Great location. Just what I needed. The online platform was perfect for when I needed to get the unit. Even without meeting someone upfront, Cynthia the one I believe runs the location. If she doesn't she should! Well she was present, introduced her self and brought a real sense of safety to the property and let me know it was well looked after. Review is based on my initial experience. So far, not great.
First, as you probably expect the $1 for the first month ends up being about $50+ for the first month after adding fees for their proprietary lock, admin fee, and taxes. So, not $1 for the first month.
Second, beware what you get if you don't pick out the unit in person. I did everything online for convenience and got there to find that a 1st floor unit was 3 feet off the ground. So, the dolly that I was using to move my stuff was basically useless. At least I brought help as I couldn't have lifted a couple of larger items into the unit alone.
Third, the unit had visible oil stains and a few spots still wet and sticky with oil from the previous person. The manager swept it out but said he couldn't do anything further about the oil. Luckily, I was able to arrange my things around the spots.
Finally, pay attention to the insurance that they automatically add to your account. The charge for this doesn't kick in until the first of the next month but be aware that it is there and that you have to act to remove it as it gets added by default.
Oh, I almost forgot to mention, that I was offered a different unit for double the price.
The staff was very courteous and helpful.

I am no longer at this public storage. The only employee that keeped the place cleaned whom was the on-site manager was fired. She was replaced by a black female employee whom sits in the office closet, out of the cameras view and will be on her phone. She does no sweeping nor mopping because ,as she told me in passing" it's to hot,these people don't realize how hot it is out here."
I had called the corporate office in order to complain about the fact that the place was dirty and was told by the person I spoke to on the phone that she would email the office. After speaking to the corporate office I went to the office and found the black female employee in the closet on her phone out of the cameras view. I asked her if she received an email. She said "no" and asked me " why, was I suppose to" ? I replied that "yes, the corporate office is supposed to email you about the dirtiness in the storage hallway." She told me that she wished I hadn't done that ( call the corporate office) be ause she could get in trouble.
Needless to say, not to long after that I found an eviction notice signed by a Jordan Smith informing me that I had until such and such date to vacate my unit. The only reason given on this notice was that I was being evicted "for cause". Now when I first asked this same black female employee what reason there could be for the notice. She informed me that it was because I was smoking in the unit. I told her that I do not smoke cigarettes.
The second time I asked her what was the "for cause" of the eviction notice. She informed me that it was because I had left a bag of trash and a bottle of urine in the hallway. I replied that that was not true and that we could go to my storage and I would show her that my trash was properly stored in my storage. The very next day, when I arrived at my storage unit I found a bottle of urine sitting right in front of my door! Fortunately I had arrived at the same time as another renter in my same storage unit and she saw the bottle of urine sitting there when I opened the front entrance door into the hallway.
This was strictly a retaliatory response to my complaint and which was condoned by this Jordan Smith whom as I am to understand is the area manager.
Well, this Jordan Smith must know that he has a black renter in one of the front storages that sleeps there which is against the public storage policies.
I would not refer ANYONE to this public storage nor the public storage up the road.
The lady whom was the on- site manager and whom was fired for some reason or other, was the only one that keeped that place clean. Her replacement, this black woman was not keeping the place clean because like she told me," it's to hot".

I would highly recommend this facility to any and all that are looking for a storage unit. It's safe, clean,and the staff is top notch, I was assisted by Shelli and I was very happy with the service I received and the unit I have now is larger and less expensive than the one I moved out of.

She keeps the space very clean and she's very professional while still being personable. Even though it's my first time renting out a storage unit I'll definitely consider coming back if I ever need one again just so I can have the peace of mind knowing she's the one caring for the space.
