Just minutes from the heart of Yonkers, this Public Storage facility near downtown is a great place to store extra furniture and countless other home and office belongings between moves or for keeping items longer term when space runs out. Getting here is a piece of cake thanks to a variety of main routes, including 9A, 9, the 87 highway, and Saw Mill River Road. All the restaurants, entertainment and trains of downtown Yonkers are just a short drive or bus ride away, too.

Ulda is wonderful... and if I was rating her she would get a 5 and a promotion. However I am rating the facility. Last summer my husband passed out loading things in the storage. This summer nothing has changed. The heat inside is UNBEARABLE as there is no AC or climate control. I have my 3 unit with them for under a year and it is $346 for a 10 × 10um unit.... OUTRAGEOUS!!! units are very poor condition ESPECIALLY with MOUSE droppings all over my unit... no food item obviously, just furniture! There is no form of customer loyalty either. Despite being a loyal customer... there is no loyalty for you. Most businesses forget that customer satisfaction is very important. I am not asking for free things... but appreciate the customers so they can spread kind words and improve sales.
Everything is great until u are forced to make an insurance claim. They pay you nothing for your items

THE ONLY PROBLEM AND DISSATIFIED WAS THE CART TO CARRIAGE YOUR STUFF. ITS ONLY ONE ON THE FIRST FLOOR AND VERY DIFFICULT TO MANAGE OR CARRY MUST BE FIX IT OR GET ANOTHER ONE, I EXPLAINED ALREADY TO THE PERSON IN CHARGE, ALSO DID NOT EXPLAIN AT THE BEGINNING THAT IS NOT ONLY ONE 1 DOLLAR BUT YOU MUST PAID PROREATEED OF THE MONTHS AND ALSO MANDATORY THE INSURANCE
The instructions were clear and the facilities were clean. Mr Heriberto, who assisted us from the office, was most courteous and professional. All in all a really good experience.

I closed out a unit within 24 hrs. They told me I was going to get a refund within 5 days. And now customer service said I'm not getting a refund $200 down the drain. And I was with them for 2 years and no exceptions she told me.
This place is the worst. You call them l!! they hang up the phone. you call them 20 times and they’ll hang up the phone or send you to voicemail. there never anybody at the location. The door will Have a sign that says open, but the doors are locked. I don’t know if people don’t want to work there or they go on long breaks or what the case is!! But whoever the owner is, you should put your workers on check. Nobody wants to answer the phone and the place is closed during working hours.

Abita expensive but it's more cheaper then extra space storage.
My unit was filthy when I moved in. I was also charged for 2 days even though it was advertised as $1 for the first month (my move in date was 11/30). Also if you can't get there between the hours of 6am and 9pm forget about it.

By far the WORST place to go! I was given a reservation at 10am and it was explained to me on a recorded line that prices will be the same for life of the unit. When I get there to finalize the rental, I'm given different information and the store manager (as she calls herself) does nothing more. I called the customer service line in the store and they also tell me prices will go up in 6 months. They should honor what they told me since that's what got me into the store. It seems when they get you in the store they try and trap you with this false information! Both customer service and the store manager didn't want to do anything to accommodate the customer and what they promised. The store manager dat at the founter the entore time on her phone and acted like she didny want to be there. So I ended up walking out with no unit. 100% unacceptable customer service! Don't waste your your time here! Very incompetent customer service and staff!!

I visited the place of 400 nepperhan avenue and it wasn't a great experience that was very rude and obnoxious there was one heavyset brown skin lady that seem to be really nice to help out outside of that there was a guy with a bunch of piercings in his lip that was very disrespectful and rude and I'll notify them immediately. How can you tell someone that they can't spend more than 4 hours for unit that they paid 6 months for it's absolutely insane! Whoever that gentleman is needs to be fired 400 nepperhan has the worst service ever in the history of Yonkers!

My storage unit was filthy when I moved in.
The facility is run down and not clean. I reserved a 8'×10' unit and my unit was actually 5'5"×12, 80 cu. ft. smaller than I reserved and paid for. Public Storage still charged me for the larger unit they did not give me and has been impossible to get in contact with.

Worst place wanted to change me for other months when I canceled 1 day late just one I called everyone and nobody helped the escalating Department, corporate nobody helps I've even told them to only charge me half of the entire payment not even that they just in it for the money they don't care at all I would understand if I canceled 1 day late but I only canceled 2 or 3 or 4 day late because I couldn't access the unit after 9:00. I had to cancel the next day I had to go upstairs to get my 🔐 🔒 lock duh I'm going to go upstairs before going to go cancel now I gotta pay 180 for a whole other month for nothing and by the way it's not the facility itself is there rental agreement policy that don't have anyway of managers to be able to fix this problem inconsiderate storage company

I came to the storage place today and was greatly disappointed by a young man who had peircings on his mouth. His mannerism was very poor and his tone was absolutely horrible. It wasn't until Alda/Ulda walked in. Her mannerism and respect was to the ultimate highest level ever. She throughly explained the rules and regulations and how they had to implemented. He should never stay employed there if his unprofessionalism continues with his nasty attitude. Keep up the good work Ulda
I went over to Public Storage knowing nothing at all about how everything worked, was anxious. I then spoke with Angel. He takes care of the customer by educating, providing the benefit and then discussing with the client your choices and variety of payment plan . Angel let's you know your stuff will be as safe as home. You will feel good as about your choice. Angel is also respectful and an excellent multi tasker by responding to many clients at what seems to this observer simultaneously!

U really think the policies are a rip off and grossly unfair. You charging me $147. 76 to hold my stuff for one week?? I cancelled a unit and u are telling me bull about charging me $29.00 something for what????? Moving can be stressful and you ppl makes it worse! I would neverrrrrrrr recommend you to any one

I had a great experience today with Ulda today. I only came into pay my bill and to possibly get a lower rate. She showed how i could down size my space with just reorganizing how I packed my space which was super helpful. I will be switching spaces next month to get that lower rate

After paying my rent for a yr or so they decided to tell me they goin to raise my rent about $50 more in 3 months . Now what if I can't come up with the extra money I need the space that I have currently.. that's just wrong .

The location is convenient and I appreciate the later open hours. However, I am now being charged significantly more per month for absolutely no reason. From $181 - $245??? If I signed up at one price point: that shouldn’t change. If it does, no more than maybe 3%. But a $63 increase for reason? I’ll have to pull my items.
Its like a trick they play on you and to add insult to injury, the place is always dirty.
Don't get a unit here. They are a dishonest company. I rented a unit for $360 and within 3 months they raised it to $440 about a 20% increase.
I have rented many storage units and never had a price increase by that much, not even close.
