I really love this place, friendly service, easy terms and flexibility. Process was simple and great people were nice and friendly, when I need storage again I know I'll be back, it was safe, clean and my things were stored successfully.

Esther was great in helping us find a unit that didn't have a giant pole in the middle. She was so patient and informative. We are happy with the unit we received and know that if we have any issues in the future, Esther will be there to help.

Esther is awesome helper! She helped us get our storage space easily and since the space we reserved for was unavailable, she went out her way to help us find another space within price and even bigger given our circumstances. She’s awesome.

Great facility and competent, friendly staff. I planned to have a unit for a month and it’s been 4 years now because the rates are great (somehow cheaper than East bay?) and the place secure. The building is clean and well-lit so it doesn’t feel creepy. All cement and metal so it’s both secure and doesn’t encourage mold, insects and other things that would get into wood, if it had wooden walls or doors.

The people at this location are helpful, friendly, and always happy. I still have a personal unit there and I am always treated great.

Kind of letting me pay all those money for storage place but you not allowed to sit there and actually go through the stuff in your storage you pretty much have to drop off or pick up and have a certain time limit to be there otherwise they'll kick you out and suspend your storage I was there for 20 minutes and I was getting harped on when I was looking through my stuff for a piece of paper that I needed to find he's kind of ridiculous to pay the money we should be able to sit there and be able to go through the stuff in our storage it's kind of why people get storages cuz it's extra stuff that they have that they need to look through they don't have time to look through so it's put away the side until they do so might be looking at another storage place soon

I booked my storage unit online and it was breeze! The storage facility is extremely clean and safe. I really appreciated all the help and instructions from Brandon, the manager working the counter at the time I visited. Highly recommend!!!

I am very disappointed in how I have been treated here I’ve been there less then a month I am in between finding a new home so I frequent there to get my clothes which is a problem in the contract because there is no loitering I am however getting ready to go on a trip i I have been trying to pack my clothes I cleaned my unit out so I can find things better came back the next day to Start packing my suitcase i later receive a call saying that they reviewed the cameras I was in my storage unit for a hour one day and half an hour the next and that I am loitering prior to that I have not been in the storage unit for nothing Over ten minutes I am being told that I have a breach of contract to the point they called my phone hours after I left mind you nobody was on the office when I arrived or left so I now feel targeted as a individual . This is not my only storage unit in this building while I visited the other unit I never received any complaints i will be moving my things ASAP and will definitely never encourage you store here if you may have to visit your storage frequently mind you when I entered it was a gentleman leaving I was packing for 30 min ( definitely not loitering like I don’t have anything better to do with my time then be at a storage) but as I left the same gentleman was sitting on the property using a laptop and maybe WiFi while I am loitering

Stuff! We all need a place to put our stuff. There's a whole industry created just to keep an eye on our STUFF" - George Carlin Excellent operation. I got in on like a 2-month trial discount they were running. When the regular rate kicked I'm, didn't phase me. Still very competitive rate and I knew but then it was good spot. They just had a big remodel so a lot of it's new. The elevators, the automatic doors, work magically and perfectly. There's a half circle driveway that comes in the building in a really large parking areas. 7 months I get to see any log jam. On those rainy days, you can unload out of the rain. Might be tough right before or after a Giants game- 2 blocks from the Ballpark. Major Plus versus Giants fans cuz you can drop stuff off there, then catch a game. I'm like most people I think in that I'm particular about where I put my stuff. And I would prefer that some cool people are running the place that use to put my stuff. Brandon and Esther are cool. he runs a good operation. Nice guy, professional, good vibe. He's also a pro drummer here in The City . As am I.( No effect whatsoever on the integrity of this review) Esther awesome. She's very good-it-done type. It's like a legal secretary all over it. And I've gotten into a couple of good conversations with her on occasion. So, if you need a place to put your stuff, I recommend these guys at Public Storage.

I could not be more happy with my experience renting a storage unit with this Public Storage facility. There were some logistics I needed to work out so I went to the location in person, and I'm so glad I did. Esther at the front desk was SO helpful and patiently talked me through all my options and gave me a tour of the available units. I'm honestly looking forward to more interactions with her in the future. In addition, not only does this facility have the cheapest rates in the area (trust me, I did my homework), but it is absolutely spotless. They clearly take very good care of the place, which makes me even more comfortable storing my belongings there. If there were 6 stars, I would give it to them (especially Esther).

