I went in on the 4th to secure a unit and had a pleasant experience with Fatima. She was helpful and friendly. I met Josh on the 11th, and he was also very helpful and a pleasure to encounter. I've read some of the reviews, and I do believe that when people get upset, they say things to discourage others from renting a unit. I've rented through public storage sporadically over a 31-year time span, and I've never had a bad experience. I've read reviews about their facilities being dirty; I've never seen that either. In fact, I used to work for public storage, and we had to keep the property clean, and public storage still stands by that. I've rented from other companies, and I regret trying to "get a deal." I'm back at public storage, where I feel most comfortable. Climate control is something that I would never skimp on again. I almost passed out at the other company's storage facility.

This is one of the better PS locations. The staff here are kind and helpful. They helped us shuffle some vehicles around spots when we had challenges. Very clean & secure storage. Sorry for the double parks when I was running in and out. I have multiple spots and just go too fast some times.

Fatima at this location is amazing! She knows her stuff, and from the beginning of us renting two large storage units…had been super helpful with our questions and any follow up needs! Specifically I had a problem with the App and access and she fixed the system issue right up! Thanks Fatima for your help and being so knowledgeable!

Very OVERPRICED for a place understaffed, dirty, with very poor security. I and a lot of other customers got ripped off a while back because they sacrificed security for profits and convenience. There are new storage companies in the nearby area that are better priced, clean and very secure, with true full air-conditioning even. Do your homework !

I had to come to this property because “JOSH” lost the keys to the facility at 9890 Pacific Heights. Not only did he lose the keys and jeopardize the security this further as we all waited there waiting to see what was going to happen another tennis unit was broken into in all of his stuff was stolen +4 very expensive guitars! No one is ever in the office to help us and win someone is there like Josh they are completely unreliable and incompetent. He should be embarrassed to even be wearing a name tag or a Public Storage shirt. If I were him I wouldn’t even want to be recognized as the property manager when it is literally a joke he has the audacity to admit he’s the manager. Unbelievable! The units are beyond over priced anyways. It’s unbelievable how fast they raise the rates and how much they raise the rates. Never in your French toast life rent a Public Storage save yourself the impending DOOM they will send you through and just rent at cubesmart or A-1 Self Storage. At least you’ll get 24 hour access and some respect.

Save yourself the time of coming here even if you made an appointment because they are never open. They should be but they are not for some reason always when you come the doors are always locked and unfortunately that is also the restrooms are located. And the woman who works at the front desk is very nice when she is there but it’s not often we can speak with someone in person.

They are tricky. This company have you move in with a really good deal, few months later they will increase the price and then again, and again. I didn’t notice because I was on autopay on the last time I was with them. Now this time I moved to a different location thinking it would be different and now with autopay off. And just a few months in, sure enough. Rent increased.. i am barely being able to pay the initial price. I can’t find an email on the app to send them a request to review it. Only way to talk to them is calling.

Do not come here. The first man could be 150 but in two months to rent is going to be 500 and then we cancel your cozy you can come in and nobody’s in the office to help you so you’re stuck and they treat your stuff like it belongs to them

Very helpful getting in and out. Make sure you really shop. Sometime going up a size might be cheaper. With in the different areas you could again find a better price for driving 5 mile more and if the special is right it could save you $%$.

Don't leave your vehicle here for storage, thieves will get in and steal the catalytic converter! The facility may have cameras, but they aren't the deterrence you would expect them to be. The surrounding walls are low enough that anyone can get over and mess around. You have been warned!

I was really anxious about my upcoming move and finding an affordable storage option while looking for a home. Also, I am very visual and was having a hard time figuring out the size of the unit that I needed. JR was absolutely fantastic and made the process seamless and efficient. He was extremely helpful, walked me through everything that I needed to know, and even answered questions that I had after I left the facility and called him on my way home. They have an app that makes payments easy and efficient and individual keys to each unit (so you don't have to bring your own).

Literally I thought public storage was a good reputable company. I don't even know where to begin. I had two storage spaces, one for my car one for my stuff. When I logged online to see what I owed, my account only showed one space, the one with my stuff. The one with my car wasn't associated with my online profile and I couldn't find or figure out how to add the car one to it. I called and called and finally someone answered and was super apologetic so I actually was super thankful for that. She said that all my fees would be waived until they figure out a way to add the car storage unit to my account. I called some more because I waited a couple weeks and no one got back to me and I still wasn't able to pay my amount because I didn't have my account up and I wanted to see what I was paying for each time, not just pay over the phone. Finally when I got to someone this time, I said I had about $100 in late fees but no one would get back to me, I just kept calling. When I finally got through to someone, he said that he could try and put my situation through a system to see if the system takes the fees away. He said it didn't "pass the test" or whatever it was to get my fees taken away so, since it's protocol to just trust a robot, he said sorry and dropped it. I asked him for the district manager's number so I could talk to someone higher up. I left three messages at the district manager's phone and never got a call back. Finally, I called customer service. The menu never actually brings you to a customer service rep by selecting a number, it only works if you just continue to stay on the line and wait for a customer service rep to be the only option. THen I was able to talk to the customer service rep and he was able to waive me fees no problem, no questions. TLDR: it was jumping through so many hoops to communicate my issuel, no one would follow through with their help with my situation, and I was not able to get my fees waived, which were their fault, just because it wasn't their protocol. Even though they messed up.

