Location had exactly what I needed for the winter - a large drive up unit with easy access to the facility. Jane made the check in process easy back in November and the check out today with her was a breeze.

Jane in Garden City really helped me out last week, went out of her way and I am so grateful. I was trying to pay my bill, we had to get in touch with the district manager who was going to be driving for the next 45 minutes so with the district manager and Jane were able to get in touch with somebody else who is able to process my check and make the payment go through within minutes to spare so I can get home in time for my 10 year son‘s basketball game. Everybody really went above and beyond and I really do appreciate their efforts. Thank you.

I've used this facility on several occasions. Clean and well managed. Without question, Jane is the best property manager of any storage facility that I have worked with.
After 20 years at this facility I can’t say enough about how helpful Jane has been. She watches the hallways and manages this location like a hawk and is honest and helpful. Jane has assisted me many times over the years I have been a renter. Accolades to her and her advice on helpers and shredding facilities.
The bad news is the repetitive price increases have been too aggressive and as a long term renter I was forced to move out of my unit or face another 15% rent increase on top of a 20% and 30% increase the previous 2 years. The facility is deteriorating and there were several ceiling leaks visible and sections of the hallways cordoned off due to water damage. The climate control is lacking and in the winter the premises is damp and dingy. They provide push carts but do not have a hand truck which would be useful. The access system in erratic and the gates damaged.
If it wasn’t for Jane I would have left a long time ago.
They are priced over the market.

This place is excellent. It’s run by a dedicated property manager, Jane who really cares about the place. She’s constantly sweeping up. She is friendly and professional. Oh, by the way you can have access to the bathroom, which some other facilities don’t allow.
We stored our belongings at Public Storage of Garden City, NY for the past 90 days, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish.

Updated review:
Please note, any loading or unloading from your storage locker has to be done from the BACK of the building. My storage locker couldn't be further from the back unless it was across the street in the medical building. My storage locker was right by the front door, and they wouldn't let me load from the front of the place.
Every time I came in with boxes, they gave me a hard time about bringing it in from the front. Keep that in mind.
This facility is conveniently located and very user friendly. Jane is a standout employee and does a great job getting clients settled in their storage units. The facility is clean and well maintained . Corporate should have more employees on staff and longer hours of coverage to improve the customer experience

Jane & Jaci Ann are always so kind. They have always been extremely helpful with any questions I had or concerns regarding the storage unit I use. This location is always kept extremely clean and even the restrooms are spotless. I recently had to receive a delivery to the storage unit and it was very easy for the truck to deliver my pallet to my unit. I highly recommend this location for all your storage needs. I have a 10x10 indoor unit and also feel the price is very reasonable for the size.

Selling a house is such a stressful time. When you need to locate a storage facility on top of that it’s even more stressful. We visited several storage places and were unhappy for various reasons (cost, location, cleanliness). Then we made an appointment with Jaci Ann at the Garden City location of Public Storage. Both Jaci Ann and Jane were fabulous. So kind and able to fully explain the rental process. They even helped us realize that we could actually rent a slightly smaller unit and everything would fit, thus saving us money in the process. We signed up and paid on the spot. I walked out of there so relieved that something during this whole moving process finally went smoothly for us. I hope the company realizes how valuable these two women are. Just based on our meeting today we will recommend this location to all. Thank you so much ladies.
My wife had to move out of this storage by herself since i was out of town, an do it with a 2yr old, she was stressed out, but thank god for jaciann, she came and checked on my wife during the move, an even stayed late both days to ensure my wife got out without stress, as well she called her to give reminders of the move out day an letting her know she would be there if she had any problems. You don't really meet people in NY that take a moment to care an this women really touched my wife's heart, cause what she was so stressed about she called me after happy an at peace. 10/10. Public storage be mindful of the amazing face you have sitting at the front desk. She is someone great.

They are pretty good there however if your storage unit is located on the exterior of the building they will not give you a password that allows you into the building to use the bathroom even while it's still the hours of operation between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. which kind of sucks so if your unit is outside good luck with going to the bathroom when no one is in the office.
