If I could give zero stars I would. STAY AWAY!!! I BEG OF YOU STAY AWAY! I've made all my payments on time and in full and they have charged my account with false charges and have marked my items to go to auction! I called to clarify things assuming it was a stupid mistake and the property manager screamed at me over and over how I never paid for August and how my stuff is going to auction because of my October payment..... um.... it's September!!!!!! Absolutely horrific how she treated me despite my kindness. After ending the call I went straight to the better business bureau! I urge you to do the same!!!! Get your stuff out now and run while you still can!!!!!!!!
I found this location after a quick Google search when another facility flaked out on me. Tracye & Travis worked with me and walked me through everything, ensuring that I was aware of everything & answered all my questions. The facility is very clean and looked well kept.

The Public Storage at 1400 Capital Boulevard in Raleigh is convenient, clean and well-maintained. The people there are also provide great customer service, with Rose in particular being especially helpful. She helped my son and me move in his school stuff during the summer and she really helped us at the beginning of the fall semester when my wife vacuumed out the car the night before we left and unwittingly vacuumed up the locker keys. We spoke to Rose while on the road (with the keys well in the rear view mirror) and Rose helped us get the lock removed and replaced before we arrived. She then helped us access the locker the next day to make for a smooth move-out. There’s no question where we’ll store stuff again at the end of this school year.

The employees here are nice and professional and the facility is clean. However, I would not recommend this company. I have been a customer for a little over a year and they have raised my rent at least 3 times going from $70+ to $110+. Unfortunately, you can't just up and move your items and this company takes every advantage in capitalizing off its customers. As soon as I can, I will be moving my things.

Nice storage area but the prices repeatedly went up from the contract price every month. I never had a problem with safety, but did have a problem with inconsistent pricing.

The company set a rate and then hiked the price by a huge amount shortly after moving in. I contacted them to see if anything could be done and they stated rates are subject to change at any time. I asked about why the rates were increasing and they said it was to adjust to the market. Other nearby companies aren’t charging rates this high.
This location has amazing staff that will guide you through every step of the process and help you in any way they can. I am new to storage facilities and Tracye and Laquanda were patient, helped me through the reservation process, and were there to greet me with friendly service the day I moved in. The two of them are amazing and very excellent.

As mini-storage locations go, this is better than most I've used (and I've used at least a half dozen). I like the internal access and door code security, even on the elevator. The only complaint I have is that the access is from a very busy road, which can be challenging when you are hauling a trailer.
I highly recommend this location for your storage needs. Tracye was pleasant and very helpful. When I had an issue she gave me great customer service. I really appreciate Public Storage for hiring a manager like Tracye that understood my situation and was willing to go beyond what was necessary to make sure that my issue was resolved.
Pulled on the door handle at 9:25 am but the door was locked. The nicest women Laquanda came to the door and open it with the biggest smile that I could see through her eyes and had the biggest heart warming greeting that I could of be received early in the morning . Laquanda and Tracye helped me with the right size space for a great price. I’m recently new to the area and while we were completing the paperwork Tracye gave me the best places to eat, places to visit while I’m here in NC. Tracye is such a doll. I’ve been using this storage facility for 3 months now and I highly recommend. It’s clean and secure. I love the features in the app bc I can open the gates from my phone so I won’t have to touch the public keypad. I can pay in person, online, or in the app. View my bill online or in the app. Gates open at 6am and close at 9 pm. Plenty of time for working people to stop by their storage.

The unit is well taken care of. No spiders or other creepy crawlies. I feel safe going to the facility after dark. Well lit and lots of security points in place. I was skeptical about ordering a unit online, but Tracy made the whole process easy. She is the epitome of customer service.

I’d love to have light over the units, but was so comfortable there I chose to stay as I knew my belongings were safe and great people are overseeing things. I was recently sent to Public Storage to perform service work for Public Storage and I was greeted by Ms. Tracye and Ms. LaQuanda. I usually never a post on sites like this but I had to because they were both so warm, inviting and friendly. As I was working, I also witnessed first hand that this treatment was not only to/for me but I watched them speak to and deal with several customers the same way. They even spoke to and comforted several customers who seemed to be anxious about the Public Storage process. I had the pleasure of working with Tracye again, and just like before, she was phenomenal. Always so friendly and willing to help and answer any (sometimes dumb) questions I had. We moved from a 5x10 to a 5x5 and she reserved one that was so close and convenient I couldn't have asked for better!

