Ive had a stroage space here for several months. They can adjust your rate anytime. I swung by today and my access code didnt work. The app didnt work either to allow access. There is no one there to talk to, the robot number tree didnt help either, just sent me the access code again. There are no available agents to talk to on the online chat on their website. Very unreliable. I do not trust them and need to find a way to get to my unit.

I was in a rush because I just recently bought a home and I thought public storages were an expensive options. Luckily, I had Ana to help out with this problem and provide great customer service despite my last minute check in. I was provided an available space and she even provided a deal because I was only leaving my things for a month.

We have rented space at the Kearney storage for over a year now. The site manager is so nice and helpful , even offered to help with some trash we had!!
Never had a problem there. Clean area and they are always checking their surroundings. I am not a tech app guy so she offered to show us how to use the app anytime!

Jay was friendly and very helpful in our storage unit experience. We were able to figure out the best size and price point without hassle. This local Public Storage is a definite resource for putting away some extra stuff during moves (and maybe a little longer too).
Had a great experience with Ana the Property Manager. She was professional, courteous and super helpful.
No issues except that they keep raising rent. In first couple months it went from $88 to like $150, then after a year $200, now just over 2 years in rent is $235!! Outrageous!!! That is almost 300 percent increase!!! Storage is ok but there are nicer ones out there. Also they close gates early (5 or 6 pm depending). Similar storage units renting for $150, they are clearly taking advantage and gouging people that don't want to deal with moving storage locations.
Out of all the storage units I had in the past, this one was by far the best one I ever had. Never had any issues with the access or employees that work there and it helped me a lot before I moved up North. On my last day after 4+ years, Dondie was there and I was able to get help from him and close out my storage/account with no issues. Thanks again! - Patrick M.

The property is extremely clean with a convenient location right off the 15 hwy. Ana was so courteous and professional and I was incredibly impressed with her and this property she manages! Reserving and then formally Booking a unit took under 5 minutes online and getting my access at the front office couldn’t have been easier when I arrived. Tbh I had heard some horror stories about self storage and I’m grateful that this location/the online terminal for public storage made the experience way easier than I was expecting.
The wonderful attendant at the office helped me get a second unit sorted on very short notice and even offered to keep an eye out for a single large unit when it became available for me.
Then, when I ultimately didn’t need the second unit it took her seconds literally to sort that out and not charge me for it despite my having just paid the rent. I originally went in to the office to tell her I wouldn’t need it so she could put it back on her inventory list, assuming rent was just paid, but might as well let her know it’d be empty. she offered to refund my months rent and just held onto the admin fee which is more than fair. I wasn’t expecting a refund at all since I had just rented it minutes earlier lol.
I’ll definitely be recommending this place to others. Great experience and the office/facilities and the storage areas are clearly well looked after.

Absolutely useless. We booked a unit weeks in advance, were called the day before our reservation to confirm that we still wanted the space, confirmed that we did, and showed up the next day to get the key only to be told they didn't have a unit for us. Had to scramble just to find a second place near us as our POD was coming that same day. The people in their office are nothing more than receptionists who cant do anything without calling a manager who is constantly "busy" or "in a meeting". Joke of a facility.

Complete bait and switch. They started me off at 125/ month. Within 3 months tried to jack the price up to $158. After 6 months they did. just recently they upped the process to $174. Corporate greed at its finest! I will be moving out soon. Do NOT start with these people. They do NOT care about you or your business! Compete scammers! 💯! Stay away!

I have only dealt with Ana at this location, and she is the best! She patiently and kindly answered all of my questions, she showed me how the app can open the gate, and made my check-in so easy. Ana was super helpful in setting me up. The website was giving me issues, but sue was patient and friendly in helping set me up with my account at the office. They have their app which allows me to access the gate without even punching in a code anymore, making it super convenient. This location looks super clean and I'm glad I got a spot here.

In need a of a 5'x8' storage unit in a rush. This is my first purchase of a storage unit and I had a great experience. Ana was an absolute delight, going above and beyond showing me the available units. She even found one that was even more convenient!!! Ana also assisted me in making sure the Public Storage app was functioning correctly and I was out within the hour! Clean, secure, I would recommend this place.
I was sitting out back of public storage eating a sandwich and chips. Enjoying the surroundings of nature. Listening to traffic on the 15. The bird's all tweeting. Crow's cawling at each other. Just another area to get away from everyone.

Robbed, no visible sign of entry to my storage.. 5 months later they raise my 10x10 rate that started 1 year ago at 120 to 218 a month ..? No update on theft .. others robbed .. police no help .. when you call police you have to stay there until they arrive .. or be very very close to meet them in minutes., I waited 6 hours to do a police report., .. Staff was nice but uninformed.. security is poor

Convenient clean and safe location which is what a lot of people storing usually look for, also they have friendly staff which is a plus!
The kearny Mesa website only shows pics of a single car garage roll up door. Beware some of the units have only a regular size person doorway. When this wouldn’t work for my needs location said they would refund IN FULL, but then sent me a check $23 short saying I was charged an admin fee! I never used their service! To make matters worse the check was not cashable by their bank! It’s been 9 mos and I have not received one cent of the $73 I was charged for a unit I never set one foot in! PS is shady, deceptive, unprofessional and out to hustle the consumer any way they can.
