I'm so sorry but someone Gerald or his staff or the inventory people are shady not once not twice but 3 times someone has stolen almost everything I had in there $1000 speakers and chainsaws lawnmowers computers and laptops new couponed off store stuff i bet 5000 worth of yard sale stuff among 100 other things and yes I considered moving but my health and money has been available nor the help to get it all moved out from there i have had no trouble with public storage for 12 yrs until I moved to this location complete crap file a insurance claim bull crap you won't get a penny unless you have a reciept for all of it.. I was tricked into getting a bigger space than I needed and was viciously tricked as the rent increased without anyone telling me. I never would have gotten that unit if it was going to be that expensive. Not to mention my possessions ended up moldy and smelling terrible when exposed to the air and I had to throw those things out. The worst part is I've been complaining for 2 and a half years and not once has anyone at any level of public storage ever responded to my complaints. Just steal your money and get away with it.

bad condition of the place, I was locked in the elevator for more than 45 minutes No one answered the phone in the office and they never came to take us out of the elevator, the doors opened by themselves after all that time.

Edited: i’m giving 2stars since I like their service initially; however, their prices kept going up and yet i wasn’t being notified. I didn’t mind at first because my friend said it was normal and it was only a few dollars. My $51 monthly 5x10 went up to $102 within the span of 8months. I requested for them to give me a call initially if i can downsize since i moved some of the stuff out already anyways because of the first increase but they said that was the cheapest available and didn’t have any small ones available but will let me know if they can find one cheaper. I just looked them up on google as i’m writing this and they are offering the same space with the same conditions as mine for $70, how is that possible?
I’m moving my stuff out as soon as I can and just putting it to a different storage unit at this rate. I would have appreciated some honesty and transparency from a business that I was confident recommending to friends, but never again.

First time storage renter here and I’m glad I went with Public Storage!
At first, I did the reservation online but I wasn’t able to come so I tried setting up another reservation online however, for some reason, it wasn’t letting me do another so I called and they were not very helpful. So I decided to go to the physical location which unfortunately they only do by appointment so i had to call again to set it up another day which was frustrating but the day of my appointment an employee, Coco, assisted me in getting another reservation set and she also pointed out that I was reserving the wrong storage unit compared to what I wanted so thank goodness I came in person. She was amazing and explained the process well. So I recommend you make an appointment to come in person especially if you are a first time renter like me!
Coco had me all set up for the move-in. I just needed to make the payment online for me to be able to finalize everything but unfortunately they were having technical issues. So they instructed me to come in person to make the payment for the unit. I had called the property manager, Gerald, and informed him I was coming over and he was very accommodating. When I arrived, he welcomed me and was very nice and and directed me to my unit while answering any questions I had.
I may have had a bad experience thru the phone and online but with the service they provided in person it definitely was worth giving a second try .

Everything I had in the open air of the unit got mold all over it. Allen Nemo's review nailed it. It's a scam. They jack the rent up by a huge amount without informing you. Tracie said that in their review - keep raising the rent arbitrarily. They ignore 2 years of complaints. I lost so much money, I will NEVER EVER put trust in the Public Storage brand again. I was cheated so badly out of so much money without being told. This place stinks.

