Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 1060 Stewart Drive, Sunnyvale, CA

It’s great to have a place to park your car that is temperature-controlled and clean! I left my vehicle here for about 4 months and was very happy to know it was kept safe! (-1 star because I left the unit like 3 minutes after closing hours and I received a call saying a penalty had been assigned to my account. You’re telling me there isn’t even a 5-minute grace period?)

I have been here at this facility only a few months. The rate had increased and I asked Liz to help with this. She was able to lower my rate helping me save money.

I rented a 9'x10' unit and surprisingly it was very clean, staff was awesome and helpful.

I came into see if i could get A storage for a short period of time. I did not have too much time to gdt this done. Russell was the first person i saw, greeted us with a smile and great customer service. We were in a bit of a rush but Russell was able to with the help of his partner Ashley get us in out storage with no issue and a smile

DO NOT USE THIS STORAGE IF YOU WANT ACCESS TO YOUR THINGS. I was not told when I moved my stuff here that they don’t allow access after hours. I needed something urgently from my storage at 6:30PM and that’s when the customer rep told me about this ridiculous clause! What is the point of an access code if I can’t get to my storage whenever I want!

I have had a storage unit at the Sunnyvale Public Storage for many, many years. Two years ago, I moved to the South Bay to merge our family with my fiancée’s family. We decided to rent a storage unit as part of the move, but we never got around to clearing the second storage unit after the move was complete. Recently, we received a bill that raised the rates on both units, so I went to the Sunnyvale, where I spoke with the manager, Russell. He was sympathetic to our situation, and he offered reduce our rate back to the old rates for a few months while worked to clear the second storage out. Thanks Russell!!

Liz is awesome

Liz in the front office is amazing! Always helpful for any need and friendly. The facility was clean and kept up. I accidentally stayed a little longer then allowed and received a friendly reminder to vacate after hrs of operation witch is understandable and lets me know they are all on top of things and keeping a close eye on my belongings.

I've booked storage units at Public Storage several times, and I continue to be impressed with the facility and staff. The facility is always clean and well-maintained, which gives me peace of mind knowing my belongings are in a safe environment. The team here is fantastic—professional, courteous, and always willing to help. Ty and Liz, in particular, consistently provide excellent service. During my most recent experience, I accidentally unsealed the wrong unit and even started moving my items in. When I went to return the key that I did not use, Ty noticed the mix-up. Instead of making me move everything again, Ty offered a solution that saved me a lot of time and effort. He quickly transferred my unit number to the one I had already used, ensuring everything was squared away without any hassle. Another time, I needed to upgrade to a larger storage unit and consulted with Liz. I wanted to avoid paying an admin fee by transferring, but I was also tempted by the online-only promo rates for new bookings. Liz was incredibly kind and walked me through all my options, even giving me a heads-up that a sale might be happening soon if I wasn't in a rush. Although I didn’t wait for the sale, I still ended up getting a really good rate for my larger storage unit, thanks to her guidance. Overall, I couldn't be happier with the service I receive at Public Storage. It's clear that the team here truly cares about their customers. Highly recommended!

The property is large and well maintained. Moving and storing can be stressful, these guys make it super easy! I have been a customer at this Public Storage before. Since then, maybe 8 to 10 years ago, things have gotten more complicated. Nevertheless, the manager, Liz, and her staff (Hailie, Ty, Eric, and Hayden) have been nothing but good-willed and friendly. They've always been completely open and helpful when answering my many questions. When I see Liz or any of her staff, I am instantly assured and relieved that the customer service will in no way be lacking. Did not find out the falling ceilling before renting the unit out. And said will fix it after moving in and I need to be there when they are fixing it. Do n't you should check the storage unit and fix it before renting. So this facility must be under poor management and not friendly for the renting process.

We have been renting our space for 3 years with PS on Stewart in Sunnyvale, and today was the only day we had an issue that required speaking with someone in the office. The manager was off today, but to our wonderful surprise, the agent on duty, ROCHELLE, was understanding, pleasant and did all she could to rectify the situation right in the moment. They raised my rate 4 times in the last 3 years... so I was paying 220% of my original rate. Also, they don't pro-rate, so when you finally move out, even if you are 1 day into the next month, you need to pay for the entire month. I usually don't write reviews, but the way Public Storage takes advantage of you really deserves some negative sentiment. I moved in toward the end of 2020 and it was only 5 months after my move-in date I received my first increase of 10%. 9 months later, they increased it 32% (of the new price). another 9 months later, they increased it 31% (again of the new price). Then finally 12 months later, they increased it 15% (again of the new price). Yeah, I know, I should have left after the first 30% hike, but it's never that simple. Maybe this is just the way all storage facilities are? They did not hide the rate increase. You get a notice 30-days before hand. My experience with the facility was pretty decent. I never had trouble getting in/out or loading/unloading. I didn't do much with the space though, just two or three visits to initially load up the small unit. Anyway, do not recommend.

