Stay away from Public Storage. Rental rates increased by more than double over 4 years. Modest annual increases initially, gradually larger and most recently 30%. Current rate is more than 3 times what new customers are being charged for the same sized unit. Customer Service is a joke. Look elsewhere.
Having dealt with a number of Storage areas around, I have to say that the staff makes the difference. When it comes to making an impression - professionalism, attitude, knowledge and willingness to help is what it takes. Normally people take the time to complain. I'm taking the time to say THANK YOU to Kym at the Self Storage facility at 1005 Rt 70 in Brick NJ. Could NOT be more helpful and with a SMILE .. Thank you Kym. Both facilities on rt 70 in Brick are well kept and clean. We have been using them for many years. The best part is the customer service. Kathleen is the best. She really knows her job, is professional, friendly, and a true pleasure to do business with.

I recently started using this location and both Kathleen and Kym have been extremely helpful and accommodating. I had never used a storage facility before and I am extremely grateful for their kindness and assistance. Prior to choosing this location I had dealt with staff at other locations who were not very eager to provide me with info and help me find an appropriate unit. This was not the case at this location and I highly recommend using this facility based on the service they provided alone.

I had a nightmare of a move using College Hunks to move my stuff out of 2 pods into my storage unit. They were so bad!! They said they had to leave before they put everything into the storage unit because they realized they did it all wrong and it wouldn’t fit unless they pulled everything out and did it right so they just left me there a70 yr old woman alone with 1/2 my stuff outside the unit and no one to help me. Out comes Kim from Public Storage. She was so kind and helpful. She allowed me to use an empty unit to get the rest of my stuff in with the help of friends and she even said she never saw such a terrible move by movers in her life! Kim saved the day for me!
