Rate raise of 33% after 6 months.

I have never been SO frustrated with a company. When I moved in, it was a climate controlled location, but ever since then, the AC has been off and it is 80 degrees in the "climate controlled" building. The people onsite have been nice, but tell me it's a problem with the corporate office and the corporate office says it's the property manager's issue. Now they have raised my rates over $70/month for a NON-Climate controlled unit and are rude and just continue to talk over me when I call to talk about it. I would absolutely NOT recommend this place to anyone.

Doug is an incredible person and manager of the place… I’ve been struggling trying to move on my own, and he made my options and experience better than any other storage unit facility I have ever dealt with. Props to you, Doug!!!

Not good for longterm storage - they raise your rent every few months. My rent’s increased $100 since I first rented the unit 2 years ago. Unfortunately, I’m stuck with it until I’m able to move everything. Otherwise, the man that manages the Broomfield location and the front desk staff are very helpful and support you with all your needs. They have restrooms onsite which is convenient as not all storage facilities do.

It seems like a good deal, they will raise your prices after you've been in a unit for 6 months. Then some time later raise the monthly price over $50 per month. Beware this is a trap

I received a notice last November 2022 that my storage unit would increase. My question is why I am getting a increase only five months after the increase in December. Unit number is 3447

Over priced immediately after first month. Bait and switch. Military discount policy is ridiculous. Go elsewhere

Need to stay open at least till 11pm. 9pm is simply, ludicrous and extremely inconvenient. When I initially went to rent the webpage I viewed, says, "gates close at 10pm". Dang man!

When I visit my unit the person on duty usually takes time out of their day to track me down and greet me. Then they ask multiple questions about how I’m doing. I feel like I’m treated with respect and not treated like a criminal when accessing my unit. I would definitely recommend this location to others who like to be treated with respect.

Leslie and Doug were such great help, Leslie was in training and explained that she would assist me as much as possible, when I needed a bigger unit they helped me solve my problem and showed me the way to my unit! If you need help with storage this is your place to go! They are fast, understanding, and willing to work with you to meet your needs, i highly recommend this facility! Thank you to these 2! I have always thought A1 customer service was dead but they showed me wrong!

very shady place. a facility like this had only 1 camera. disgusting public security. people were sneaking in through the door to look for stealing opportunities. had I know I would have never rented that storage. they need to add cameras. making so much money it is disgusting to see they went cheap on sec. run away.

Very clean great prices

I recently got a unit here with my roommate and it is both of our first experiences with using a storage unit. We were helped by Doug and he is awesome! He helped us find our unit the first time we came by and walked us through everything we needed to know (plus giving us some pointers to make our move easier like downloading the app to open gates)! Our move would have certainly been more difficult and taken longer without his help. The facility is also very nice and secure--I feel safe leaving my stuff there while I need to.

Doug and Kevin at Public Storage were very helpful and efficient in processing my new storage unit needs! The facility is very safe and is remote accessible. Very clean, temperature is controlled and consistent. A safe and convenient location to store your belongings! I highly recommend using this location.

This was a great place to store while we needed it. The property manager, Doug, was super friendly, helpful, and respectful. If I ever need to store in this area again, I will look for Doug. I hesitate with public storage, due to their prices, but Doug made it worth it.

I actually truly like the facility... It is well protected, and the security is adequate. The app is convenient, and allows you to open the gate upon approach, rather than having to type in your code at the gate, every time you enter or exit. Unfortunately the cost of units keep rising, which is one downside that I understand is inevitable, yet it is troubling just how high it has gone up. However, I can be confident that my property is well taken care of and that it is safe and preserved properly, thanks to the climate control.

Long overdue review here, but I always hold off on 1-star reviews to allow my self to cool down. I'd give this place 0 stars if I could. Anyway, we reserved a storage unit online and this Broomfield location called me back with only 2 days left to spare to tell us the unit was no longer available but an available unit that was...drumrolls...MUCH MORE expensive could be rented! The argumentative lady on the phone proceeded to tell me they were not responsible for the prices online even after we already reserved the unit. Well that's odd, because the folks representing the same company on the web, with same branding and logo, using an integrated reservation system that matches the Broomfield location, said the unit was available 3 weeks prior to their last minute call. Way to treat your new customers. Anyway, we took our corporate business elsewhere and have since rented half a dozen units from a nearby competitor.

I could not for the life of me get a storage unit in Fort Collins/ Loveland and had to drive down to Broomfield area. Janelle was seriously the absolute best! There was another customer that was incredibly rude and entitled, but she solved the issue the best she could given the circumstances were out of her control. I had also needed to upgrade to a bigger storage unit and both her and Doug helped me out with that situation. Appreciate the help ya'll!

