Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 1756 Wilmington Pike, Glen Mills, PA

I have been a Public Storage Customer since 2010 at different locations. I truly recommend this facility because of the workers such as Carter and previous workers truly care about the customer experience and go above and beyond to ensure that they can assist you with your storage needs. The facility is always clean inside and outside. The handcarts are functional along with their elevators. Thank You 🙏🏼 Public Storage 🤩 😊

This place since the pandemic has raised my rent so high, I can no longer afford it!! I don’t understand how this is even possible! I’ve tried calling corporate several times, I can’t get one person on the phone! If these policies were explained to me, I would have never put my belongings in this place! Everyone is out to rob you theses days

What a great experience on Valentine's Day so I went to take some stuff to my unit.. at the end of the day I stop in the office where Kris was there. She approach me at the front door with a great greeting cookie's and a chocolate rose... All I can say that made my day and most of all the office and yard was cleaned she a very hard work always on the moving....very helpful in every aspect to this company every question was on point... she's a keeper public storage

I was looking for a storage unit in my area and came across Public storage. The facility looked very nice, clean, and well maintained. I called and I talked to a very nice lady named Kris and she was very informative about the units and pricing.

I am moving out of state, and reserved storage units at my new location. However, the move-in date was wrong on one of my units, and I was told to stop in at a location here to sign paperwork to change my move-in date. I went to the location in Glenn Mills today, and met with Bria, who made several attempts to get the computer to make the change, called the customer service people, and eventually worked out how to make the change. Great service for a person not even renting here. Many thanks to Bria!

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE with this facility. After repeatedly asking if management could please place trash cans around property to dispose of trash I was told they do not put out trash cans because "they would need to pay someone to come and remove the trash and they didn't want to have to do that" I'm sorry what?! You people get HUNDREDS of dollars a month from each storage unit and you can't offer the convenience of a simple trash can bc it will "cost too much" for you to take the trash out. Gross and greedy business behavior. Also, in the summer the bugs are out out control. I would constantly be attacked my dozens of mosquitoes while trying to load stuff into my car. I will be immediately be moving my stuff to one of the MANY other storage unit choices in the area.

Ron at Public storage went above and beyond, and really keeps an eye on the property. I had accidentally left the storage door open, as I was rushing around trying to pick up some items. Ron noticed the door open and closed it and put on a lock to protect our storage items. I came back 20 minutes later, noticed the lock and immediately knew he had been looking out for us. I appreciate it more than he could know. Ron, thanks for looking out and providing a safe storage facility.

Public Storage in Glen Mills, PA, is a very good place to store your belongings. The manager, Ron R. is very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He greeted me kindly the first time I visited. We discussed my needs and he explained what they had available. He allowed me to look at the storage unit available. It was clean and secure. When I went back to the office, Ron R. explained to me the terms and pricing. He also explained the insurance they had available, but at no time did I feel pressured to purchase it. It was quite inexpensive and covered things my own insurance did not, so I did get their insurance, so I would be fully covered. Ron R. told me the hours to gain access and he provided me with an access code number for the gate, and a key for the lock on the roll up door of the unit I rented. When I left, I had no questions and felt fully informed. I highly recommend Public Storage in Glen Mills, PA, and Ron R. for your storage needs!!

If I could give this place a zero I would . Sold a climate controlled unit and it wasn’t. Two years later we had our belongings from storage delivered to our home in NC and most of it was mold infested . We lost over $10,000 worth of our home belongings . The local office lied to us. We contacted the corporate office and they were unapologetically rude and did not help us at all. Stay away from this place !!!!

I have never used a self-storage facility before and while this was my first time, I wasn't sure what to expect. Ron was extremely helpful and called me right away after I reserved my storage locker. He ran through all of the details, answered my questions and made some recommendations for the first day of the rental. I was pleased with the size and cleanliness of the space and I feel more at ease knowing that I'll have to make several trips to and from the facility while moving. He then talked me through the online booking of the storage unit, which saved me a lot of time versus going to the actual storage location to fill out the paperwork. My boyfriend and I rented a storage unit for about a month. This was our first time renting a unit, but Ron made our experience smooth and effortless. He answered all of our questions and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed.

Ron was a very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable manager. My Sister transitioned from California back here to the East coast and needed a temporary home for her belongings. The facility was exceptionally clean, with easy access and a great amount of hand carts to use. The climate controlled units were set at a very comfortable temperature. If your looking for a temporary home for your belongings, this would be the one.

i stopped by this facility just to get a few prices and to look around. You can tell the managers here care for their job. Excellent service, excellent establishment.

