Super clean love all the security I dislike that it closes early 6pm. After that your code on elevator doesn't work gates to go outside don't work like scary your locked in

I rented a storage unit at clay rd not knowing they close at 6pm. I would not have gotten one if I knew you cant get into your storage after 6pm. People work and cant take off work to get into their storage when they need to. These hours need to change so people can use there unit. I am moving and I cant get a truck until after my husband gets off work. He works until 5pm and doesnt get home until 6pm. This isnt good. They need to allow customers to get into there unit 24 hrs a day 7 days a week. They need to turn the AC on in the units its very hot in there. Not happy! Today I went to put my things in my storage they locked me out of the elevator my unit is unlocked and I walked out the gate to tell the ladie working and she was gone so I was locked out of the gate to get back in to get my car. I called there 24 hrs service they said you can come back tomorrow and get your car. I was so angry I told them I will call the police they laughed I hung up. I called back got a new person they opened the gate and I got my car and I left. Find another place to rent this place isnt worth it they have to many issues. Update I was there 3 days and I moved out to another 24hr. storage and I am much happier now that I dont have to deal with there issues on time no more.

Facility is in an excellent location with easy access, but they reconfigure the layout from time to time requiring you to move everything which is extremely inconvenient. I've purchased multiple units here and the price goes up on fairly consistent intervals. The first unit doubled in cost over two years and my second unit has increased about 50% in just under 18 months. While the location is nice, people also steal the carts so they may have 10 available one day and then for a long period only one or two available. Not their fault but with how much we pay for storage I would expect they could replace them faster (1st floor had 3 or 4 carts max for nearly a year). If it weren't for the price increases I would be very happy, but they do this because they know it's more of a challenge to move elsewhere than to just take the monetary hit. I'm sure other storage places operate similarly but my experience is with this location and business and overall it's average because of the reasons previously mentioned. Update: The manager reached out following my review and resolved the issue of the steadily increasing bill. I appreciate the kindness and quality of customer service the manager displayed! The rising bill was my primary complaint and the one thing within that location's control, so with that and the experience woth the manager I am updating my rating to 5 stars.

Visited the facility to inquire about availability and pricing. Drell, the young lady at the front desk helped us and answered all our questions along with showing us some units. We told her we would think about it and let her know. We went to another storage for the same information and the pricing was cheaper than Public Storage. We went back to PS and moved forward with renting a unit there even though it was a little more expensive than the other facility all because of the attitude Drell had with us…she was super nice and had a really positive attitude with amazing customer service. I told her why we decided and she just gave us a huge smile! I informed her that I do in fact give reviews when I receive bad service but I also praise when we receive AMAZING customer service. Her great attitude was the deciding factor with getting our unit at PS! GREAT JOB DRELL!!

The facility itself is great but I feel bad for the employees because like today....one worker trying to handle the entire facility and phone calls and eating lunch.....Public Storage is failing big time in that area....the woman was so sweet though and very cordial even though other customers were very frustrated and getting angry....one of the biggest companies in the US and can't staff properly....horrible.

I chose this location because of it's proximity to my home. I rented the space because of the awesome customer service I experienced by the newly promoted property manager - Drell - and her assistant. I liked that the overall property was clean, (bathrooms needed some attention - fairly clean but needed tissue). I would have given 5 stars but i noticed that there was alarm that was going off and, by the sound of it, it had been doing so for a while. Customer service, 5 stars. Site, 4 stars. Congratulations, Drell!!!

They never answer

There is never any staff in the office. When there is people in there they keep the door locked and keep the sign about them returning at a later time and act really bothered when they have to open up the door. All I wanted was to buy an extra storage lock I didn’t think that the store would be closed until noon when operating hours start at 9am. This is the second where I come in this week unload my items for 2+ hours and the main office is still closed with no staff to help unbelievable because they are “too busy” were the exact words given to me when someone finally opened up the front door to the office.