Great location that seems pretty secure! Ty was super friendly and helpful! He walked around and showed me a few units of different sizes. He also answered all of my questions very directly and honestly. Really great above and beyond service from Ty!

Manager Tammy at this location is super-professional. I had booked a unit that did not quite fit my needs. She made it easy to switch into one that suits me much better. Very helpful and kind!

I have things that I don’t need until I move next time. This helps store those things in a reasonable price. The smallest storage is already very adequate for my need. The place is clean and near. Hannah who toured me and helped me move in was excellent and friendly. A bit nervous but very professional after all. The lock did not work initially but they were quick to respond and looked into the situation. The problem was fixed. Will recommend this place.

Can’t say enough great things about Rochelle and Jo - positive, friendly and very kind. Went the extra mile to make sure things went smoothly on a stressful moving day. I book online for a indoor temperature control.. and I paid $120 for fees and everything for first month.. and I came in and they gave me an old dirty looking closet with beat up lock holder... And the lady new she was doing something wrong so she didn't have the gut to take me to it but told me the place and location to look myself.. and I asked for refund and she told me that the $21 dollar is administrative fees I cannot get back and the $90 is refunded.. today checking my bank it was the other way around, they refunded me $21 dollar and kept the $90... This place rip off people .. the lady there look very mean dishonest and pretentious.. she was all happy and smiling but her face still cannot hide her dishonesty and meanness.. I didn't trust the place so I didn't move in.. I didn't have a good feeling about the people there ...

So been at this location for over 1 year, very clean, friendly staff extremely helpful, love this place recommend.

Everything appeared good until an accident happened. In early Nov. 2022, I reserved a unit and had my stuff stored in it. There wasn’t any issue at the beginning. But a few days later, there were a few raining days in Sunnyvale and the office told me that the rain leaked into my unit. They said I have to move my stuff to another unit and offered no compensation. They told me that it wasn’t their fault, it was their contractor’s problem. They can find me another unit that’s the best they can do. When I initially reserved the unit, there was an online promotion that offered $1 for the first month. I asked them can I at least get the same promotion for your building had a leakage problem is not my fault? They said no it’s not their fault. So I had to hire people to move my stuff and my discount was voided. The worst part is that their attitude was very good and welcoming before the leakage problem; but after the problem, they changed their attitude 180 degrees. All they said after the leakage happened was: “it wasn’t their fault, go talk to your insurance company.”

You can't control what mother nature does. My unit was affected by water and I got the best customer service by Luis, Rochelle, James,Tammy, Serena and more. It has been really great and the transfer went with. No problems. Thank you guys for all that you do.

Water leak in the unit. Over two weeks now and no ownership or response from Public Storage on when the source of the leak will be fixed.

Halfway through moving in, this location was notified that all of their elevators had to be disabled. This meant I had to finish my move-in by carrying all of my things (multiple car-full loads) up two flights of stairs and down long hallways to my unit without a cart or anything. I was not notified of this and had to find out myself, and after submitting a contact form online I never heard back either. I think a rent reduction is more than appropriate.

Excellent storage facility with fair prices, tons of property, and a really great property manager. I’ve come here twice to store my Jeep Hardtop over the summer. This is one of the largest facilities in the area and they have plenty of availability normally. Your belongings here are safe because they have gated access and the storage is also locked and controlled with codes. They’re pretty vigilant about keeping the property secured, I’ve always felt safe here. The service here is excellent too. The staff and property manager are very friendly and professional, probably the reason I keep coming back. Super friendly, quick service, and very professional all around. Highly recommended to visit this location and see for yourselves. You might be able to find slightly cheaper alternatives elsewhere in some “sketchy” locations, but for the very few dollars you save - you’re going to make a ton of compromises. This is the best spot in the Southern Bay Area for storage, hands down… and I’ve visited a lot of locations, trust me.

I received great service from Angel and Lindsay when setting up my storage unit for the first time. They were very communicative and addressed some of my concerns of my initial assigned unit and was able to switch me to another unit. Would recommend 10/10.

Came in late around ~5:40 with a flight to catch the next day, so I had to move everything in that very day. James was absolutely phenomenal, helping guide me to where my storage unit was located. Could not have done it in time without him, and will be glad to use public storage because of him again.

Location is well maintained and feels very safe. Move in day this past Saturday and Tammy was there bright and early 9 AM. My appointment was 9:40. I picked the unit that better fit my need and was out of the office quickly. Highly recommend the place - the staff is well trained to get you where you want to be efficiently.

This is the first me renting a storage space. Taslima was friendly and welcoming. She was very patience throughout the process. Showed us the space and explained in detail on how to access the storage space and billing.

Tammy and her team have been very helpful and answered all my questions. Tammy is short but when I explained I had a tall ladder in my unit, she provided the replacement light I needed to be able to see. I highly recommend Tammy and the entire team
