I recently used Public Storage and while I appreciate the newer facility, my experience was less than ideal. The access times are inconvenient compared to other public storage facilities. Additionally, the manager seems to have nothing better to do than to flex his authority and find ways to make things difficult for customers. On two occasions, I caught homeless people living in the facility who were clearly not authorized to be there. This raised concerns about the security of my belongings stored there. I would not recommend this facility due to the limited access to my items and the poor management by the manager who seems to be more interested in showing off his authority than providing good customer service. Overall, my experience with Public Storage was disappointing and I will be looking for other options in the future.

I rented a last-minute storage unit here after a bad breakup, and upon arrival, I realized the unit I rented was too small for me. The gentleman working at the storage (Roby) helped me select the appropriately sized storage unit for me and did all the paperwork to change my reservation. He calmed me down, helped me bring all my things inside, and assisted me in getting everything I needed into the new storage unit. The staff is polite, helpful, emotionally intelligent, and kind. The storage facility is clean, safe, and located in a great area of South Beach. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this Public Storage. My company rents two big units at this place. The guy that was working today on the morning shift (He told me he was a manager), was super rude and acted obnoxiously ignorant. Myself and a coworker arrived at 9:28am and we didn't know that they open at 9:30am. Since the codes didn't open the gate, I approached the big glass wall and knocked just to ask why this was not opening, this guy who was inside facing the glass ignored us during the 2 or 3 minutes we were trying to get his attention. At 9:31 he opened the door like no one was there waiting outside. He didn't even said good morning, he opened the door with a bad attitude and walked away. We were so shocked by his rudeness and attitude that I asked him to provide me with a Manager number to complaint, and he says that he was the manager. I will follow up with Corporate about this incident, I cant believe that a Manager can act this way with customers... there was no sense of service at all. Hopefully there are security cameras that recorded this incident and can be reviewed as a proof of what exactly a Manager should no act with a customer that arrives two minutes earlier than the opening hours. Hopefully this guy can be replaced with someone that truly cares about customer service and represents the values of the company.

Check your agreement! I am renting a 5x5 space in 2021 at the Public Storage in Miami. And they raised my rent in 2022 to 30% higher than it was the first year.

100% amazing experience, especially with 2 of the staff members. I cannot express enough thanks and gratitude for- Mike and Rob who work here. I practice gratitude daily always, but they both deserve way more than gratitude and thanks. On 2 occasions in a row they were truly my guardian angels. I’ve encountered a lot of good people in my life so far, but these 2 I can barely find words to use to express how truly kind and compassionate they are as staff here and also just as human beings. Only word that comes to my mind is my guardian angels. Thanks and gratitude don’t do it Mike and Rob, but I cannot express how much your assistance and dedication to my positive experience here means to me, especially during a challenging time in my life. Tony - who said he is the manager - is so rude, arrogant, he tried to beat me because i used the door i usually do. I used my code but he made me go out and bring the heavy stuff out to the entrance and go inside again. I’m a female with no help to carey the stuff but he enjoyed torture me. Worst experience

this place is magnifico , the location is good , the people are very friendly . i am very impressed with the quality of service.

Mike and Angie were very personable besides the fact that two customers before me in line were being rude and not cordial. The space itself is not the cleanest and also the codes to get into the building sometimes aren't used to get into the main gate at the parking lot and the main door. This makes me believe the security system isn't as safe as I thought it was.

Very disappointed with my first time with this Public Storage. I said I would be a couple of hours late. And the representative said if we made it before 6 we would be able to do the contact and load the storage unit. But by time we arrived there was a guy who was ready to leave work early. He kept watching the clock and suggested our small items wouldn't fit in the unit. He acted as if he was ready to leave and didn't want me to even do a contract. And asked if I wanted to cancel without hesitation. I'll try other storage facilities. You're customer service could use some work. Muy decepcionado con mi primera vez con este almacenamiento público. Dije que llegaría un par de horas tarde. Y el representante dijo que si lo hiciéramos antes de las 6 podríamos hacer el contacto y cargar la unidad de almacenamiento. Actuó como si estuviera listo para irse y no quisiera que hiciera un contrato. Y me preguntó si quería cancelar sin dudarlo. Probaré otras instalaciones de almacenamiento. I rented long time ago and this past week I tried to rent again and he said he couldn’t rented it. I thought something was wrong because he said he remembered me however he will not rent . I called customer service they said he made a mistake but it seems he feels is his home not a business and reading reviews I understand that he has several comments about the way he works. Mr James said he will check however I don’t understand why people like him make public storage loose customers and money. I been trying to contact ceo and at the moment seems everything stayed the same it may be good for investors if some one fix this issue.

This location is absolutely amazing. I went there to price some boxes. Tony showed me a box display and I noticed two prices on the price tag . He told me he had volume discounts ,I had not told him that I bought 25 boxes from a hardware store for $115.00 . He showed me the quantity I could get from him for the same price. Tony and Mike convinced me to return the other boxes and I end up with 50 boxes + packing paper for the same price. And they helped me load up my car. Price and quality service. I will definitely recommend this place.

