Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 425 Washington Ave N, Minneapolis, MN

Access hours are terrible and the garage door has been broken for at least a week, so our stuff is stuck in the unit until further notice, even though we came with a moving truck to get it all out. Take your business elsewhere if you are able, every time we come here we get frustrated by something that isn’t working as it should.

Terrible service

Had a driver/employee named Melvin ego trip on the road in front of our business and hold up an entire road of vehicles because he refused to give a UPS truck room to move through and he refused to back up when he was the only one with space.

I have video footage of Lisa the disrespectful lady who locks the office doors and sits on her phone, going off on customers for public storage’s faults. They do not take care of ice causing slips and falls. They do not have karts for items. They block the garage door closed so you have to use the small entrance door for all your things and most things do not fit through that. Traumatized by this experience! Currently being harassed by a mentally unstable lady that works here named Lisa. Do not go here for storage. Do not go to the sister property either! I was told by the corporate office to call the district manager after speaking with corporate office reps and he has not returned my call.

Horrible customer service. Cant get into unit after 5pm. Mind blowingly stupid. Also did not recognize welcome offer and charged full price. Get storage somewhere else, garbage company, garbage location.

It's a great place! The hours are inconvenient for me, but I make it work.

Still owe me my onitial payment! Over a year later never even put one item in storage

The time they closed is when I get off and the day is cool around that time . On top of Carts when I need one and the unit I got is a service elevator don't work.

Called and spoke to Sharon who is rude and could not or would not give me specifics on climate controlled units. Moving from a 4 bedroom house to an apartment until we move overseas and need a long term unit. Sharon was very unprofessional and curt. After explaining our move she asked me what size apartment we were moving from. She did not listen and sounded like a prerecording. I am hoping to speak to property manager and have a better experience. She basically told me she could disconnect the call because I asked her 3 times to define what climate control meant as we have family antiques we want stored to be safe from humidity and each time she said antiques would be fine in unit, never answering my questions. Asked what the temperature in summer and winter we're for the units. She could not answer. She sounded preoccupied so I thanked her and I will call manager later. Being there are many other places to choose from, she obviously could care less about customer service or maybe they do not need more business. Regardless, shame on you, Sharon!

Don't go here or buy insurance the employees steal from your storage my whole lock was gone they lie and say it was someone else then when you file a claim with orange door insurance company that they own will deny your claim ( may have to get an attorney if my things aren't replace) still waiting. I will post an update!

This North Loop public storage is as good as it gets. Very well run and love the old hard wood floors in this historic building. Letha (Facility Manager) went out of her way to help us locate a lager unit in the same facility for a very reasonable price. Thanks Letha!

What an absolute pleasure to store my things here. Y'know, I don't really expect much from places like this usually. A clean, temp controlled building is generally all I ask and it's usually met. Never have I experienced such fantastic customer service, amenities, or prices. The manager, Letha, is always such a joy to interact with and is happy to help and accommodate in any way she can. If you pass this place up, you're missing THE storage facility jewel of Minneapolis!

First time renting a storage unit and it could not have been easier thanks to Letha! Plenty of options. Easy access to the building through the alley loading dock. If you live downtown and need extra storage, this is your place!

Letha was terrific. Very friendly and helpful. The place is conveniently located in the North Loop, with reasonable pricing for the location. I would prefer it be open later hours for convenience but that's a trade off for the convenience.

Letha was extremely helpful and made the process quick and painless. Especially since I'd never done this before.

This storage place was extremely easy to reserve your spot online, make your payment, and then they were sending an email of your spot number, directions and the code to get into the building. It was extremely clean and Letha in the office was very helpful on move out day! Definitely will use this storage place in the future!

Last week Tom the employee working the location helped me out with getting my lock replaced. He was helpful and streamlined the process for me. I appreciate his work greatly. The location is nice, secure, and rather large. Only wish there was a larger loading area.

The overall experience was seemless. I would suggest that you clarify if your unit is on the mezzanine floor. This floor is only accessible via a lift and stairs. When moving out, unfortunately, the lift was inoperable.

Have been a long term customer at this facility and highly recommend to anyone in the area. The staff has been consistently professional and Melanie worked above and beyond recently to meet my needs as I transferred to another unit at the same facility.

I had to get a temporary storage unit between moves. Melanie was a huge help! She explained everything well to me when I signed up and helped me navigate the facility. She also went above and beyond when I was ending my lease to make sure I had everything I needed. Thank you! Great customer service.

$1 special is bait & switch when you add $20 lock and $20 administration fee; you pay the same monthly price. It's the wrong way to lure business.

Hey-heyyy everyone! My experience here has been lovely. The price and the size of the units are awesome and the flexibility is amazing. The staff there are very respectful kind about your belongings. My unit is in the back of the building and it has windows! Bright and cheery. So far as i have seen.....no riff raff here. You know the stigma that storage facility's have right? None here....crazy. This lady Melanie that works there.....she's easy to talk to and aweeeesome. Haha have nice day everyone! Toodles!!

We had two 10 x 15 units for 2 years. Did not have a single problem during this time. Before moving out, we spend countless hours purging our items on the hallway to reduce the final amount to move, and the manager, Melanie, was kind enough that sometimes waits up to 15 min after closing hours, until we had finished putting everything back to come back next day, and loaded our car with the donation and disposal items. Likewise, during moving time, she gave me great tips to possible locations for the truck to park. Overall, it was a great experience.

Cleanest storage I've ever had. Very kind people and accommodating as well. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a storage.

They are not very helpful when you most need it. They also messed up with our initial booking of a unit. They prorate when you move in but refuse to do it if you need an extra couple days to move stuff out.

I stuff here are kind and understanding and Soo very helpful... The building is in a hard to find location on a one way... Yet it's clean safe and secure...I'm blessed to have found this place and for a reasonable price... I have a car in the garage and a storage room... The stuff here is who make the place better and and happy there good vibes and cheerful attitude makes me not want to leave sometimes....I love this place and I highly recommend this storage facility to anyone and everyone I know or see that need a storage unit to come here to this one

I've had a unit for the last six months and love it. The space is well-maintained and secure, and Melanie is a wonderful keeper of the facility. I'd highly recommend this space if you want a north loop location and the access hours work for you.

The facilities were clean and easy to navigate, despite having a storage unit in the basement. My friend and I had fun actually, despite moving in the rain today! We used the backdoor and loading dock and everything ran smoothly. Also! Kenya was fantastic! She was kind and very helpful in explaining how to use my storage unit. We loved her.

I just rented a unit here and needed to move my stuff from a PODS container into my unit. Management allowed me to use several of their parking spots at the rear of the building for two days so my container could be delivered and unloaded free of charge! This is unheard of downtown. Amazing experience, highly recommend this location, staff is beyond helpful.

The front desk lady melanie is really nice and kind and provides good customer service. She is very polite and caring and always keeps a good relationship with her customers. This storage place is a place I recommend coming too, and I don’t regret my decision.