Employees are super friendly and quickly got us through the move-in process. Pricing seems fair and they have the one-time purchase of a lock from them for $19.99 that I can use in the future when I use them again. I’m renting for 3 weeks, got a 5’x10’ unit, paid for the lock and reserved the unit online during a special period of a $1 for the first month’s rent. In total ~$65. Fits everything easily, is a very clean facility, and they have carts to help move your stuff.
I went just to size up a unit and ended up leasing a space the same visit. Tessa was very helpful, informative, and pleasant to work with--overall a great experience.
Do yourself a favor if you need to store, and go see Laquanda, Tracye and Kendra. It's not only a very budget friendly storage facility, they were very kind and helpful my entire time there!

Needed an storage facility asap and I contacted this facility and spoke with Laquande. She guided me through the steps starting with the E-reservation, and then I was able to bring our belongings to the facility within an hour! Took care of the paperwork and adjusted the size of our storage to fit what we had extremely quickly. We offloaded and were able to depart in ~30-45 mins and make our next appointment. I needed to upgrade my unit size, so I called the prior to going to their office. I was greeted by a friendly and happy voice when I called. The person on the phone was the manager, Tracye. She provided answers to all my questions. When I went to the office, on that same day, I immediately recognized who Tracye was by her voice; this was my first time seeing her at the office. She had the same welcoming energy when I introduced who I was, as I explained that I had called and spoke to her. The day that I went there, they were very busy, due to families moving their college student's belongings in since COVID-19 led to school campuses closing. As you can imagine, there were a lot of check-ins, groups of families and a full parking lot. Tracye showed me two larger units on the second floor that were in a convenient location from my smaller, first floor unit. I was able to get a tour and sign the paperwork within 10-15mins of my arrival. The whole time that I was with Tracye on the property, she greeted families, answered additional questions and kept me laughing, as this was a stressful time. I am glad to have continued my rental service at this location. I also found out that I could access my storage unit until midnight, by simply making a phone call during office hours to request the extension. I recommend this facility for use, due to the kind, customer-oriented staff and great management, by Tracye.

Thank you to Laquanda and the staff at Public Storage for making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in the door on Leap Day this year! This is a great facility that is clean, easily accessible, not too busy, and the parking lot had plenty of room for the UHAUL we rented. There are also carts available for free use and clean restrooms. I would highly recommend this facility for storage (we used the unit for about a month as we were only in need of temporary storage). The person who rented our unit before us had the unit for a decade or more and I imagine that this Public Storage would also be great for the long term as well. Thank you again. -Adam

The staff that work here are very friendly but they are powerless to do anything. Public Storage is incredibly unethical, and once you start with them, it is incredibly difficult to leave. Once you do, they are glad to keep taking your money (and refuse to refund you). I would highly recommend that you choose somewhere other than Public Storage. There are a bunch of better options that have good customer service and staff that are able to actually get things done.

I have rented a unit at this facility for two years now and, up until recently, had no real complaints. However, last month someone cut a hole in the wire ceiling of my unit and stole several valuable items. Walking around the floor, you can see wire sticking up from several other units around mine, so it looks like mine wasn't an isolated incident. When I reported it to the office, I was told there was nothing they could do since I don't have their insurance (I have coverage through another provider). I filed a police report, but the staff could not provide access to any video surveillance footage of the theft. Multiple calls to the property owner and the regional manager have gone unanswered. I never even got an "I'm sorry this happened to you." They did let me move to a new unit, but then tried to bill me a partial month for it on top of my regular rent until I called and had them reverse it, again with no apology. I have been shocked and saddened by the way I've been treated by this business, especially after having to deal with the trauma of having been burglarized. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

This is by far one of the best Public storage locations. Every time I need to visit this site the customer service always amazes me. There are 3 ladies in particular who have always gone above and beyond to help with my needs. I’ve had a positive experience with 1st Laquanda who was more than glad to help with my absent mind of forgetting my gate entrance. 2nd was Tessa who didn’t just make me feel like I was paying my bill. But securing my valuables. 3rd was Tracey. Her professionalism over the phone was outstanding!!

Very quick both in and out. The staff Laquanda, Tessa, and Tracye were very helpful. Explained everything, showed how things worked, showed the easiest way in and out and just made an unpleasant job as easy as possible. Wish there were more carts available though. The air conditioning a plus! Overall will use this facility again.