Fantastic service, my family & I only need somewhere to store our cases for a few hours before going to the airport as my holiday rental apartment couldn't accommodate us & it worked out cheaper in the long run even though I could use the unit for a whole month. Tony was super helpful for us when we were cleaning out our storage unit that we rented for a great price for two years. The facility is clean and our experience was smooth and easy.

Are you having issues with your phones? I'm trying to call and it picks up and hangs up? It's happened multiple times.

By far this is the best customer service I’ve ever experienced in a storage facility, the place itself it’s clean, well maintained, perfect location for Miami Beach area. The stuff Tony and Raquel were extremely professional and helpful, so patiently explained everything and answered all my questions. Tony I believe is the manager, he has great sense of humor and is pleasant to speak with. Im highly recommending this place if you’re looking for safe storage units.

I needed storage for three months. The unit I rented was clean and rodent/roach free. Never saw one anywhere. The whole place is neat and clean and the staff were all very helpful, from rental to release of the unit. It was all eddortless. My only two complaints are I found the unit a little pricey, but for me it was worth it because of proximity to home. And the second which is not their fault is that in order to put the security code in to get in and out of the parking lot, one has to get out of the car. It would be nice if they would change to one where you can put the code in from the car. But I consider that minor. Would definitely rent here again.

It's really rare you find such great customer service at a storage facility. The folks up front great you with a huge smile and have great personalities. Always super helpful and when I finally ran into trouble (lost my keys) - they called the owner to help give me an exact time to return so the locks can be cut off. Well over and beyond what was expected. After an immediate phone call to the owner, I will return in the morning to meet them and have the locks cut off so we can resume working with NO TIME LOST. All stars!!

I reserve everything online, was given the option to fill out all the necessary information. I fill out all the extra information online so when I got there i will leave quicker. I met with Tony who was very professional, courteous and helpful too all my needs . Show me the place , purchase the necessary lock and key for the unit . I was in and out of the place in less than a few minutes. Place looks safe , modern and clean. Bathroom on site if you need one . Happy experience , looking forward to doing business with them .

Amazing place Rob and Tony get the job done

This place has terrible customer service, ive dealt with these ppl twice now & the 2nd time i had an emergency, booked an appointment for 5pm, got there at 5:30 & the place doesnt close until 6 & the older guy with thick glasses made no exceptions cuz he's lazy & he made it quite obvious he hates his job and hates people in general. I was polite & desperate for the unit that i had reserved at 1pm & that guy didnt care at all !!! I am still really upset about it, i never complain either. Please stay away from this storage unit.

The person I first talked to from public storage was very polite and helpful, however when I called the 1301 Dade blvd place where I would have been rent storage he straight up lied to me he claimed he tried to call my number that I know he didn't cause it was only 3 minutes ago I had received my conformation number and he told me that the locker wasn't available I would have to come by tomorrow. I won't be doing anything with that store he lied to me how can I trust him with my things!

After all the horrible experiences people were having, I notice the sudden spate of "five star" reviews...Fakes? I know so many people who've said this is actually the worst Public Storage facility and Tony Whiteside is well-known as a sociopath; has publicly harassed me and others in full view of the public and in general is terrible. The bathrooms are always "out of order"; the place is not kept clean. I've had my unit there for three years, always paid up. In July, I paid up July's invoice on the 5th, traveled out of town on July 21st to visit a friend I've known for forty years. It was a priority. It proved more expensive than I thought and put my budget out of whack. I notified Robby on August 3rd that AUGUST'S payment would be on August 20th instead of the 5th. At no time was I told that I would be locked out. These people have a deposit, AND have charged me a late fee of $20 already. They invoice you on the 13th of the month before for the next month! I went to drop off some things on August 14th (late by only 9 days), and was told I was locked out. That since the 7th is the cut-off date??? Once I was sitting using my computer, waiting for the unit to open when Tony came and said that waiting time was 10 minutes before, saying I could not "sit" on "his" property. This was after he showed me an empty space upstairs the property a few months before and evidently expected me to get on my knees and... After that, things changed and he started harassing me. I am consulting with CLASS ACTION attorneys since numerous people in South Beach have had problems with Tony Whiteside and, NATIONWIDE with Public Storage's unethical business practices. Stay tuned. I have witnesses and have filed with the State Attorney. Next stop, Better Business Bureau. This is just the beginning of their woes.

I first started using Public Storage here in Miami Beach. The manager, Tony, is a great guy and runs a great facility. He is very helpful and courteous. With Tony, the customer comes first, no nonsense, no tricky contracts or hidden costs. Trust Tony. He is the Man!

Tony and Robert are two of the nicest people I have ever met! I had never rented a storage unit before last week. I had twenty boxes shipped directly to the facility. They made everything so easy! I totally reccomend using this Public Storage facility - which BTW, is in the heart of South Beach. I promise you - you will love working with these two terrific gentlemen!

Roby and Tony were extremely professional and Uber-helpful... they were doing construction out front and they did everything they could to help out to assist in the move-in! Facility is clean (recently renovated) albeit smaller than most and hence demand is high! Highly recommend it!