I am new to San Francisco and I came to this location because it had the right size unit for the best price. Esther, the woman who helped me get started, was very kind and social. She shared with me many locations on the perfect lookouts for the Golden Gate bridge and some additional interesting locations to check out within the Bay Area. None of that was necessary but it definitely made me feel more welcome in a new city and I really appreciated it. Thanks Esther! Fact: they have a manager who lives on site and he knows that place better than the back of his hand. He knew my lockers location without hesitation when the number was mentioned. Fact: they will put a hold on payments for active duty military.

As a project manager for office relocations I have to interact with a lot of storage unit employees. The team at this storage place are above and beyond. Brandon was great. This wasn't a sign-in here, your unit's that way (points finger) type of person. As I showed up with a few moving trucks and started to introduced myself telling him I was moving "a client's" items in, he already knew what company I was moving and where the new unit was. We got tips on how to make it easier, the best parking/path-of-travel and Brandon went out of the way to make it quicker, super friendly. Finally, I've been there 4 times in 2 days and everyone had masks the whole time, which I really appreciate +++

First Impression, the Day-to-Day, and On My Way Out the Door... My name is Marlan Hines. I am a small business owner. In August of 2019 I was hit by an Uber Driver while cycling in San Francisco. I was tying up lose ends before I set flight to cycle the Pyrenees and raise much needed funds and awareness for world-wide cancer prevention research. This accident happened only days before I was scheduled to moved out of a space I was renting in a 3 bedroom flat. The move was necessary in order to maintain my sanity (terribly controlling landlord). I preface my review with the aforementioned info in an effort to set the stage... When I walked into Public Storage and met with Brandon he put my stressed out, banged up, and bruised mind, body, and spirit at ease. Unknowingly, he turned one of the single most stressful times in my life into a seamless experience. Working on a shoestring budget while hounding the movers to pep it up was wearing me thin. Brandon made me know, I was going to be ok. He went out of his way to make my move in day run smooth. Upon my return to the states, I was homeless for a brief stint. But looking at my appearance you would know it. The show must go... I was in and out of that blasted storage unit more than I’d care to admit. Most times I was either running to an appointment or running from one trying to secure my next nights sleep. I had very little time for small talk. Brandon met me where I stood. But he wasn’t alone. Denennia was an excellent addition to my experience at the facility. She helped normalize my back and forth. She never once looked at me or treated me with disdain. And I appreciate that. Denennia understood my disposition without knowing any of the details when it appeared that other members of the staff couldn’t care less - or had a “business as usual” attitude. Even when the facility experienced issues, do to normal wear and tear, and the company arbitrarily increase my rent by nearly 100.00 per month - $89.00 to be exact, Denennia made me feel like a valued customer not just a $ sign. But the 5th Gold Star (which I rarely give, mean come on nothing’s perfect) goes to Robert. I’ll admit, we didn’t get off on the best foot (probably because we have a bit more in common than I’d care to admit) - we’re human. However, when it counted most, due to poor planning on my part, almost costing me $400.00, money I desperately needed to keep my fledgling nonprofit organization afloat, Robert put our history aside and stepped up to meet the needs of the customer without my even having to ask. And for that, I am truly thankful. Overall this place is helluh expensive!!!!! But the customer service is worth every penny. Will I come back? Probably not. Remember, I’m running a small nonprofit, I can’t afford it. Would I recommend this location? ABSOLUTELY!!!

This facility is well managed. I have used this site to store materials for a popular street fair for years. Never had any problems. The staff is friendly & very helpful.

The number of storage units available in the neighborhood has dwindled in recent years due to continued development, but Public Storage remains at this prime location at 2nd and Branann. Very convenient if you live nearby. Pricing is reasonable, there's a limited amount of parking inside and the staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. I'm told there are at least 1,000 storage units here. I had a unit for 18 months, and it was always clean and accessible (though, predictably, parking can be tricky at the beginning and end of the month). Move in and move out was quick and effortless.

Usually one to two staffs there but they do their best. I never had issues going in and coming out. Unlike the other storage near brannan street, that was not public storage, some other random one I used, it had rats and rodents.... This location was free of that and had such better access. The only downside would be if it is busy and you're really unlucky. It's usually busy during school start and school ending. If its busy here, it'd be hard to park and move around. It is fairly small

What's not to like about this place? Helpful staff, easy parking, security door, no-nonsense pricing. My recent experience was no exception. I had to consolidate three units down to 1. (Long story) . Not only the staff worked me to find the best option but the staff called me to let me know they found even better option! Do not hesitate to trust your belonging with this facility.