First, it was early morning and no coffee yet, but Tracye at the front desk was full of sunshine and smiles. Made me laugh when I arrived, as we walked the property viewing my possible storage location and when she gave me the sales pitch. Tracye is one of a kind. Smart, silly, knows her product well and makes you feel comfortable like your at home versus a cold storage facility. Honestly, both ladies at the front desk were awesome. Although I have yet to put my stuff in the storage unit, I already feel like welcome knowing I will see the smiling sales person Tracye when I head in tomorrow. You guys hired well and should know your best interest are being represented at your facility. The woman deserves a raise.

Very easy access, secure, convenient, and the lovely ladies at the front desk always had a smile, suggestions for packing, and even help me find a place to get rid of unwanted furniture. While I hope we don’t need storage again, if we do, we’ll definitely be back here.

I thought all storage places were the same, but this place has changed my mind and upped the game. The facility itself is great and always clean and bright - I’ve maintained a unit there for over a year and have had no problems at all, but the staff is really what makes it awesome. TRACYE IS THE BEST. She has been so helpful and kind since my first visit here and always remembers me. I had no idea what I needed unit-wise and she walked me through everything, even staying late to help me. I also forgot what my key looked like at one point and she took the extra time to send me a picture so I’d know what I was looking for (found it!!). Ultimately a great, clean safe place that comes with a Tracye!! Best place to rent storage.

On a daily basis I meet many people in the line of work I'm in and I've found it to be very rare to meet someone as exceptional as Tracye (the store manager from Public Storage). She is someone that you can tell cares about her effect on others and it's reflected in the high caliber of her personality and the quality of her work. When I went to Public Storage (ther one on Capital Blvd) the whole facility was incredibly clean and organized as were the employees. On top of that Tracye really made a rather mundane task a real joy. I've never rented a storage unit before so I was somewhat apprehensive and cautious but Tracye not only put my mind at ease with her knowledgable answers to my questions but then gave me a detailed walkthrough of the facility as well as how everything works. I am the kind of person who will pay more for quality coupled with good customer service but with Public Storage I didn't have to pay more! The first month they only charged me $1.00 and then just $55.00/ month afterwards for a 10x10 climate controlled unit. I'm very impressed with the business model of Public Storage and because of Trayce you have earned my business for life! Thank you!

The people who work here are awesome. I hate that "let's build more units!" became the driving factor to remove the loading dock and the drive-thru loading area... But I'm guessing all the incompetent drivers who kept ramming the overhead doors had a little to do with that decision. As always, a few knuckleheads ruin it for everyone else.
From the first SECOND I walked into the door it was beyond amazing! The two young ladies in the office greeted me like we have known each other for years. I was shown the unit before I signed up. After asking me probing questions Tracye showed me too options and how I could save money. I almost forgot to purchase mattress covers but Tracye remembered. They do not communicate well with their customers. My rate was raised without my knowledge, saying they sent out a letter in a few months ago, to my current address that I never received, is not a valid way to get in contact with customers. If you are going to jack someone’s rate up an email or a phone call, preferably a phone call, would be more efficient and will allow people to act accordingly. What is the point of putting numbers and emails into the system if they will not be used for useful information? The people are great, but their communication system sucks and could use a lot of work.

Loved this place. Great prices for large units and the staff was helpful and friendly. Most importantly I felt safe when I would go in and out. They have cameras everywhere. If I ever need a storage again I will definitely return! :)

Tanika and Tracye are absolutely amazing! They have always been so polite and helpful! And I can’t leave my storage unit without going in and saying hi to them. No matter how much free time I have I always have to see them and say hello. And I always leave with a smile. The storage facilities are extremely clean and well managed and I am so grateful for finding such a wonderful storage place. I always feel safe when going there and feel my stuff is very protected. This had to be the easiest and most pleasurable part of my move. Ms. Tracy made everything easy! From the first contact on the phone till she left for the day while we were still unloading the truck. Tanika and Tamika helped me out so much. They laughed and joked with me throughout the process of finding me the best unit suitable for my situation. They waited for me to come back after I had to leave to go and get my ID and even called to ensure they would be available upon my return. They are the dream team! I couldn't have asked for better customer service! Especially after leaving Lifestorage a few minutes away interacting with a racist lady with an attitude from hell... thanks guys :)