Everything I had in the open air of the unit ended up with mold all over it. I got charged way more than I was expecting. They got the rates wrong or increased the costs without telling me. Either way I ended up with moldy books and I lost tons more money than I expected. And on top of that over and over I point out the problems and the location ignores me, the bosses ignore me. I've complained through email and Facebook messenger and everything else. They don't care. I never would've gotten that big a unit if the price was accurate. And never would go with this brand if I knew how little they care.
The rent they lure you in with is a lie. I went from $127 -> $197. Here's how (i.e. don't trust their listed prices):
Public storage likes to use "teaser rates" the first 3 months. After that, they jack up the price. My 10'x10' unit was listed for $127/mo. After 3-4 months, it was jacked up to $164. Because I didn't have many options at the time, I didn't move.
Here we are, 2 years and 2 months of on-time direct deposit payments. How do they reward loyalty? By jacking up the price to $197, of course, and adding some useless insurance. Did they warn me at all of a price change? NO. Email header had no details on the increase. You have to LOOK INSIDE to see changes.
Not only this, the last review I made for this place wasn't made by me. An employee literally took the phone out of my hand and added his own review. I was so shocked at his boldness I didn't do anything, lest I fear retaliation.
Word to the wise: don't use public storage more than 2 months. You will be guaranteed a 30% increase in rent once you're nice and settled, and they will not inform you, but simply quietly keep billing.
Their newest money grab? If you get behind, they'll charge you a $50 deposit for their "Combination Lock Deposit" which "will be refunded once your account is brought current and you return our lock to us."
Don't expect to have any control over the leasing terms with Public Storage. Their "genius" execs will introduce all kinds of fees with little fanfare. Meanwhile, their doors keep on being broken and all kinds of homeless people are walking back and forth through the property day and night. I hope these people are safe and find what they need and take advantage of this horrible, faceless company that has zero compassion when people have tough times.

Unit got the lock cut off and broken into and I got robbed.
Homeless people sleeping in facility. Much more expensive than other places. They arbitrarily raise the price A LOT. Smells like urine.

Easy to access and I really love the app. Having that in your pocket to gain access to the gate as doors without having to type in a code every single time is a game changer. Prices are pretty darn affordable as well. My only complaint is why they barely have the air conditioner running in the climate controlled storage area especially in 110° Austin heat. I would bet it was about 87° -90° degrees inside the climate controlled warehouse which is ridiculous in my. If you're paying for climate-controlled then the climate should be controlled in all aspects. Not to mention rhy toes of customers valuables can't handle being stored in those types of conditions.
The journal the customer service associate we dealt with was very professional, and it's made our stay with you all very easy. Even though we've been behind, we haven't been in dangerous losing our stuff because you're on top of calling us and make it sure we know so we really appreciate it and I wouldn't go anywhere else for storage, right?

Coco and Gerald are amazing! We had to deal with a change of plans and ended up needing storage last minute. Gerald walked us around the entire facility and we were able to get the units we needed. Coco helped us sign up on site and made it Elbert easy for us. Both individuals were so friendly and helpful. This facility is clean and secure and based on my experience this far, I would highly recommend it!
Gerald was so helpful and accommodating. He worked with us and our moving company to make sure we were taken care of when we unexpectedly had to find a storage facility on short notice. I highly recommend this location.

This is the worst place to rent a space from. I've had a 5x10 unit since 3/23 and paying $74/month. Rent is going up to $115/month after only 5 months. Today, 8/3, I went to the facility and tried to gain access in my "designated" entry doors and 1 elevator was broken (no sign) and the other elevator didn't work and I was trapped inside it for about 7-8 minutes. I called the office 3 times and no answer so I had no choice but to push the 911 call button and when they finally answered after 3 minutes I was advised on how to open the door by holding the 1 button for 10 seconds and that opened the door. I walked to the office and as usual the doors were locked and nobody was there. This has happened at least 4 or 5 times since I have been renting a space at this location. I explained to Gerald what happened and I asked if he could open the doors to the other entry access so I could get into my storage unit as my app only allows me access to a particular entry point. Gerald flat out told me he did not have access to open those doors for me and that I would have to use the stairs. My unit is on the 3rd floor and what I needed to move out would have taken 3-4 trips up and down the stairs and into my car including something that weighs roughly 100lbs. I explained that to him and he didn't care. Surely the employees and manager have complete access to gain entry through every door on the property and while I was nothing but nice to Gerald, I personally believe he made a decision not to help me because he was in a position of power and used it. This is my opinion and what I believe because he could have easily opened the door for me and allowed me to use an elevator that worked and he refused. Additionally, 2 or 3 times that I have been there to move something into or out of my unit, the office has been locked and nobody was there to give me a key to unlock the push carts. This location is poorly run and people should read this review and take it seriously and stay away from this location and all Public Storage facilities. I will be moving my things out in the coming days now that my house is ready to move into on 8/15 but this experience with this location has been horrible.