Clean, easy booking, and excellent service. We booked online and the unit we reserved wasn't available so we got an upgrade for the same price. Brandon is very helpful and up front with all the fees and expected rent raises - we even got tips on best times to drop by based on traffic. Highly recommend for those new to town.

Ashley was very nice and helpful getting set up including checking additional options, etc. Nice, clean facility. But wish access was open past 6p weekdays as for commuters, difficult to make it in time (also not early enough in am), would appreciate if could stay open at least until 7p. Same with weekends, open past 5p would be helpful. Understand break-Ins were happening when open until 10p/no attendant, just requesting opening til 7p staffed (at least a few days a week - M, W, F or Tu/Th), maybe stagger later morning opening on those days for staff schedules.

The local operation is great - very convenient to book and confirm a unit. Brandon was friendly and efficient and made the process easy. That being said, they deserve one star due to their deceptive pricing practices. At the six month mark, my monthly rate was increased by 30%. My original contract was not promotional and an increase at the 6/12/18/24+ month mark was not communicated (contractually they are allowed to increase your rent at will with 30 days notice). They seem to be employing the Comcast business model - continually inch up your rates because you won't want to deal with the hassle of switching. I mean they're right, I don't want to hire another moving truck and spend hours moving my stuff so I will just accept it for the next six months. Then they'll do it again, I'll be mad again, and I'll just accept it again because moving is the worst. It is a storage unit and it's fine. Just know that at the six month mark they'll increase your rent by 30% and I imagine they'll do the same every six month going forward.

The property manager and all employees at this location are always patient and helpful. I had a great experience with Kendall the other day when there was a blackout of the Public Storage online system; she was very calm and collected, and managed to figure out a way to accomplish what was needed offline (we ended up handling everything by phone).

This is a really solid, clean facility, and the folks who work here are nice and want to provide a good experience. Great location too. Just make sure to check the opening hours as they aren’t open too late in the evening.

Hello, I recently rented a storage unit for about 4 months at this storage. It was really cheap and I shopped around before I finally came here. I checked out a couple of days ago and had received great customer service. Kendall Toms always smiled and had a great sense of humor. She made it easy to check out and even helped me sweep the storage unit before I left. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for an easy and friendly place to rent a storage unit.

I've had my unit for a minute now and I couldn't be more satisfied with this facility. To start with, the location is easy to get to and convenient for cars to pull in, unload or load and then pull out. The facility itself is super cool, it's some sort of historic wearhouses with brick walls that makes me want to know more of what the building once was. The office area is neat and organized with a spotless bathroom. The facility provides carts for your storage needs, and they are all very easy to maneuver on the concrete floor. Everything in this building is somehow spotless. I was amazed at how clean it is in here. They offer a variety of different silzed units, and while I have a 4x6 unit (which seems like something the size of a coffin, I have more than enough room for my belongings. If you need to dig out something buried in the back of your unit, the spacious hallway allows you to pull stuffed out without being cramped or in the way. The staff is amazing, professional yet still personable and they have no problems offering to help you of they notice how much your struggling with the 19 bags you have on one cart. They are also very accommodating. Spotless facility, great location, great SECURE units, accommodating and friendly- I would absolutely recommend Public Storage to my friends and family. And the best part, my unit was only a buck for the first month. What's there not to be happy about? And lastly, Manager Brandon, he is a super worker, extremely helpful as well as caring and polite. He just came up to check on me to make sure everything was ok. That was incredibly nice. Thank you Brandon!

Awful. No alarm system. Poorly lit. Public Storage rent is the HIGHest around for 100 miles in any direction. No use of ANY outlets, even for charging phones(will confiscate charger & phone!) No use of onsite dumpsters, so you must carry any trash out with you. No ventilation of any kind. Rent increases sometimes 35%/quarter. I ran out of money, so my unit was auctioned off, just like on Storage Wars. WARNING: Read your contract! DO NOT RUN OUT OF MONEY! Try any other company, you will be happier.

I’ve been renting a unit here for almost 13 years. It’s the best storage facility. Climate controlled, no issue with fog damage, great central location on 2nd and Brannan and well managed. Feels safe at all times and is kept clean. Perfect storage facility if you live or work need South Beach or anywhere near downtown or Soma.

I had stored my entire apartment there for 3 1/2 years and just cleared out the unit. I was extremely impressed becaue there wasn’t any damage and NO signs of mice/bugs. The staff was extremely kind, helpful and willing to help me find solutions to donating some of the items. Would definitely recommend this location!