Good god... I purchased the unit via the online app. Received instructions on how to enter the premises. Was able to get in, and then got LOCKED INSIDE! The code didn't work to get out. Spent 40 minutes on the phone waiting for help. No manager on prem. Still can't access my unit paid for. Internet went out and all new customers didn't have access. Update: I was able to receive a temporary code to get in/out of the gate. Took a number of hours and many trips to get it all straightened out. I asked for $75 to compensate my lost time (~5 hours and some gas).

Manager is sweet as can be but you give out your gate code pass to anyone and he will become the principal scolding you like you're a child. There's absolutely no cell service in this building.

I've had a storage unit with this place less than a week, and am already regretting it, HARDCORE. Shady business, full of shysters from top to bottom, or so it would seem. Read further down for my reasoning on that if you wish, but first, the "bad" about the location itself. . . . (cue dream music) There is only one main entrance to enter the entire indoor storage facility, and it requires a keypad entry, which creates a weird funnel of bad security, as there's seemingly always other people there going in and out, and they can just follow you in. If your unit is in the first hallway, like mine, have fun with that. . . . The hallway is barely wide enough for the cart, so loading and unloading if other people are going in and out is a PITA. Now, the scamminess. . . . Initial contract charges you for a lock that is provided, but indicates that a refund will be issued if you provide your own lock. Same goes for the insurance that they automatically charge you for, initially. After moving all of my belongings into the unit, I went to return the lock, and was denied, being informed that "all the locations are now making these locks mandatory, because they're the best," as if a steel lock makes a difference on a sheet metal door. . . . I expressed what the contract said, and was basically told to take it up with the company. After calling around and waiting on hold forever, I finally got to talk to an earthling, but said earthling just regurgitated company policies, kept reiterating how powerless and useless they were, and then finally put in a request to whatever powers that be to let me use my own lock and get a refund for the supplied lock, telling me that I would get a ruling on the request within 2 business days, and to call back if I don't hear from them. After 4 business days, I called AND used the chat service, and this request must never have been made, as there was no trail or evidence of it, and I was told to contact the site manager, as that is who decides these things. The old "right-hand referring you to the left-hand, referring you back to the right-hand" trick, eh? Scamming every new tenant for $22 must be a nice side hustle. Storage companies are the new towing companies. . . .

First time I've had to use a storage unit. Misunderstood and ended up buying one of their storage locks (which I have no use for now lol), but other than that the experience was very pleasant. Easy to go in with the app, we had no issues navigating the storage (once we figured out the correct entrance!), well lit and clean. And closing out the account was super easy as well. Thank you!

I had an excellent experience. My sister and I were impressed with the knowledge that Doug had. He was very helpful. He went out of his way to shovel out right in front of the doors and put ice melt down since my 2 units faced north and had snowed right before we vacated. These were the cleanest units I have ever seen. Even my movers mentioned how clean they were. Hopefully I won't need to use storage again, but I would definitely go back!

Had a unit at this facility for over a year. Units are clean and the facility is clean. When I first rented, I rented from Doug who was very helpful. Every time I went to the storage Doug was more than polite. Wish I could have stayed because of him, but needed a larger unit. When I moved out, I made it a point to say goodbye to him. Would rent here again.

I wasn't sure at first that I wanted to store here because their prices seemed so much lower than other facilities and I figured they were too good to be true. After visiting their facility, I can see that the grounds and storage units are all kept in immaculate condition, and they just have very competitive prices. Doug, the property manager, was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process and was understanding when I wanted to shop around at other facilities before signing a lease. I chose to come back and rent a unit here because the prices can't be beat, the facility is well kept, the security is high, and the staff were very nice and helpful. Update Jan 2022: I still store here and love it! I recently downsized to a smaller unit, and the process was quick and easy with the help of the lovely staff!!

This is a good storage facility. It is clean and cheap with bathrooms on every level. I received great customer service during the rental process and on the few occasions I needed help. I do have one major and one minor complaint. The major complaint is that the door to access the storage units is supposed to be locked and opened with a code, unfortunately it opens like a grocery store door. I liked the double security. The minor complaint is that the parking lot is too small. Two U-haul trucks will take up over half of the parking lot.

Extra space storage had no other capacity and were going to send me to another location that had a higher monthly rent. Canceled and got refunded and went straight to this location and Doug made everything smooth and price was way better here 🙂

I have been a customer for over 1 year. The staff, especially "Doug" were very courteous my entire stay. I would see Doug in the mornings doing his unit checks, and he was always polite. I appreciated the security that was in place, I always felt like my stuff was in good hands.

Great service. Christy explained and made sure that I got the space I needed. Nice, friendly people, and in a good area is all a plus.