Alexis and Justine were extremely helpful with finding me a space for my car and also making my rental and vacate nice and easy for me. The girls in the office are so patient and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this location if you need storage.

I rented a storage space for $187.00 in September. Even though I was told rent increases are normally only 10%-15% the rent increased to $246.00 in March. That's an increase of over 31%. I'm so glad I'm not out of the area and stuck with the increase. If you plan on leaving the area I would suggest finding a facility that offers fixed pricing.

Brittany is by far the best Public Storage customer service attendant I've ever worked with. Period. Here's why: today, I was letdown by another storage facility who promised a deal to lure me in, and then pulled a.bait-and-switch on me last minute. Having driven from LA to SD during my moving trips down here, I had to act fast and find an alternative storage space to move music gear while traveling from LA to SD this week. By the time I decided to change companies, I had 15 minutes to call Public Storage to reserve a unit. I tell you, I am so glad that I got to work with Brittany to secure my storage unit. Even though the facility was 2 minutes from closing, Brittany stayed after 6pm closing time, walked me through the facility with no rush, really took the time to make sure I got the perfect storage unit I needed, worked efficiently and explained everything in great detail that I could understand, and even helped me other moving supplies I needed today. Everything was so seemless and professional, yet.friendly and so accomodating to my urgent moving circumstance--I really wanted to write this sincere and detailed THANK YOU LETTER for Brittany. I don't know if Public Storage could find a better employee than her. If Brittany is not already promoted or entrusted with a managerial promotion, I definitely believe she's one of the very few workers that GENUINELY did her job and went beyond the typical conglomerate corporate minimum duties. I went to this location to get moving supplies and some information on storage unit sizes, prices, availability, etc. I was helped by Ariel on this visit and I must give credit where credit is due!! I left satisfied with all the supplies I came for and was able to knock everything out in one stop! Very convenient and saved me a ton of time so I was able to get busy with the move. We had a lovely experience with Public Storage. We had a problem - we needed to store our boat for the winter - and they helped us find a solution - affordable, secure storage. I spoke with Ariel on the phone to book the reservation and she was positive and helpful. And it got even better when we came in person on Sunday to store the boat. Both Gary and Chris were welcoming, patient and knowledgeable and they made the whole experience easy and pleasant. My friend owns a storage unit here and I went with him to move some items. I needed some help with a few things and wanted some questions answered. I asked the manager Michael some questions about my friend's unit and he was great. Michael was very helpful and was very patient in answering my questions and went out of his way to help me and my friend out with his unit. I've rented at a few storage units myself in the past and so has my friend and Michael was by far one of the best employees I've encountered in this business.

I rented a space here only to find out I could have gone online to get the space for much cheaper. When I brought this up to management they didn't care, they refused to treat me with any care or respect. JR was rude and inconsiderate. Rip off artist. I would not recommend any one rent from this place. They are only looking to sign up new customers. Once your a customer they don't treat you well. Horrible experience!!!

The first month $1 offer is a good way to get you into the idea of getting a locker here. Buying online they tell you that there is a $24 startup fee which isn't a big deal either. Unfortunately they don't tell you prior to showing up that you'll have to buy a $20 lock that only they have as well purchasing insurance for your items you store which is at least another $11. If it was an option to purchase the insurance or not, the sales representative never mentioned it. All in all what you may think could be a $25 purchase quickly triples to around a $72 purchase. I'm sure the quality of the service is great but its a little dishonest to have hidden costs to nickel and dime you once you are interested in them instead of being upfront about it if you research it online which makes me not want to ever use them again.

I was at my storage to pick up some of my stuff and one of worker his name Traveon stop by my storage and ask me how is everything work for you..? I answer everything is going well. I have been storag my stuff here at public storage For almost a yere I feel safe and secure ... I know a little pricey but no choice.

Desiree and Trevon and Stephen helped us get a unit. They were friendly and informative. They were extremely Patient with us as our two year old was pretty wild and wanted to run everywhere. I would definitely recommend coming here for a unit

I came in for my boyfriend who is in the military and just wanted to ask around for prices. He is deploying and I wanted to make sure his stuff is taken care of. I have never stored before and didn't know what to expect. It can be scary! But...Zack was amazing. He walked me through the property and showed me what units would work best. Even though we won't need storage for another month, I know where we will go and who to ask for help. Jason was great!! He answered all of our questions extensively and offered information that would be very helpful to know, for example that we would need a plastic tarp to cover our stuff so it wouldn't get dusty since we chose a drive up unit. Also very fast and efficient with paperwork. Good to know, Public Storage offers a great safety net for deployed military so our stuff doesn't get auctioned off if payments don't go through for some reason until you get back from deployment and have a chance to pay your debt.

Was forced to leave 5 star review, therefore will write what I really think. The property is convinient to move in, good condition of storages, location is good too. The only thing that upset me is very rude personal staff, un profesional language use, desire to forcefully sell boxes and locks that I didn't need. There is no sense to ask any help with questions because all what I've got was- call to our corporate phone. Needless to say that they ruined my day and changed whole presentation of the brand Public storage. When I'm done with them I will never have another storage with them.

Public Storage Mira Mesa is a great place to do business. I rented 2 storerooms for household goods and could not have been more pleased with the professional and friendly staff. I would recommend this business to anyone needing storage facilities and efficient, nice people to help make storage a smooth process.