Ai’ana and Brandon were amazingly helpful with all our storage needs. They were very knowledgeable and friendly, and their customer service was much better than what I’ve received from the people at the 800 number for customer support.

I had a unit here for just over a year and the entire experience was excellent. The customer service from their staff was unbelievable and the building was clean and secure. The parking was convenient and despite the downtown location, was easy to access.

Edited review in retrospect: Overall okay experience here. Service by Brandon! Something was not right about it: first got sold a lock without me saying "yes", the lock was already on my storage door, smooth. Meanwhile I brought ACTUALLY my own lock....Nice sales well, if you done this for a long time, you perfect it through practicing it daily. Then before I understood how this all happened, Brandan asks me to "leave a good review, because the manager asks for it". Now I realized I was sold something without commitment, then was asked to leave a review....remove my two stars. SORRY GUYS.

In December of 2017, I was in need of a storage unit and decided to rent a unit from the Public Storage at 611 2nd Street in San Francisco, CA. Upon my arrival, I was met by a gentleman named Brandon who is the manager of this location. He was kind and helpful in answering the questions that I had and showing me what the differences were in the size and cost of the available units so that I could choose which one best fit my need. I received an offer for one month free storage and was able to conveniently pay online. I was grateful for Brandon, for his time and the excellent customer service that he provided. When it was time for me to retrieve my belongings, Brandon was there and provided the same excellent customer service that he did when I moved my belongings in. I really appreciated it and I highly recommend this particular Public Storage to anyone in the area in need of a storage unit.

The staff at this location is great. Brandon is so helpful and gives a great level of service. The facility is pretty clean compared to multiple other storage facilities I have used.

Everything was clear and organized. Brandon was extremely helpful and concise, and he got me in and out very quickly.

I needed some extra space as no one has enough space in San Francisco. I really enjoyed being able to drive up and park my car inside the facility. I was given a very good and quick tour and had my storage unit within 15 minutes. Erica did a great job.

Inadequate security coupled with disreputable insurance. Burglars were allowed to scout units worthy of lock-picking, and now that my equipment worth thousands has been stolen, insurance company (behind the policy that was sold to me by Public Storage) is disputing my claim because padlock was picked, so that's not a sign of forced entry according to them. I plan to move out in spite of fact that I live few blocks away from the space and next one will probably be much further away.

I used this place when I first moved to SF and was impressed by the professionalism of the staff as well as the security of the units. When I was in between places a few months later, I had all of my belongings in my car and it was broken into. Needing a safe place to store the things I had left, I turned to these guys. They went out of their way to help me in my time of need - couldn't recommend this place more.

Absolutely terrible service. Moving in was a complete nightmare. Horrible. Never us them! Management never even responded to my multiple emails complaining. I reserved our unit online, I rented it with first month only $1. I had stopped by the office to "move in", in reality all I wanted to do was sign, pay, and get setup in person. Well their computer system was down that day so they couldn't do anything with me. They were nice and at least showed me the unit I had rented in person. Not at any time during our conversations during this tour did they say that I was required to make an appointment to come back when their computer system was up and running. So I came back during the same week, just a few days later and they had cancelled my online reservation without the simple customer service of telling me that they were going to do this. An email or a phone call would have been nice. So now at this point, we urgently need the space, so the worker simply re-rented me the exact same unit, however the rent went up and the promotion went away. He claimed there was nothing he can do even though he was the one who personally cancelled my reservation with cheaper rent and said promotion. So computer was up, I signed my life away, moved in and paid the ridiculous hike in rent for something that wasn't my fault. So after many emails and phone calls to the "on-site manager" which never responded, emails to corporate office and formal complaint with the BBB, Public Storage has never once responded. So RUN, if you can, use anyone else, I mean ANYONE else you can. They truly could care less, all they want is your money. Still disgruntled (unless of course Public Storage reads this and makes their delayed amends and changes my rent, like they should!)

I highly recommend this Public Storage site! I don't live in the San Francisco area, but I was helping a friend move down there recently and the ease and flexibility and absolute wonderful customer service Brandon, Mia, Wanda, and Dominique provided was exemplary! They even provided accurate directions to Union Square so I could be a tourist! I think they are absolutely wonderful and that they should receive some sort of recognition for the great work that they do!

We worked with Tangie to pickout and rent a space today, and had a very pleasant experience. It was quick and easy thanks to Tangie. We discussed our storage needs, she showed us several different sizes, she explained the different pricing, and made picking very easy.
