Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 300 Historic US 66 Frontage, Bolingbrook, IL

Not happy with them at all. It’s not a secure facility and your items are exposed to rodents, dust, leaves, rain and snow because the doors do not reach the ground. Someone was using my code for access. We changed it and now the app doesn’t work for me at all. People tailgate to gain access to the storage area and there isn’t anything you can do about it. The gate stays open way too long. There are not enough cameras to see the lanes of the garage style units. The guy running the facility is friendly but there isn’t much he can do to help with the issues. Update - The door on my storage unit has been fixed and it closes properly and they also added a new weather strip. It’s much better and I would just suggest that these repairs are made prior to renting the units because there are several unit with similar issues. I also learned that every unit receives a bag of rodent poison and that doesn’t necessarily mean that there are rodents on the premises. I have not seen any rodents or any other pests in my unit. Lastly, the property manager put in an IT request to help fix the gate access in my app. It’s been three weeks but I believe they are still working on it. I am happy most of my concerns are being addressed.

Jim helped me open my first storage unit back when this location was a Simply Self Storage. He made everything easy, simple and made me feel comfortable. I closed my rental today and I was happy to see Mr. Jim still works there and was able to help me. As he did before, he made everything simple, easy and super quick! The paper work was very quick and easy. The storage units were cleaned and is perfect capacity I needed

We just went on and rented a storage unit. Jim drove us around to see the unit on a golf cart. It was very convenient. He was very informative and answered all of our questions. Thank you and we look forward to doing business with you in the future.

!!!!!My husband was stuck at the front entrance in the facility for almost 2 hours, because the gate wasn’t opening !!!!!! He supposed to be at work at 7am! He just made a quick stop to the storage on the way to work to grab some necessary stuff. He got in, but he wasn’t able to leave! Only after contacting main office, at 7 am, gate started beeping at 7:40! We both contacted manager multiple times for help to solve this issue and he still didn’t return the phone calls. We are renting 3 units at this facility and we are not happy about it! The lights are not working, so it’s dark if you come early in the morning or later at night, during the winter, they don’t put any salt, so it is slippery and every 3 months they send letters about price increases. !Poor management, poor maintenance! Nobody cares! Started looking for a new, non corporate facility!

I have been storing my things in different storage facilities for over 20 years. This is by far the best. Best price, beyond the best staff, and always clean. I give them 10 out of 5 stars!

Wow !!!!! This is by far the best storage unit I have ever came across ! Jim is absolutely amazing. The process of getting the unit was so smooth and fast. If I could give the customer service 10 stars I would. I highly recommend this storage facility and would continue using them moving forward.

Best place for storage needs.

Horrible storage unit. Since start nothing but issues. Website system is old and out to date. Try to make payments on the system even if it’s half the payment one week and the other payment the next week. System won’t allow it. End of the day they I tried to make payments and if you can’t get into the place due to work. They will rob you blind and sell your stuff. I advise everybody never to use this place. Pay the public storage prices and get something that more consumer friendly. Worse mistake ever. Lost some very personal stuff!

We have had a locker for almost 20 years in Bolingbrook. Recently we have been downscaling our "junk" and needed to dispose of items and move to a smaller unit. The manager, Jim, has been more than helpful in our transition, supplying us with a cart and offering to take away some of the smaller boxes. The transition was very easy due to his advice and knowledge of the details and paperwork. He really is a wonderful, pleasant employee and you are lucky to have him.