The first time I stored here, my experience was fine. Every time I've had to talk to the employees, they were kind and helpful. However this past experience storing my apartment while I was out of the country was a disaster. I returned to the US after a few months and came back to find most of the wooden furniture in my unit covered in mold. Only two of the pieces were salvageable and could be cleaned, the rest had to be disposed of when moving out. I had an inside unit and my furniture now smells like mildew. We found spiders in the floor of my unit, cobwebs under the table and bookshelf, and a tick on top of my mattress upon moving it into my new apartment. I stopped by the main office to let them know my furniture had mold on it and ask how to file an insurance claim. I was given a booklet with the phone number for the mandatory insurance I was required to buy, but upon researching how to file claims for mold learned that I would likely not be able to get anything back for the damages. Now I have to buy new furniture to replace what once was perfectly fine. I've learned my lesson to go to a climate controlled storage facility and will never use this company again.

I went over there to inquire about a unit and the the wonderful lady Tiara answered all my questions in a professional manner i will recommend public storage to my friends.

We had a great experience working with Tiara at public storage. When we first opened a storage unit and then decided we needed something bigger , Tiara very quickly transferred us and set it up so we saved money. She was great to work with and really made our experience easy and pleasant . The place is secure and we did not have any problems while we used the facility for 2 months.

I have been storing my stuff at the Chadds Ford Public Storage for over a year and out of all the Office Representatives, Tiara, has been by far the kindest, most knowledgeable person working here. Tiara has always been able to help me in times of need and always able to answer my questions so I can understand everything better. She works hard and is always doing more then she has too. I’ve seen how wonderful and human she can be with her big heart through are small chats and think she makes the experience at Public Storage one I will always remember.

The Elevators smelt like urine they were very dirty I was almost afraid to leave my items here due to having to walk through 3different buildings to store my items ,I travel and used many storage facilities before this, this is not a clean facility,i noticed dead mice on the second floor near the door where we came into the second floor and smells of mildew ,the guy was very unprofessional and personal he seemed to walk ahead of us .I ended up back into the office twice after renting 1 to purchase a lock and second time the gate code did not work ,I know it's just a place to store things for now however,you are a customer service representative maybe some Good training and development by the company might do him some justice by the way I advised my name was spelled wrong he advised he would change it but looks like laziness kicked in..also looks like some of your reviews are staged 3 different reviews from same person at 3 different locations that also has me concerned and confused how can Mr Clark be in 3 different places renting in a day ? Do you make your workers do this to draw in customers?

I had the pleasure of working with Tiara and she was wonderful to work with and very capable of helping us. We had been customers for three years and we needed a package for moving our 4 bedroom house. She worked very hard to find us the best package at the best price and when we finished we felt we got a tremendous value. Tiara went above and beyond helping us and we are very appreciative. I have rented various size storage units at this location for 5 years... Absolutely terrible customer service when something goes wrong..... You must buy their super overpriced locks...... Accidentally lose your key..... Get ready to fork over a $150. I would highly suggest any one of the other local storage facilities I have rented from all of them. If you want some good advice just stay away from public storage.

Went to the Glenn Mills to go look at a unit and pricing information on the storage units. Tiara was helpful with everything and had great customer service . The place was very clean and up kept . I definitely recommend Public Storage for exceptional pricing and customer service.

Tiara was very helpful when my trailer was unable to fit in the space I reserved (my mistake). She was kind enough to walk me through additional options and offers that were better suited to my needs. I will be referring others to come check out this location.

I reserved a drive up space online for $173.00. I received a confirmation email. Two days later I received a new email confirmation that changed my reservation to an upstairs unit for $171.00. I called and spoke with the manager and said that I didn't want an upstairs unit, that I reserved and wanted the drive up unit. She said that she would check and call me back. She never did. The next day was our move in date and when we went to pay for our space we were told that it was... the upstairs unit. The manager lied and said that I had called and changed the reservation to the upstairs unit. I did not. Why would I want to carry a sectional sofa upstairs? And for almost the same price. We were told we could have the drive up space if we paid $250. That sounds a lot like bait and switch to me. I called the District Manager, Regina Boyle and explained what had happened and could she please call me back. Still waiting for the phone call. Will never recommend this company and will actually tell people to stay away. They are rude, unprofessional and liars. Caused a lot inconvenience and chaos for us and if I could give 0 stars, I would. See more

***Just moved out of a unit, and even though I have pictures of it empty and without the lock (location and time/date stamped) and "checked out" prior to the 1st, I had to contact the district manager, who took care of getting it closed out but I still had a $2.50 remaining balance...really? I moved out but local rep in the office didn't check me out and caused this frustration. Honestly, do yourself a favor and get a place elsewhere because it isn't worth the frustrations. Air cond/heat is barely there, might as well not call it climate controlled. ** Oh, and yes, another rate increase.....they just keep coming after you sign on - those teaser rates don't last.....**at least you cannot say I didn't tell you so.....if not right away, you will figure it out soon enough. This place continues to raise your rates, even though you "lock in" a special rate on the rare times there are such rates. The front gate hasn't worked for months, and when it did, it was often out of service for weeks to months. A high priced place like this is full of excuses and no answers. They explain it like it is a big decision on how they'll pay for the gate to get replaced or repaired, when in fact that is why I'm paying rent faithfully, for years now, and no such luck on getting this resolved. If I tried to tell them I had a hard time coming up with the months rent, I'm sure they wouldn't listen or care. When they tell me how they have a hard time getting the gate fixed, i'm supposed to cry and feel bad for them? The sheds are good, and they fit the need. However, the elevators are often in questionable condition, and the "climate controlled" really means they aren't outside but when you find it is 85 in the summer and 50 in the winter, it isn't exactly how I'd consider it climate controlled. Once summer is over, I will be moving out of here to another place that is more reasonably priced and actually has a working gate. For the money they charge, there should not be these kind of open ended long term issues with no resolve. I've hesitated writing a review, to give them time to straighten up their messes, but nothing has changed in literally years.

