This place is absolutely unreal. There’s never anyone on site and my price has gone up four times in 15 months. Absolutely ridiculous. Every month there’s a new hidden fee. A 10 x 10 space should not cost over $200 a month

Beware: The first day that I came to rent a storage unit from this facility, everything was great, and the lady working the property was extremely nice. Things really went downhill after that. There was never anybody on site when I would stop to speak to somebody after my first day signing up. They were short staffed and splitting days between other facilities. My online account was messed up and would never let me login. I called to get it fixed and they would transfer me to the IT department and the IT department would tell me that it would be fixed and to log back in, but it would never let me. Then you'd have to get back on the telephone with them and do it all over again. It kept saying I had a technical error. My credit card got shut off and needed to update my payment but it was too late. My storage unit was auctioned off and it had my life in there. I'm completely devastated mentally and financially from it all. I only owed maybe $300 and there was thousands of dollars worth of stuff in the storage unit. They will not give you any additional money that they made off of your unit for selling all your stuff. It was a complete loss for me and my family. Avoid the hassle and go up the street to Stor All Pisgah because they have been so easy to deal with and you don't have to jump through hoops to reach someone. This company really needs to get their system together to prevent this from happening to someone else. This place does not care and their copy and paste response to every complaint proves it. I was unable to get any of my personal paperwork and family pictures or memories back. I feel like my house has been burnt down.

I was with a friend that rented a unit here. Talicia was simply AMAZING. She rented us the right size unit for a fabulous price. We got a 5 x 10 unit, leaving us only having to pay a little over $200 for a years worth rent with the Fall Sale (we paid in advance). SIMPLY AMAZING. The property is extremely clean and even after renting us the unit, Tee was non stop helping others that needed assistance while cleaning units and the property AND had to go to another property down the street to do the same. She is a rare a Gem. Thank you Tee for being so professional and knowing your job so well. We are very happy

The security gate has been broken for the last 4-5 days… I am 70 years old, I went to my storage unit and could not get in because people we’re having their cars worked on in front of my unit. I called to manager Gwen to complain and she said that people were allowed to do whatever they wanted to do at their unit… which is right next to mine! I said this is no secure. She said we just need to all get along. Also called corporate. As of today Gate is still broke. Will be moving out by end of month. Customer service is horrible

I would like to point out Gwen on Kemper is a hard worker. Her customer service skills are fanaminal!! She takes pride in her work for sure. It's nice to come across people that treat you with dignity and respect and not pass judgement. I'm so thankful I chose this particular storage for my unit because it has been nothing but a great experience.

I feel totally scammed in this situation. I rented with public storage for about a year and half. Over the year and a half my rent increased over 100.00 a month. When I scheduled a move out on the APP it told me to stop in the office after removing the lock to receive a refund for the time I did not use. It is charged on a month to month basis. I ended up moving out 5-6 days before I was scheduled to move out. When I moved out I stopped in the office and spoke with a woman and let her know that I swept the unit and all of my items were out. She closed me out and handed me a receipt stating that I owed nothing. I explained what I was told on the app and that I should be receiving some of the rent back since I was not staying there the entire month and there are 18 days left in May. She explained that she didn't know about that, to call customer service, and that if they did do that they would send a check and it would come from California. I contacted the customer service line a few hours later. She told me that they do not prorate move outs. I explained what it said when I scheduled the move out and she still said that they do not prorate move outs. IF I wasn't told this then I would have kept my stuff in there until May 31st since I was paying for a full month! I moved out 7 days earlier than I said I was going to. I feel like I was totally taken advantage of and the App move out process needs to be updated to not state that.

Just met one of the coolest down to earth people her name is Ms Gwen very hospitable she went out her way to assist me when she didn't have to didn't know me for 2 minutes and was already offering me a beverage I love that about people like that we need more of those types of people 😀 😇👏🏿

Terrible experience. The lot is not maintained. When there is snow and ice on the ground they do not salt. There is trash everywhere. There is not People in the office to help you. I fell twice on their lot and when I called to explain I was having trouble getting out of the gate on time and fell while I was on the phone the customer service lady told me well you better hurry because the gates lock at 9. Sure enough it locked me in the unit and then the next lady on the phone wanted me to get out of my car on their slippery lot to get my licence plate Number before she would let me out of the lot despite my extremely bruised knees and side. Absolutely absurd. Not worth 300 a month.

The property manager, Gwen, was super helpful and friendly when we rented the unit, but it went downhill from there. The lock she sold us had the key break in it the very next day and she would not refund our money or replace the lock. This is extremely poor customer service. When I said as much, she began shouting at me. I asked for a number to call for Public Storage customer service and she refused to give me one saying she “didn’t know.” However, I saw a sign on the counter with the number and ended up calling that number. The person I spoke with issued a credit to my account and said the property manager could have done the same.
This property is supposed to be secured and you need a gate code to enter, HOWEVER, in one month the only time the gate was ever closed was on the day we rented the unit. What is the point of having a secured property if it is NEVER secured?
We decided that we wanted to move out less than a month after renting the unit because of all the problems. I tried to go to the property to close out my rental but the property manager was out to lunch and was supposed to be back at 2pm. When I can back an hour later she still wasn’t there and when I called the number listed on the sign, it just went to a voicemail that wasn’t set up so you couldn’t even leave a message. I had to call the customer service number again to close out my account.
Unfortunately, I had prepaid for two months so am due a refund of my second month, which the person on the customer service line said would take 6-8 weeks to refund me! That’s absolutely outrageous as they’ve already had my money for a month and now won’t refund me for another two months? I should be due interest on my money for that length of time.
I DO NOT recommend renting at Public Storage and especially don’t recommend the property at 3677 E Kemper Rd. And if you do rent from them, just make sure you bring your own lock.
If I could put six stars I would, gwen was absolutely amazing today. Helped me save money on purchasing the correct size unit for the items I needed, extremely knowledgeable & friendly. I’m a very happy new loyal customer. I will definitely refer friends to come to this location.
This property is an excellent storage facility to rent a unit, the manager Gwen is super nice and helpful to all her customers needs I would highly recommend this facility to others....👍