This was a great place but then COVID happened. They upped my rates December of 2020 (Merry Christmas) and I fell behind due to COVID for a month. I received 6 phone calls, 2 text messages & 4 emails before the end of the month because I was unable to pay. Don't even get me started on the woman who calls (Cathy/Kathy) she is flat out rude. These are only days apart and are harassing. I'm not sure if they think I get paid daily or what but boy they must be hurting for money to harass me this much. At this point I hate this place it sucks. There are weirdos every time I go there who seem to live in some of the units. I will never rent a space with Public Storage again the fees are way to high and not worth it.

The storage unit facility is absolutely amazing! The climate control building stays climate-controlled unlike some other places I've been to. The staff was awesome, the prices we're more than fair, and the facility is very clean. The onsite manager was absolutely a pleasure to deal with. He was very concerned with making sure we were getting the most appropriate size unit for what we were storing and after he found out what we were using it for he made sure we had the closest unit to the door since these were very heavy items. Shelly, the lady that helped me was great! The facilities are nice and will be easy to access. The reason for the low score is because the advertising and cost is VERY deceitful. Being up front about things is always the best way to run and earn business. Online advertisement was for a 5x5 unit for $15 a month with the 1st month for $1. Good deal right? Well it cost me $80 today to be able to rent the unit. I had 2 emails from them as well as 2 phone calls from them to confirm my reservation among other things. At no time did anyone mention that their would be a $25 administration fee, a $20 lock fee, required to have insurance at $15 a month fee and also had to pay the rest of this month and next month as well. Yes I expected their would be some additional cost and the actual amount I paid today or the money is not the big issue. The big issue is that what they are doing is not being honest and upfront. Almost like a bait and switch. Their goal is to get you in the door and then lay all the additional stuff on you. If you care about your customers then you treat them like you would treat your grandmother. I have been in customer service for 17 years and that has always been the way 8 treat people and what I require of others to do as well. They should have included this in one or both of the emails they sent me and they most definitely should have explained some of that over the phone. To top it all of they say that if my homeowner's or renter's insurance covers storage then Incan simply cancel they police i had to buy from them. And then after I pay I'm told that if my current policy covers it that I can cancel the policy from them but I won't be refunded the cost I was required to pay today. The reason I chose public storage was because it was almost half the price of other places. So it seamed. But the truth is they are just the same as other places but the other storage companies are upfront and truthful about the actual cost. So my recommendation is to stay away. If a company is dishonest like that from the very beginning I can only assume that is what I can expect the entire time I'm doing business with them and that won't be very long.

My experience at Public Storage in Broomfield was great. Doug, the agent that I signed up with was truly exceptional! He was helpful, kind, honest and upfront with all that I needed to know to rent from them. This location is clean, well-lit and secured my belongings with no issues whatsoever. When it came time for me to check out of my unit, I had almost missed getting to the office in time to finalize my rental period. I called Doug and told him why I hadn't shown up much earlier before closing time. Doug went to the unit to see if I had left my lock on it and let me know I had. I raced over to Doug's office and he had the required paperwork ready to go on his computer when I got there, so I was able to complete my final paperwork without a hitch! His help with this saved me nearly $100 that I would have had to pay for an additional month. Thank you Doug for all your help and support! I will recommend this Public Storage location and Doug to anyone that ever needs a storage unit in the future. I will be back if I need a unit too.

Codes for elevator every trip are annoying but overall really clean and secure

Great secure place for your stuff. The manager was wonderful and so nice to work with. All the staff were very helpful. Storage unit was clean and dry at the time we rented and stayed dry the entire year we rented. No mice or bugs either. Very secure and easy access. Highly recommend this public storage facility

Nice new facility. Clean and secure. Weekends are busy and I've experienced that there are some people who claim all the flat dollies and have them lined up in the hallway as they load or unload their storage unit. Hallways are long and lights are motion sensing. They don't come on until you are almost under the light. Would be nice to have the lights come on sooner. Signing in on the keypad to open the gate is awkward. You have to pull over very close on the left side of the driveway to reach the keypad. Would be easier to reach if the keypad was extended further into the driveway.

We stopped by to see what sizes they had and checked out the 10x10, 10x15, and 10x20. Carla was great at showing us the units and explained the prices. This is a great location. Very clean and secure. I will most definitely be using this storage in the near future.

Came in on Friday august 9 and was absolutely impressed with the facility and staff that was there to help us. Carla was extremely professional and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this facility if you are looking for a storage facility.

The set-up process was quick and efficient (I love that everything was done electronically - no unnecessary paperwork!). When I called back later that day and said that I'd need a larger unit, he made the process so easy. This has got to be one of the best Public Storage facilities I've ever had to deal with.

I had a wonderful experience today at Public Storage. The office manager gave a tour and showed me how to use the code and key. This was the perfect solution to store my belongings while I do some home renovations. Thank you!

