I have used local storage facilities in the past and without a doubt, I will only use Public Storage at 13391 Custer Rd in McKinney going forward. Besides being well maintained, the biggest differentiator was the staff. Jody was so personable and helped me find the best solution for my needs - I truly felt like a valued customer. Throughout the day I saw Jody walking the property, making sure everyone was good and cleaning /prepping empty units - very conscientious! I also talked to Rachel several times when I called in and she was extremely pleasant and helpful.
I was told about the renovation in my section of the storage facility. I had to relocate. Jody made the move painless! Thank you!! Public Storage is lucky to have such a good employee!!

Set up space online. I needed help getting to a space I could use. Jody, lady at site was very helpful in showing how to access and set up my account. It took a bit of processing to get exactly what space we needed. She was very polite and I am very thankful for the help.
We have had our storage unit here for 8 years. Kids college dorm rooms, apartment moves in and outs, and forever home downsizing. Public storage McKinney has served us well over these years! I had rented 5x5 storage unit, when i got to the storage unit, i realized it is only 4.5x4.5. Even though it is not a big difference, I was counting on that extra space for my dryer and washer to fit in there. I reached out to property management, Jody and Angela were very helpful and were able to help me and accommodate for me to fit all mu stuff.
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received at your facility on moving day. Two of the elevators were broken, which caused a significant delay for my movers and resulted in me having to pay them twice the amount I had originally budgeted.
The individual at the front desk, who had frosted tips in her hair, was unhelpful and rude. She initially blamed me for the broken elevators and then, when I questioned her, she said that "people like us" were to blame. I am not sure why she didn’t just apologize for any delay and inform me that help was coming.
This experience has been extremely frustrating and inconvenient, and I would not recommend your facility to anyone. There are several other storage facilities in the area that I would recommend trying instead.

I've had my space 4 1/2 months and they are already raising my rent $50 on the six month anniversary. Greedy, greedy, greedy company! I will be removing my stuff as soon as I am able. Jody has been very helpful in reducing the rate for 3 more months. Apparently corporate makes the decisions. So shame on corporate greed!

I stopped by Public Storage to finalize my rental agreement and Rachel was extremely helpful. She showed me my unit and walked me out to show me where to come when I return with my belongings. Everything was explained in detail and I appreciate her answering my questions. Overall this was a smooth process.
Jody (the manager) and the entire staff at this location are amazing. Super friendly, very helpful, and incredibly accommodating. When I arrived on my move-in date to check out the unit that I booked, I asked for a unit closer to the elevator and they were happy to swap it out for a closer one. I also spotted an issue with the rate on my rental agreement, which was really just a system error, and Jody took care of it right away. The facility is great as well!

Rented a unit with Aiden!! Spoke to him first over the phone and got a sense as someone who wants your business.He is knowledgeable, customer oriented and thoroughly professional. Answered all questions, and made the entire process go smooth.
Located at Custer Rd and Westridge Blvd, this location is convenient and close to all amenities like UPS, FedEx, Kroger, Home Depot and HEB.
Would recommend this location as long as Aiden is there.
I have mixed experience: the personnel at 13391 Custer is awesome although I am disappointed in the corporate policies.
The good: Brandi at the front desk was so helpful and went out of her way to help me. She took her time making sure I understood everything and gave me very helpful options to deal with my situation. I’d love to have someone as friendly and customer-centric as her work for me. And I’d love to interact with more customer-facing people like her.
The bad: long term rental users are taken advantage of the most by corporate policy (which I understand is set by corporate headquarter and not by the individual managers such as Brandi). Long term customers are not rewarded but the opposite instead happens.
My rent over the course of two years and a half years more than doubled. Yet when I look at the rent of a new user it’s 1/3rd of what I pay. So while the rent of new users decreased over the two and a half years, the rent of a long term customer doubled. They take advantage of the hassle of moving for long term rental users to increase their rent periodically. I’m now aware that is likely an industry wide situation and not just Public Storage.
Fortunately, there is a solution: Move facility storage every year or two to become a new user on a regular basis. It does mean extra expenses in time (moving yourself) or money (hiring a crew). So in the end, the only way to deal with outrageous price increases is by playing their game.
Brandi is absolutely amazing. She is the epitome of a customer service representative. It was so great speaking with her on the phone and I was so excited when I when arrived to the property and met her. She is a bundle of joy. I love that she was so approachable. She was soft spoken, personable and everyone seems to gravitate toward her. Definitely visit this Public Storage location. It is the best. I love the customer service here. This is how we should be treated. Public Storage, give Brandi a raise!

