Elevator and front door both do not work at this facility and the workers have even gone as far as to lock customers out of the building on purpose. Awaiting a call for the district manager for over a week and still no help. Elizabeth will go as far as to using your info to personally call and harass you as well. Do NOT rent from them.

I've been here 4 years and every 6 months they keep increasing the rent. It's not by 10 or 20 dollars, it's by 50 dollars every time. I am now paying way more than what they are leasing their new units for. Make it make sense.

This place keeps increasing the price by every year, i have a 5×10 and being charged 90 when i use to pay 48, then 68 , 78 now freaking $90 bucks each year. Disappointing. When online show for 5×10 for 43

I was given a phone call this morning about a reservation I made last night. The woman who called initially called did not introduce herself as someone who works for public storage she just said “Is this Jasmine” I responded by saying “who is this”. After she established she was calling about my reservation with them all I asked was a simple question which was “can the lock fee be removed if I bring my own lock.” She apparently did not understand my question and responds by saying “what lock” I explain to her I had a reservation that I made a week prior and the cost was $30 because the rep took the lock fee off. That reservation has expired so I was trying to see if I can get that same cost again. This woman then hands the phone off to Elizabeth her manager Elizabeth gets on the phone telling me I am upsetting the previous lady and if I don’t like what she is saying I can go rent a unit somewhere else. I then ask what is the attitude for when I just asked a simple question. I apologize and let her know in no way was I trying to upset the woman prior I just wanted to know if the lock fee can be removed if I brought my own lock. She continues to be rude continues to not be helpful. I asked her what is the owner or corporate number she then goes off telling me why would I report her simply because she isn’t bowing down to me and refuses to give me the number. Long story short I will not be renting here called extra space storage and was able to get a unit for $30 without the attitude and they understood a simple question. And if you need to report someone call the customer service number and they will make a report for the general manager.

Elevator ls always broken!
ELEVATOR TROUBLES : I was at 8:00PM with 23 + boxes on my karts at the lobby just ready to move in right on my second day of rental and the elevators were out of order. Nobody answered my calls, no stairs use available. I believe they should have another elevator or ways to get to others floors when this happens. If they don’t think to do anything on this matter they should at least send notification/alerts to notice the users.

Kind and friendly customer service, unfortunately they do not have any carts or casters or any type to move in/out stuff from storage and seem to have a roach infestation.

I was just in the office literally a little while ago and I seen a lady screaming and yelling at this poor manager Elizabeth for absolutely no reason and I might add this is not the first time that I’ve seen people going to this office and be so disgusting and disrespectful to these workers and nothing is done to these people they’re still allowed to be on the premises they are still allowed to keep their and this is not OK I’m so close to telling everyone of my family members to leave. I have five different family members that have storage units here, including my grandmother, which I was there for my grandmother’s account. And I’ve asked several workers. What happens why do I still see these people and they said that they’re giving second chances that is so disgusting that public storage feels like it’s OK to allow their employees to be abused and disrespected, shame on you public storage!!

The attendant we spoke with today by the name Krista was THE MOST HELPFUL and polite person I've EVER had the pleasure to work with at a public storage ever. She was so helpful and nice and respectful and I'm so glad I got her as the one in charge! Also this is one of the nicer public storages I've been to. Very clean and most all are climate controlled.

I came here early in the morning at 7:30 am to get some really important things from my unit. Supposedly, access hours are 6am-9pm. What am I paying for if I cannot access my belongings in storage during the hours posted? At the very least, accurate access hours should be posted so I can plan accordingly. I am extremely dissatisfied with this location.

I have never in my 32 years of life have experienced the level of professionalism that Liz and Daniel showed me today, they went above and beyond making my move as easy as possible they’re very knowledgeable in the product they’re offering and made sure to answer all my questions. This two individuals need to be considered for a higher position they have all the skills needed to take public storage to the next level. We the people not only want clean and state-of-the-art storage place(which this facility is very clean) but we also want people like Liz and Daniel to make sure the customers are happy and feel safe having their valuables in that storage location.

By far the worst customer service ever from Lizz (Elizabeth) I believe that was her name claiming she is the manager but has no management skills. Coming from a district manager (myself) I can see she has no respect for the customers and shouldn't be a manger overall . She stated ( well if you don't like it here you can get your stuff and leave) very unprofessional and not helpful at all mind you I only asked for the pin to the gate since I forgot it, been going there since July 2022 and never had a problem going in to check on my belongings. I pay my monthly fee every month and never missed a payment therefore I should be treated with respect.