What a wonderful experience. I found them last minute bc they had the best rate and from the moment I reserved to moving in has been super smooth bc of their great customer service. I immediately got a call from Leianne to set up and appointment, so I wouldn’t have to wait when I came in. Leianne was so incredibly lovely and extremely helpful. She made sure I was in the right size unit, brought to attention some things to think about (ie mattress protector, making sure my renters insurance covers offsite, etc.), along with being so personable! The facility is clean and I feel very confident keeping my storage with them. Thank you.

I went to pay for my storage unit this morning. I reserved it three weeks ago and set it up to begin renting today. When I got there I was greeted very politely and very professionally. The man who took care of my reservation took us over to see the storage unit itself when we went back he explained everything in full detail in a very professional manner. He was well-mannered polite and it was an absolute pleasure doing business at this public storage facility. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for public storage. It is exceptionally clean climate controlled and in a very decent area! I was thoroughly impressed by the staff and the facility!

Staff is very friendly and helpful! Units are mostly all indoor so they're climate controlled. They have flat bed carts available to use, you want to pull and not push them because only the rear wheels steer. There are 3 floors, elevators can carry 2 carts at once. You need a code to get in, get out, and also to go up in the elevator. The storage is open from 6am-9pm. Wish it were later for us night owls. They have some moving supplies for sale in the office too; mattress and couch covers, boxes, moving blankets, packing tape, etc. Reserve online if you can, you tend to get much better deals.

Today I quickly needed a space to store some music equipment and other household items. I first went to a cubesmart where the woman at the front desk was extremely rude, so I just up and left. I then came to this public storage and was greeted by Tyson. He said that Doug and Michelle were the ones who are usually on staff, but he was on call their today. He was extremely helpful and kind, yet also fast at getting me my storage unit and showing me how to access it. 5 stars thank you!

I'd give more stars if they allowed it! Great place. Very knowledgeable staff, especially Doug, who was a big help in deciding correct sizing needs for our items to be stored. Got a tour of the facility. The building and surrounding grounds are kept spotless. There are plenty of flat bed carts for loading/unloading. Security is well designed. I highly recommend this facility based upon the quality of the premises and the outstanding efforts of the management & staff.

I went here last week to rent a unit in the leasing office and was turned away because the employees were on a conference call. Went again today to get a unit and the in-person price is significantly different than the online price. That's fine and not a big deal, but then I couldn't even sign up online and put my things into the unit I would haven rented. I was able to go over to Flatirons Storage and get a cheaper rate, better access to my unit, and 5 star service.

Such a great experience. Doug was so helpful on site, and Michelle was empathetic and nice helping me set up my reservation on the phone. The facilities are nice, clean, and secure. The amenities (elevator, code access, the carts) are amazing. Everyone seemed really knowledgeable and friendly. I’m glad we chose this Public Storage.

I had a complication regarding my online reservation and she was awesome at getting me situated and answering all my questions. Recently moved from NY and this place is a blessing.

Just rented here for the first time, transferring from a much smaller but similary priced unit with a competitor. The office still smells new, and the spacious parking by the units was a pleasant surprise.

This is a great place if you need a self storage. The manager is amazing! He is very friendly and helpful and the rest of the staff are great as well. The place is very clean, secure, and it's easy to load or unload your unit with their provided carts and roomy elevators. The units are also the most affordable and reasonably priced units to be found in the North Denver area. Bonus!!! I recommend this place to everyone who needs to rent a self storage!

When I initially stopped by to check out the place, Doug answered all my questions, provided me with additional information, gave me a tour of the facility, and showed me actual units of the 3 sizes I was interested in. After I decided what size I wanted, I made my reservation online (online pricing is currently a discounted rate). At my appointment on my effective date, Sammie was awesome! ... she gave me a thorough tour of the facility, then of course showed me where my unit is and demonstrated how the cylinder lock works. She then walked out to the gate with me to make sure my code works. I feel very safe going there after hours when the business office is closed, because of the many safety and security features they have in place. Overall, I am very impressed with this facility and highly recommend it for anyone looking for clean, secure, and climate-controlled storage units!

And, this place is brand new (opened in July 2018), very clean, well lit, easy access. This is a no-brainer for storage.

I moved my stuff from a different storage facility to this facility because the price of my previous unit was very high. The prices at this new facility are very good. Leianne was very friendly, showed me 2 units, got me signed up quickly, and thoroughly went over all the details very well. They have a lot of indoor units. I went with an indoor unit this time as some of the contents of my previous facility's outdoor unit got wet during some flooding. This facility also is more secure than my previous facility.

We want to thank Doug for the excellent care we got!! We rented from Public Storage when we first moved to colorado. Than when we got a apt we moved to another company. We were treated bad and they uped our rent after being there less than 6 months by $60.00 a month. So very happy we got back into Public Storage again we were treated very well by Doug!! Plus he helped me due to me having a disability showing me the elevators and where to park that was close. THANK YOU DOUG!!! Glad to be back again....
