About Weymouth

Situated on Boston's South Shore, Weymouth has the distinction of being the second-oldest town in Massachusetts. The town offers easy access to nearby Boston via a network of public transit routes, as well as some of the most affordable homes on the South Shore.

Originally known as Wessagusset, Weymouth was renamed in 1635 and continued to grow, thanks to its seaside location and easy connections to neighboring towns.
