Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 2500 N Main Street, Walnut Creek, CA

The lockers themselves are fine but the service on an administrative level is unacceptably bad. Example- and this is merely one: I came here to put stuff in my locker today- after completely loading my car, arrived on site and loaded up a cart, then only to discover that ALL THREE elevators- needed to reach my floor- have out of service signs on them. (When I first got my unit, I was told that part of the security system was that each floor is only accessible via pin code to those with a unit on that floor, and for those who aren't on the ground floor, the elevator is the only option.) There was no notice sent out by email nor phone/text to alert me of this. No one in the office right now, during business hours. So I wasted my time and energy with the loading/unloading, and there is no information provided about when I will be able to access my locker again- which I am currently paying for, and now unable to access. I expect it my be a while since two of the three elevators were already down when I first rented my unit, over a week ago- clearly things don't get fixed quickly around here. For someone on a timeline in the middle of moving, to say this is an "inconvenience" is an understatement. Do not come here. Sure wish I hadn't.

Access code to building didn't work. No-one in locked office. Called 3 numbers for customer service, all auto, with no option for "help"; I left messages. Online chat said "make an appointment to contact office: earliest is tomorrow". I'd driven 3hrs with an hourly paid mover waiting to go back. I went with a customer into the one working elevator (out of three for what I guessed was my floor), but couldn't find my unit #. Other customers formed a line behind us at the office door - one had an appointment but left after 20 minutes. After 50 minutes, the flustered manager showed up. She had two attempts to enter a new code, and gave us a map to the maze of units ( couldn't that have been emailed?). Said there should be two office staff for their 2,000 units, but PS only assigned one. Can't imagine worse customer service than Public Storage.

Domenique at Public Storage, Walnut Creek is the epitome of elegance. She is helpful, kind, thoughtful and very smart. Going on 7 years I am always happy to see her smiling face.

I came right at closing time on a Friday and was a little lost but Lisa Marie saw me and asked if she could help. She was wonderful and not at all impatient or rushed. So very helpful and the facility was spotless. It seems very secure and I’m really pleased with the customer service.

I just got my new space and it looks great. I did need assistance with finding the space and figuring out the lock ( which were easy to figure out , but I can be helpless at times). The person the office, the manager Dominique was literally the most helpful person I’ve encountered in months! She was so happy to assist me with figuring out the door, how to access with the app, and where my unit was! Thorough customer service, highly recommend!

We will recommend your facility to any of our friends, particularly because of the customer service she provided. Additionally, we were impressed with the cleanliness of the facility, but what set it apart from other facilities that we were looking at was Ieshia.

I’ve had a storage at the Walnut Creek location for awhile, and upon moving out this month, Dominique made it very straightforward and easy. She was articulate and knowledgeable of the process and made me feel my business with the storage was in good hands. Her customer service was fantastic and she was an all together nice person. My interaction was an emotional, cathartic contrast to my experience with the apartment complex I’m moving out of. The leasing office here could use a training from Dominique on how to interact with tenants and paying clients. Thank you.