Wow, I’ve had my storage booked for over a year and some change. This location prides itself on ease of use, cleanliness and convenience. I luckily secured a new house with my fiancé, and cancelled my storage. Brandi was on lunch but still took it upon herself to get out of her car, and get my cancellation handled in minutes so I could get to my appointment. Outstanding customer service and loyalty, thank you! Will use this location again if ever needed :)

I can't say enough positive things about the customer service I received tonight. I was in a difficult situation when I was unable to turn around with my trailer because the exit gate was inoperable. While Ashley was out doing rounds, she went way above and beyond to ensure I successfully backed out of the facility without issue. I don't think I would have been able to do that without her help! As a manager of many, I understand the value of having employees who really care about the customer's experience. I never post comments, but this was an experience that absolutely deserved praise! Instead of having a bitter customer for being stuck, Ashley was able to flip this situation into a very different outcome!
My daughter and I were struggling unloading in the rain and ASHLEY was a super star! She showed us a couple of tricks to get the job done quicker!! Great location with great staff.

Clean and easy access
I took a tour of the property and got a call from the customer service person. Her name was Tia she was very courteous and helpful. Although I did not go with that public storage and went with a Storage coming out closer to My Home if I had moved where I was going to move, I would’ve went with them because the facility was very clean and easy to maneuver so therefore I will give them five stars because customer service was great. The facility was clean and it seems well organized.

What a great experience here today! Tish and Tia were nothing short of amazing. There were a few hiccups when first setting up my reservation and I ended up having to wait for a bit of time to gain access to the site. After moving things at home all day, I was tired and grumpy and was irritated about having to wait but Tish and Tia were so kind and understanding. They were apologetic and gracious. By the time the transaction was finished, Tish and I were laughing and exchanging stories. Best of all, our exchange was a good reminder of putting things into perspective. And then I realized how embarrassed I was for overreacting to something so small in the bigger picture. So far my experience with Public Storage has been amazing. Tia called me to ensure I had reserved what I needed and helped me find the drive-up 10x30 that I needed plus two 10x20 climate controlled units! Moving a large house is stressful and she made it easy! The online prices were better than every other place I checked.

I love this place. it’s always clean and there is always a cart available to use. The staff there are super helpful. Allen, Cho and Bryan are the best. They help me with all of my storage needs and answered all of my questions. They made my experience there a breeze and whenever I need a storage unit though I live in McKinney I will always come to the Frisco public storage location.
TISH WAS AMAZING! Wow! First time buying a storage unit, definitely not the last! Im not trusting any other location or company to rent a storage unit with. She was absolutely amazing, she was caring, informational, helpful, trustworthy and extremely funny! She better get a promotion, she unquestionably deserves it! Thank you Tish for everything!

Latasha was instrumental in assisting me (long-time client) w a rate reduction after receiving a ridiculous increase from last month-the 4th increase in 36 months. I understand & accept rate hikes … but this most recent increase was OVER THE TOP at 31%!
She goes the extra mile to make sure her clients are happy … escalating my situation to the highest level, ultimately landing a hold on the rate increase. Truly felt she was on my side.

Stopped by Public Storage to rent a unit and LaTasha was so awesome in explaining all the procedures,walked me through everything, thoroughly took me through the process of entering the codes etc...She was so pleasant to talk to and do business with. I'm happy about my decision to rent there.
Updating my review to 4 stars because the new manager , Latosha. She addressed my issue promptly and directly! I've only had one issue with Public storage and it was with the MAJOR rate hikes. I do realize that EVERYTHING is going up but these last two pushed me over the edge. Im very pleased with the outcome however, thank you.
I had to change storage spaces last minute & Latasha was amazing! she was so helpful with everything & answered any questions that I had! this storage is very clean & well kept. I will definitely keep using them in the future
This location is GREAT. The property is really well taken care of. We dropped by without appointment to look at a space and everything was really clean and organized. Latasha made the rental process so quick and easy to understand. She took the time to explain all the important details of our agreement with us and even called out a few security and convenience measures we needed to consider. She really went above and beyond for our service. I love how locked down this place is too- personal passcodes at multiple spots along the way. Made us feel comfortable that our belongings were secured. Move-in day was a breeze thanks to all the nearby parking, wide walkways, and all the on-site carts we used to haul heavy items in.

The most horrible property manger ever . I tried to down load to a smaller unit , told me I had to pay a transfer fee, an administrator fee and make appointment , then told me her name was Pam very hesitant to tell me.? Moving forward it was all a lie except make appointment,could not tell me how much each one was I had to come inn. I call customer service Amanda not sure if she was area manager are what ? She sad no i well lakiesha says when I call she came from another store to wait for me, which was a lie ,lakiesha didn’t know Haleigh told me she was the property manager, and

Kevin is a thief. He cut my lock on my unit. Claims I was in auction status. I wasn’t. I called corporate they stated my account has never been in auction status. He also lied and said I don’t have voicemail on my phone. But I have a voicemail from him stating he cut my lock. After several attempts to contact him. I finally spoke with him. He now claims my storage lock was cut in January but I’ve been to my storage several times since. What happen is he went through my until. He saw something he wanted. Now he’s trying to steal it. He is very unprofessional. Never in the building never answers the phone.
