONLY AFTER a heavy rain and LOOK CAREFULLY for evidence of water leakage from the roof. I found evidence of water leaking in building F. However, they are renovating and the front buildings closer to the office. Which look good, new sheet rock. Lock Caution: But they do take cylinder locks $20 extra. (Not your typical lock.) So go buy one at Home Depot AFTER you check the unit you want to see what type of lock is required. Building I, right behind the office takes only cylindrical locks. I rented in Building G, which takes both cylindrical and traditional locks on some units. The roof in building I looks the best. I'll keep y'all posted on how Building G does with the water. DO NOT rent in Building F until after they have renovated it! It leaks water bad. I'm in the construction industry and I saw actual water on a sunny day going into the second unit I looked at. In F building I viewed 3 other units and all showed water stains from the heavy rain we just had. Safety: As far as safety goes, this property and area of town is very safe. I grew up here and we didn't lock our front door until I was in college. I feel safe here. Then again, I carry a pistol. Lol. I just moved back to the area from the Heights. So, compared to the city, this place is very safe. Competitors close by: There is a property down the road that is much newer and nicer, but runs about $20 - $40 more per month on rent, and does not match the $1 move in special. And they only price match rent for 3 months. So, you get what you pay for. But as far as price goes, you can not beat Public Storage rental rates and move in specials. My Usage: I rented a non climate controlled unit to store old furniture I'm selling online. I don't want Craig's List people coming to my home to buy it. I will store clothing here, but only in water proof storage boxes from The Container Store. I would not store electronics or mattresses here. The deductible for covering a loss would be more than what my tv or spare bed are worth. High $ Item Storage: For storing easily damaged high dollar items, its wise to pay a bit more to store at a property that was built in more recent years. I'm 40 now and this property was old when I was in high school. Lol. I'm hoping the renovations will bring this place up to the level of thief competition because the people who work here are super nice abs helpful. Thank You! To James for the fantastic customer service! I give James 5 stars, but the shape of the buildings gets 1 star. That averages out to my 3 star rating.

I must say that I thought great customer service was non existent now and days. But, Akira proved me wrong. She helped me every step of the way on finding the right storage for me and my belongings. This place has rats!!!!!! I understand thats a risk you take when placing your things in public storage, but damn. I talked to one of the employees about this. She blamed her predecessor for not doing her job and did not offer to rectify the situation & just shrugged it off. There are no traps on the property and I had to take matters into my own hands and place repellant in my unit, and eventually moved my belongings out. I would not recommend this facility to my worst enemy...actually, I would recommend it to my enemies only.

This location is awesome. My company rents a storage unit for parts to be delivered and stored for me. The delivery service we use has stated that this is the best and easiest storage location they deal with by far. The staff here is top notch. Always friendly. I am so impressed with them that I have convinced my son to move his storage from a competing business in La Porte, TX. For what he was paying for a smaller unit there he obtained a larger one here. Location is perfect as it is only three miles from our house. If you are looking for a professional, very clean and friendly storage facility, you won't regret renting here.
