After discovering a leak from above had damaged the contents of our storage unit we asked for assistance to secure a space in the same building pending a visit from the insurance adjuster. Neither the local property manager nor the national WeCare team would reserve a unit down the hall from us that “was available.” They damaged our property yet made no accommodation to minimize our efforts to un pack, move and repack our stuff. Oh they did give us a $50 credit toward future storage fees for the inconvenience. That hardly covers my time nor will it cover the extra costs to clean and I might need to rent two units to afford me time to work with adjuster, remove and clean (MOLD) from our belongings and then repack into a new unit. Where is the CARE team, seems I am the only one bending over backwards in this scenario. Oh and it doesn’t sound like regional manager has any intentions on contacting me. Janae was not interested in just a little bit of extra accommodation securing that empty unit around the corner for a problem THEY CAUSED and that would have gone a long way. Public Storage took the low road at every opportunity with dealing with this crisis. UPDATE: The manager finally called me (AFTER WE REPORTED TO BBB) to tell me she didn’t have any units on property but could find us a unit somewhere else. We declined. Her next concern was if we called the insurance company. Not once during the conversation did she show any empathy or apologize for what happened to us. Her only concern was to get us off the phone so she could get on with her day. The BBB claim was closed with no action because they said I needed to go through my insurance. So on a final note, they “flooded” our unit and failed to properly notify us so I am steering clear on PS forever and telling everyone I know. Go somewhere else for your storage needs. PS acted like a slumlord in my situation. We are happily at a new property but PS still cost us a lot of time and money we will never recoup. Add that into your estimate when figuring your budget. Old saying to good to be true rings clear.

Been waiting for over a week for the lock on my unit to be repaired. I reported it over a week ago. Was told today that a work order was placed with no estimated date of repair available. This is distressing since the security of my stored items is in jeopardy. Update: I just made my third visit to this PS location and complained for the third time about the same thing. The young lady at the desk could/would only provide me with a customer service number. So, with us paying the monthly rate on time every month, in exchange we are allowed to store our possessions in a unit that has a broken lock latch. I would avoid this location like the plague, if you consider your possessions to be of value to you. This location is not customer service friendly, nor is it secure.

Look elsewhere. They keep the indoor Air Conditioned sections as hot as they can possibly get away with even though they charge more and there is never any carts for the customers to use. Doesn't seem like anyone cares very much about running the place correctly.

So today I visited the Public Storage in my area and I must say that I was pleased with the service that I received. It was very easy in signing up and getting my storage space. The rates are very reasonable and customer service was excellent. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

6 Month UPDATE: As Mentioned Below, I had renewed my leases and moved to different spaces within the same Public Storage Location. I did this in an effort to save money. After only renting under my new contract for 6 month, Today I received a Storage Rent Rate Update Post Card effective June 1, 2023. My Parking spot is going from $104.86 Per month to $135.00 and My 10 x 20 Space is going from $215.22 per. month to $290.84. ( All these rates include Taxes and Insurance ) THATS ANOTHER $1,2069.12 per year increase. Be prepared as this will happen to you as well!!!! 05/09/2023 ****************************************************************** Previous Review: I have been a loyal customer for several years and am disappointed to see that my rent keeps going up. I value the convenience and security that Public Storage provides, but I also have to consider my budget. I have 1 unit and a parking spot, both unit and space had increased to $441.98 for a 10X15 a/c unit and $207.58 for a parking space in the back. I went online and reserved a 10 X 20 space for $188.00 per mo. and a parking space for $88.00 per month. That's a $373.56 per month saving ($4,482.72 per year). I went into the office to surrender my units. I delt with Sara in the office. I was incredibly impressed with her customer service skills. I went in to express my dissatisfaction with the recent increase in rent. She was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to make sure I had a smooth and hassle-free experience. She was quick to respond to any questions or concerns I had, and was happy to help. I would highly recommend Sara to anyone in need of storage solutions. She is a true asset to the Public Storage! I would give 5 STARS to Sara, but am only giving 3 STARS for constant rent increases.

WHAT A SCAM!!! To raise monthly rent OVER DOUBLE in less then a year is ridiculous. Other places allow you to ask to lower or at least keep the same rate but I never once asked to lower til they started raising so much and when I did I was denied. Other places said yes. To have to pay so much for a unit that is next to a still water source just produces so many insects and mosquitoes. Worst is the humidity to the storage unit. Doesn’t matter how many moisture catchers you have you things end up getting ruin. I highly recommend going SOMEWHERE ELSE. For the price and condition you have be somewhere better and that is actually painted correctly also. You can still see blue paint everywhere from the previous ownership. Look up the reviews on google, yelp, and BBB. They apparently do this a lot. Rent somewhere else.

Since the FIRST DAY all i’ve gotten was exceptional customer service, also a lot of the yelp reviews aren’t true about the price. i’ve been here 3 months and always had the same storage fee. Everything is always maintained nicely and neat and first time i got to my storage everything was cleaned and the process was very easy.

I rent a storage unit here for the last 6 years. I’ve never seen the place so organized and clean. Since Sarah started to here, everything changed for better.