Excellent customer service! Be wary of the $1 first month... rent your unit on the first of the month because if you do like I did and rent it on the 24th, you get a week for $1. But it was a necessity for me and locations are very convenient.

Very professional and efficient

The first thing I wanted to do after arriving from Kuwait was to check out my storage units. I hired a three-man crew to assist me in moving things around. On the morning of September 2, 2021 (the day I'm driving to the facility) my daughter calls to tell me she lost the keys. Andrika was super nice about it. Andrika also allowed me to transfer my storage units to the ground floor near each other. I had to call a lock smith. To make a bad situation worse I gave the lock smith the wrong storage number and had to purchase someone a replacement lock. Andrika called the owner of the storage unit and explained what happened and told them a key would be waiting for them. Andrika turned a challenging morning into a ray of sunshine. She was super accommodating, friendly, and a joy to be around. Thanks Andrika :)

A very clean place to store your belongings. Roberta and Jodi are excellent with assisting customers. A follow-up to my previous review: After a quick trip to my unit the facility once again is clean and well kept. The associated named Nakiema was very friendly helpful!

Service was great! My only suggestion would be to extend the gate access past 6pm for people who may want to access their unit after work.

I came to this facility looking for a place located near my new home that offered climate controlled options and was secure. I got all of those things and much more. I recently went in to discuss additional storage options and I was greeted by Nakiema and Angela. They were so professional, helpful, and knowledgeable. They went the extra mile to help me find the perfect solution for my storage needs. I highly recommend this location.

So far very unimpressed. Clay rd and Elrod location. Nobody can help me with my account. I went to get a storage unit today and the Lady all thought very nice could not help me. Came home used chat all they keep doing us sending me links and nothing is working. I cannot speak to anybody on a Sunday of course. I really would like to access my account. I go to unload some of my items in my car and they have 2 carts. Yes 2 that us the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of. That is all yet they have in the property. Really this is a storage facility. They get 2 star for pleasant lady.

Everything from booking my reservation online to the courtesy call of my appointment was great. It was until I arrived at the public storage that I had a terrible experience. Forgive me, but Unfortunately I was so upset that I didn’t catch the lady’s name. She was Caucasian with red hair. I had questions regarding my move in as well as a previous bill with public storage. She was very unhelpful and had attitude in regards to me asking questions. Finally at the point where I notice it wasn’t going anywhere I told her to cancel everything. She passed my drivers licence back at me with an attitude as well as a frown on her face. very unprofessional. Sadly to say I used them before but will not use them again. So I rented a storage unit from U-haul.

Second time they are raising rates. The first time was 3 months after moving in. Now they raise in the middle of this plandemic that is causing everyone financial hardship. Don't bother calling for help, they have no plans on assisting anyone. Don't miss a payment, they'll hit you with a 30$ fee! Update: spoke with representative regarding situation. Was advised they would dismiss my late fee and roll back my rate. I would have been more pleased if the area manager had offered to reduce my previous rate due to the ongoing financial crisis we are all in.