I could give negative stars, I would. This place will dramatically increase your rent with very little notice. In my case, less than a months notice was given for rent increase from $18 a month to $45 a month for their smallest unit. And if you don't pay the increased rent? Get ready to have your stuff taken, because with liens filed, they can and will take your belongings in less than a month. With all the other COVID price gouging going on here lately, it is a shame to see this place jumping in on that bandwagon. But I simply don't know what else to call it. When you do an over 200% price increase going from $18 a month up to $45 a month… That's over two times increase in price. This for a tenant who was paying the $18 monthly price for years.
When contacted about this, their support replied (in part) :
“Thank you for contacting Public Storage about your rate increase.
Public Storage strives to provide you the best value in self-storage, and while we understand an increase in rent is never a welcome event, we believe our rates are still competitively priced.”
In regards to the over 2X increase in rent being “competitively priced”: I am moving my stuff to another storage facility right nearby in the City of South Houston, same size and only paying $25 a month for it. So you can take your “competitively priced” claim and stick it where the sun don’t shine.

Very clean. Easy access with Bluetooth on your phone you can open the gate. There's only two issues I have. One, there's not enough dolly for loading. Especially when others decide to use more than one dolly at a time. My other issue is actually two. Nowhere to put trash if you need to throw anything away and it's a hit & miss with the on-site restroom. Sometimes you get lucky and it's open with toiletpaper!

Great prices if you book online for a brand new local storage unit starting at $17 for a spacious 5x5. Don't be fooled by those figures they actually hold quite a bit of boxes as you can see I fit roughly 30 asst sized ones in my 5x5 and didn't even take up half on width or height. There are also carts that are readily available at the loading area right in front of the elevators which makes trips quick and easy. They even have water fountains and restrooms for you to use right as you enter. You get all the standard amenities like you are expecting such as climate control, auto lights, gated access with good hours and a lobby with all the supplies you would need at a moments notice. Now on to the things I feel it's important you know that I wish were advertised on the website along with the rental fee in large bold letters so that you aren't surprised during signing. 1. $24 admin fee, no clue what for, completely surprised here. 2. Insurance is required for every rental, no choice other than $11, $13, or $15 policies, 3. You must purchase a $19 lock to rent the unit, can't use your own, the benefit is you keep the lock and you are the only one with the keys. Other than that, the pros heavily outweigh the cons. $1 first months rent, great office hours and gate hours, individually generated gate codes for everyone so security is tight with round the clock security cameras everywhere inside and out. Signing up was super easy all on touch screen tablet and all documents emailed so no paperwork. Akira was a pleasure to work with and made choosing size and showing of unit and process a breeze, all in all I highly recommend after comparing to at least 10 other storage options in the Pasadena and surrounding area.
*MUCH NEEDED UPDATE*-3/12/22
Ok so for starters, prices have gone up, as they have with everything everywhere. But the most important thing to know here is that no matter what introductory price you lock in when you first move in, you can guarantee that it will change. It happens every single year. No warning, you just get the increase on your bill and then a letter in mail saying "hey your bill is going up" no reason given of course.
Next up when the place first opened the 4 carts available were great, now not so much. No matter the time of day you arrive which is the worst on weekends and anytime after 5pm on weekdays you will never find a cart now. Somebody stole one and if they aren't hiding them in their unit then 1 person is using 2 carts at the same time and do not care even if they see you waiting outside.
As far as the insurance, the way around it is to just order your unit online and decline coverage to avoid being forced to pay for it in person when you are told it's mandatory.
Next, buy a really good disc lock or 2 or 3 because there have been break ins and you can get robbed.
Then the bathrooms are either locked or not working. Good luck with that.
Bottom line is that it's not the building or management that's at fault really, it's just the clientele and area. This city and area has and always will be hood and it's only getting worse. Find a storage unit closer to Pearland for a better experience, better service and so you can feel safe leaving your belongings.
But if you have to do business here, go early mornings, and buy your own dolly, hand truck, 2 wheeler. Keep it in your unit or get a collapsible one because I've waited over 45 mins for a cart and I've also left tons of times knowing I was never going to get a cart.
The manager Liz, and her employee Josh are both really helpful and really friendly people. They do a great job running the property and I would highly recommend their location.