Property manager was great! My stay was short but I never had any issues. Great job!

Rented the unit on a dollar for the first month and moved in December. Monthly rental rate was raised 12% on June 1. That's a pretty stiff increase for less than six months of occupancy. During that time, the security gate was broken for nearly 4 months. The personnel that work here are good, but it hardly justifies the increase. I strongly recommend you rent elsewhere.

Yesterday me and my husband came here to buy some boxes because we are in the process of moving. We were greeted by Kristen who was super friendly and was very knowledgeable to her merchandise and helped us figure out exactly what we needed. I would definitely recommend coming here when you need supplies for moving.

I have had a unit here for a bit over two years and have had no issues at all with safety of my belongings, accidental damage, bugs, water damage, etc. Jessica was very helpful in assisting me with getting another smaller unit this past week. The cost over time adds up, but the surrounding area and the facility itself is in a great area where I feel that my stuff is safe.

Buyer beware! I am having a frustrating situation with Public storage. They raised my rental rate after five months 25%. No warning at all. By time I was finally leave a message with a customer service manager, I received a voice message that they were sorry I was upset but, they could do nothing about this. It was in fine print in my contract. When I signed the contract I asked the property manager if there was anything I should really pay attention to in this agreement in terms of increases etc. She told me it was very simple agreement with no surprises.

Needed a storage unit for a month. Saw this place across the street. Fast, friendly, service. Jessica was very prompt, courteous, and helpful. Would recommend to anyone!

We went here to rent a storage unit temporarily. When we arrived, we were greeted by S'Ba. He was very pleasant in his greeting. As we went on he asked us questions to determine what size storage unit we would need. We originally thought we would need a 5×5 but he believed that we needed a 5×10. He showed us the 5×5 and he was correct, we did need a 5×10. After we chose the unit, we returned to the office to fill out the required papers, the most boring part of the process. But he was very pleasant and communicative throughout that it wasn't even boring. So all in all, this public storage location was a very positive experience, and if we ever need to store anything again, it will be here.

In 38 years of retail business mngmnt., I have seen an extensive range of dedication and skill level in my employees. There are amazing examples on either end of the spectrum, from the employee who referred to someone as "just a customer" to those who were as good or better than me. Bear in mind that most of these workers were making minimum wage or just slightly above. There is no truer gauge of a persons value to a company than the desire to do their best regardless of their pay rate. Recently, my wife, my son, and I had the distinct pleasure of interacting with Charrie at your Glen Mills, PA location. All the ready superlatives apply such as extremely courteous, knowledgeable, competent and professional. In addition, we all had a positive reaction that is not as easy to describe. She has an innate quality of spirit that sets her apart from most people. She ranks among the highest. You are very lucky to have her in your employ.

Charrie is AWESOME!! When I went in to rent from Charrie there was a man there working on the computer system. She called another person, at a different location, to set up my account. She was kind and professional to her fellow employee as she was setting up my account. She was bragging on the man, TO HIS FACE, how much she valued his professional service and the great job he did, fixing her system - THIS IS RARE!!! It is rare to find someone who is kind, professional and goes "out-of-her-way" to give you AWESOME customer service!!! She made my day - thank you Charrie!!

Public storage is a good self service storage place that is security for your storage needs. The nice young lady at the facility takes her time to get you through the first part of the rental phrase with ease. She is friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable about the facility. And once you finish that, you are on your way to your rental experience. This one is a winner, if you don't believe me, check it out yourself. I think you will agree.

This place is the worst. When I went and rented a place - they charged me for two. They took the funds of my credit card for 2 units and refused to refund. Despite my going in there about 10 times and talking to two different District managers who promised to look into it but never did. The first district manager they told me they fired because of this type of none response. The second just never got back to me. Both gave me attitude. It's infuriating. I finally gave up and never got refunded for the 2nd unit which I NEVER used. I cleared my stuff out of the other unit and am done with them. My choice now is to sue them in small claims or waste another 10 hours of my life trying to get paid back. DON'T RENT HERE. They actually called and asked that I write a review. Haha. What a joke.

I've been renting for 2 years. Andrea is very helpful & knowledgeable. My only complaint is cost. 7/1/14 will be my 4th increase in 2 years. Called Customer Service but they would only delay the increase for 3 mos. I need long term storage. Online found same size units, clean, safe w/ climate control for $560 less yr. I really thought a long-term, good pay tenant was worth keeping ... but I was wrong.