*****WORST STORAGE PLACE EVER****** STORY TIME......Yesterday I asked my daughter to drop a few things off at our storage unit (we've been renting at this location for about 7 months), she called and said she couldn't unlock it. I assumed she was trying to get the wrong unit unlocked. So this afternoon, while I was at work, my husband went with her, to help her and we found out that our unit was broken into. When the lady in the office, Jodi, was made aware of the situation, there was no compassion for our misfortune whatsoever. Instead my husband was told that he needed to wait for me (even though he is listed on the account), Jodi called to tell me what I already knew (mostly because my husband was standing in the office telling me) and I asked if I could give a verbal consent to cut the lock so we could gain access to assess the damage....NOPE. She was to busy talking over me and telling me that the property manager was close by and on the way and I had to sign some release (even though she called me and I was giving verbal consent). I told her I was on the way and asked her to make sure the property manager/owner was there so I could speak to him. As she continued to talk over me, I let her know again that I was on the way and to keep the property manager there till I get there. When I arrived the police were there taking a statement from my husband and my daughter, Jodi nor the property manager were anywhere to be found. In fact the five of us had to go find them to get any assistance. Jodi was hiding in the office and the property manager was sitting in his car. I signed the release and they kept trying to imply that the unit was not locked and I had to correct BOTH letting them know it was their locks that was purchased from them that I was using. I guess this must happen often here for them to be utterly UNPHASED by one of their units being broken into. I understand that its just stuff, but a little compassion can go a long way versus a callous demeanor. Considering I sent my daughter alone, and the times I have gone alone to drop things off at our unit, one of us could have interrupted the crooks and things could have been way worse than our missing belongings. So the lesson I learned today.....READ the fine print on your contract...they take no responsibility, nor do they give a hoot about your safety or the safety of your belongings. BUY the insurance, but only 5K is covered. Jodi is not helpful and embellishes on the safety of the facility, the cameras are not throughout as she implies. BE CAREFUL, the doors that you have to enter codes into to open, can be propped open and have been on many occasions. The flimsy chicken wire like "ceiling" they have is as safe as a police officer with a foil vest and apparently is quite easy to get into. As it states in the contract.....USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

I was in a bind to get a new storage unit last weekend (5/30/20) after my current storage unit with another company received damage from someone starting a fire with a cigarette. Destany was able to get me into a climate-controlled unit and show me around the same day. She was very courteous, friendly and professional.

This was the absolute worst service I've ever received from a storage company ever in life. I actually used this exact same company earlier last year, and had the exact same issues. I agreed to pay one amount which I believe was already exceptionally high, then forced to buy insurance on the unit and told I didn't have a choice and without notice of any kind, raised the rent by $30 also without any explanation. I went to the facility to inquire about the price increase and asked why was I not notified ? I got every excuse one could possibly imagine, along with a little attitude for asking. This is the second time I've had this issue with this company, I WILL NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN IN LIFE !!!!!!!!!!! I can guarantee you, if you compare prices and check around, you'll find that just about every storage facility out there is far less than this company. Also I have not came across another storage company that forces you to buy insurance as a mandatory option for renting space with them. I actually went about a mile from this location to another Storage facility Lone Star Storage Center, I got the exact same size unit 10 X 20, I pay $60, and is not forced to buy insurance. That exact same unit at Public Storage with the insurance they forced on me was $105.00. This is my experience with this particular location, I can't say all the locations are like this, but this was my experience and I can honestly say I will never used this company again for anything.

Lady’s were nice but please know when renting from them you have to buy their lock 19.99 then they make you get the insurance on the unit no where did they say that on their website if I didn’t need a storage today I would have looked somewhere else so disappointing also units do not have lights or electricity so they are dark!!!

Was happy with them whe I first got my unit. After having it for 3 months they raised the the price without notifying me of the increase. They are real quick to tack on an extra $20.00 if your a day late. I have a very small unit and $50.00 is way too much to pay when Storage units are a dime a dozen!

Jodi runs this facility very well. The staff is friendly, the facility it's self is always clean, and we always felt safe there. The process to enroll was easy and the process to terminate our service was equally as easy. This is the second time we have used one of Jodi's storage units and we won't hesitate to use it again if need be.

Never had any issues. We had our unit for about a year. Our stuff stayed safe with lots of security codes and features, and we were able to get a unit on the first floor.

Pascha at this location was nothing short of amazing. During the inclement weather here in Houston, I was running late trying to make in-person payment, since the complex is close to me. Unfortunately I didn't make it until 6:15 PM, she greeted me with a smile, allowed me to come in after closing, she took my payment, and made it an extreme convenience letting me know that I can make a payment at ANY location. Something I wasn't aware of prior to speaking with her. Thanks Pascha!

We used Public Storage at Clay Rd near Grand Parkway as a result of Hurricane Harvey. We were there approximately 1-1/2 years. The facility is very secure and very clean. There were multiple levels of security which provided peace of mind. It is air conditioned so good for furniture, etc. Jodi is the manager. She is a great manager and runs a really nice facility.

