Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 7700 Central Ave, Cheverly, MD

The post that I previous stated was for a different location. I have not had any experiences with this location. The person that called me to ask me corrected seeing the very nice and pleasant it was very courteous. Here is the corrected post.

Latrice, was very helpful to me on my moving in day. She is a model employee.

I needed to move quickly and put a few things in storage for a month while I got settled. First the move-in process was shady. $1 first month rent was actually $70 after I was charged a bunch of random fees including $7.99 for a damp-check that i did not ask for and $15 for insurance I did not need to get from them. The itemized list of fees was flashed quickly so i could not see what i was being charged for and the unit i was given was not secure and had a broken wooden door. I came back to move out exactly 30 days from the day i moved in and the manager was there on her day off. She told me she couldn't help me because she was off the clock but made sure to pull up my account to charge a late fee and remove my access until i paid a nominal balance for days I would not be using since i was there to move out within a month. She refused to remove the late fee and instructed her employee that i needed to pay for the days in the month i would not be using in addition to the late fee or I could not access my unit. This is horrible customer service and a disgusting deception to get over on people by pinching every penny possible. Who comes in on their day off to charge a late fee and refuses to talk to or help the customer? I expected better. I will never use Public Storage again.

When I came in there was not sign of the business hours. I thought there was an office in the back but it was the manager house, which again no sign that it’s a private residence. I knocked and the manager came out with an attitude. It make me think if it was a white manager they would have more respect. But no she came out ghetto and with a big attitude. Public storage please higher better people. She was very disgusting to a paying customer.

Where can i start. The customer service is by far the best to ever touch down on the street of central Avenue. I came in roughly four months ago and inquired about a space and the young lady Ms. Latrice did everything to help me and my family during a rough time and couldn’t do nothing but thank her so much. I highly recommend this property on the strength of the customer service and the cleanliness of the property, Thank you guys for everything you all do

So far the crowning jewel of this establishment is the customer service. The actual storage facility itself leaves much for improvement just off my first usage, I might not stay at this location due to the storage unit being extremely hot and humid and I don’t want my more vulnerable items like my shoes and TVs damaged and mildewed, today it was 95 degrees outside and it felt better outside then in the storage ! also my storage units lock is not closing properly and I had to leave it unsecured as it was close to closing. It’s a older building so I understand it isn’t going to look excellent but as far as the Temperature there should be AC in there, I’m glad I didn’t place my camera equipment in there or else that would be damaged for sure…