Had an appointment with Tony who over the phone, told me the unit was 4x5. So I had all my boxes packed ready to stack in this 4x5 unit. Upon arriving he told us that the unit was height restricted. First time this was mentioned to me. So this totally ruined my plans because my boxes wouldn't fit in a tiny little locker. Plus it was never mentioned to me that the unit was a locker style and I needed to climb a ladder to get to the tiny space. Then once I got to actually see it I measured and the height wasn't even four feet high. Tony was nothing but rude to me and had nothing but attitude towards me, like he was offended I would dare measure his unit rather than trust his word (glad I did too since he lied about the measurements). Once I told him it wasn't going to work he stomped off to go check to see if there was a non height restricted unit and in the process reprimanded another customer for using too many carts when clearly the woman had a huge amount of stuff she was moving. I decided at that I wasn't going to deal with Tony's Napolean complex and I left. Ended up calling the public storage on 69th st and not only did they offer me the same size locker but with no height restriction but gave me a cheaper deal! Don't waste your time at this place.

I love the fact that this place is on the beach. The guys working are super nice and helpful, as i am sure you've read in the past 70 reviews. so lets just make a list of pros and cons: pro - location, cant beat it pro - staff , feel like family pro - climate control con - too many extra small size lockers in a place that can really use, and afford to pay for larger spaces. its only attracting vagrants. con - hours of operation are limited to 9:30 to 6pm ( ala Miami Beach Code ) i assume that its because of the homeless shelter that it was becoming. con - could use a few more cameras inside the place since they don't have any now.

This is the ONLY Storage my company and I use in South Beach and for good reason! Tony & Roby are incredibly helpful and have a passion for Storage. I have never been disappointed and trust their judgement! I am a customer for life!!!

My experience was great! Tony was very nice and helpful and made it easy to get moved in. The only suggestion I have has to do with the use of the carts. Getting them inside the automatic door with all of my stuff on it was a little tricky. There's a bump to get over and a few of my things fell off the cart. If that was made a little smoother than my experience their would have been 100% awesome. Other than that, great customer service. Thanks again Tony!

Tony was super helpful and friendly. He took his time and showed me what he had available. When I needed a space larger than his facility could provide, he was kind enough to set up an appointment for me at another location. That kind of service is hard to find in Dade County.

Anyone needs storage on the Beach? Public storage is the place to go. Rebecca and Tony there will take care of you. They are quick, efficient and very pleasant. The place is clean, the security is satisfying and best of all climate controlled.

I recently rented a 5x5 unit and my experience was very smooth. Everyone was really helpful and Rebecca really went the extra mile to make sure that I was a happy customer. I really feel my stuff safe there, their security system is almost too much. There is never a shortage of carts there (unlike some other locations) and the length of their business hours in adequate. And I was lucky enough to get a great deal online.

Everything excellent. Good Services and Professional. Rebecca explained everything to me, how it worked, what needed to be paid, etc etc. It gave me peave of mind understanding how a public storage works, what are the terms, payment etc. The storage is clean, access is easy! convenient parking! elevators, refrigeration, it makes it simple to rent space. You have your access code for garage door and elevator. So I give them a 5 strars.

If you want a storage in Miami beach, talk to Rebecca! it was nice to work with someone that can speak french and be so pleasant and smiling.

If you are going to pay the high prices of Public Storage in South Beach, please talk to Tony. As a person from America, it was nice to work with someone that can speak English. He actually understood the words that were coming out of my mouth. Second, he knew the answers to all of my questions. This is rare in South Beach. Third, he won't be rude to you. He won't ignore you when you are standing in front of him. He might even say sir or mam out of respect. The other employees? Forget about it! Talk to Tony. He is the man!

This location is convenient being in the heart of South Beach!!! Ariel goes out of his way to please the customers, very very helpful he even holds open the door for you. He's a True Gentleman. This guy has upper management written all over him. If you don't promote him soon, I'm going to steal him away from your company and hire him. ;-) Also I have had many encounters with Jeff and also like Ariel they lay out the RED CARPET for you. I also want to comment on your Biscayne Boulevard location while I'm reviewing your company. Employees at the Biscayne Blvd. location are extremely rude and you need to fix your elevator situation I got locked inside upstairs with no escape and was marooned for 3 hours and called 911 and they couldn't even get me out. I needed additional local information. Tony, the CSR that I spoke with was knowledgeable, patient and extremely helpful in versing me on numerous points that were important to making critical decisions and doing business with Public Storage. The CSR's at the national information center likewise, were very professional and helpful. I felt very comfortable and confident with my decision to use PUBLIC STORAGE for all my storage needs.

I love the Public Storage off Dade Blvd!!!!! Close and convenient and they had the size I needed! JC and Jacob are the most two most enjoyable employees I've ever had the pleasure of meeting at any PS or other facility! And I've rented plenty of storage units from PS and other storage facilities and they made my experience well worth it! They were both exceptionally knowledgeable of the promos, availability and costs. Filling about paperwork was a breeze and took very little time. My reservation online assured me that my unit would be available and the final transaction was easy as 1, 2, 3!!!