I have been renting a unit at this location for a year and have never had a problem. However when a unit owner nextdoor carelessly allowed a household chemical to spill I was immediately notified by Ms. Jodi. Not only was I notified quickly but Ms. Jodi stayed around until I could make it to the facility and assisted me in checking the unit. My belongings appeared to be fine however she continued to provide me suggestions on what I could do until I can get someone to assist me in moving my stuff in order to thoroughly check my unit. Excellent customer service!

I called them and asked them if I can store my Harley-Davidson and they said sure they had a industrial elevator and everything. The elevator wasn't big enough and they wanted me to push my motorcycle well over a hundred yards and the thing weighs well over 800 lb. What a big waste of time

This was a new property built next door to my neighborhood in 2018. At first management seem kind of rude but in some miraculous way she has come across as nice lately. However, I did get stuck on the elevator because I owed a $20 late fee. I believe that the manager intentionally make me wait on that elevator at least 10 or 15 minutes until help arrived on the intercom. There are cameras inside of the elevator so I'm not sure why it took her so long to see me. But as I asked the help line for a manager while on the elevator she was contacted me immediately. The main thing I don't like is that there are no lights inside of the units you have to bring your own lantern or fluorescent lamp. I was very surprised being that this is a new building and all the other public storage's I've going to have had lights inside of the storages.the only life they have other ones that are censored as you walk through the door they turn on in the hallway.

Public Storage are a bunch of crooks who's only goal is to get you in the door and then hold your stuff hostage why'll they jack up the rent as fast as they can. They good and well it will cost you more to move your stuff out, so you will just suck it up and say with them. If you think "I'll just give them a call and try to work out a lower price" don't waste your time. They know what you're going to say. Their response is pretty clear "The Rent Will Not Go Down." Find a local place that will actually respect you as a customer.

The ladies working Jodi and Olivia were very kind when they were helping me. They are very sweet and generous ladies . I am very satisfied with the service that they gave me i would defenetly return .

Jody called me to let me know she found a box that belonged to me for my work that I had lost. She was extremely professional in the way she communicated to me on what she found and the condition the box was in. She immediately told me that she would hold the box in the office for my return to pick it up. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience and conversation with Jody.

We have had an awesome experience using this facility. The wonderful ladies in the office are helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and greet me with enthusiasm every time I enter the office. I’m going to be sad when our time using public storage is over. Definitely recommend using this facility for your storage needs!!

Horrible... horrible.... horrible. I made a small payment with my bank card and they fraudulently accessed my account and charged over $100 to my account using my checking and routing number. Which they must've stopped from my previous payments. I am filling charges against them if this issue isn't fixed immediately. I've rented at several storage facilities and this is by far the worst. My bill keeps getting higher and the manager Jody is EXTREMELY RACIST. Cant wait to move by stuff out and Never rent here again.

It's storage.

I had a great experience with Erabur when I checked in to my new storage unit. The location is conveniently located off the Grand Parkway/99. I was a customer of another nearby Public Storage location but was able to get a unit that was twice the size for less than I was paying earlier. This location requires that you sign out the carts from the main office to help with loading/unloading items...so it isn't as convenient as other locations that have carts available at all of the major lobbies. Basically this means that you only have cart access while the main office is open. Otherwise, I am pleased with my experience at the location thus far.

Great place to have your stored things

carts are kept locked up. what is the point of having them there. also rates will kill u. they dont tell you about the first $60 they will rip u off with fees, lock u have to buy, and then mandatory insurance. the $1 first month doesnt help at all when they rip u off in the long run. u end up payin more than u think. terrible customer service over the phone i cant even ask about billing on my own storage . place is like prison cant access after 9pm.

The young lady told my son there would be carts there to help us to take his merchandise to storage and it was not the place was hot so pls double check to make sure it is done before you leave the building
