Alicia was absolutely awesome. She helped me get into my unit when I could not access it. She helped me find the right key on my key ring. She is by far the best property manager here and I have been a long time customer here for over 6 years. She is very smart, thorough, and so very polite. She exceeded my expectations of excellence in customer service. She is an outstanding asset to your company!

My spouse and I have a unit at this location and it has been broken into two times over the past five years, No one is ever in the office! They broke into a ton of other units on the same floor as well it looks like they were going to empty me out because they prepared all of our belongings by stacking them all up but ended up leaving half of some of our clothes and shoe boxes stacked up on the side, Maybe somebody scared them off, who knows? But unfortunately the insurance that we are required to have does not cover any of our clothes! Insurance says they don’t cover any shoes clothing jewelry or any personal goods and without a receipt they won’t cover any losses without the receipt. Our TV was $4000 and I don’t even want to get on the Bose system that was stolen. But insurance capped out at $5000 maximum in coverage costa they would be willing to cover. We are literally speechless and beyond angry. We are completely devastated. We asked to see the footage but they said we could not look at the security cameras and that an officer would have to do so and the officer doesn’t know what he’s looking for so this is not even being taken serious by the police. In the future take inventory of everything that you have and if it’s something that is extremely precious to you do not put it in this facility keep it with you or put it in a bank. Period.

It was super easy to reserve and pay for our unit online, that already gave me a good feeling about the company. The app works great to gain access through the gate, easy contact less access. Once I got there, I couldn't figure out where my unit was lol so I asked the gentleman at the front desk for help. Wish I would had asked for his name, he was really friendly, great customer service skills, he not only told me where it was, he walked me over and told me the little shortcut for faster access once inside (side exit door that leads right to the parking spot). Units are clean, climate controlled and security cameras in the areas. Overall, I feel great storing my belongings here.

I visited public storage on Mira Mar public storage. I live a little ways away, but chose to store with the mira mar because they had great reviews and they truly live up to the reputation. Dulce was excellent from her customer service to her great personality. The facility was extremely clean and it gave me a feeling that my things were stored safely. Please beware. My sister’s storage was broken in, thousands of dollars worth of stuff was stolen. “24 hour surveillance” and you have to have a code to enter elevators to get to your floor but there were no surveillance footages. Large items were taken. Washer, dryer, Craftmans tool chest & many more items. How can large items like that be stolen that easily? Inside job? Customer service was awful. My family had a house fire & had to have their stuff stored until they found another home. Do you understand how difficult it is to go through a house fire and then have your stuff stolen but they showed no sympathy. Lady at the desk was nonchalant & could careless. Had so many excuses when asked about surveillance footages. They also had insurance on their unit but it turned out to be useless. Things like this do happen but how they handled it was horrible.

This place is pretty cool, Lisa helped me out getting everything set up she's a beautiful lady and was very helpful explained all those nitty gritty details through the rental process even showed me how to use the mobile app to access the property which is a pretty awesome feature they have and she made me comfortable leaving my stuff telling me about her routine walks to check all the locks on the property awesome.

Had the unit for only 2 months and someone broke into our storage unit and stole some valuable/personal things. Which mind boggles me because you need a code to get in and out, on top of trying get to your unit depending which floor. No one in the staff cared when we were reporting it nor try to help us even though there are security cameras facing at the elevator. Would give zero stars if I could.

Chris possesses excellent salesmanship abilities. He worked with me to get the best unit for my needs and at the best rate possible. He greeted kindly when I entered the business office. THIS STORAGE COMPANY IS OVER PRICED, OVER COMPLICATED EVEN A CODE FOR THE ELEVATOR THAT ONLY LASTS 15 SECONDS (TRAPPED IN ELEVATOR SEVERAL TIMES) AND YOU CAN’T CALL TO UPDATE INFO, THEY MAKE YOU DRIVE ALL THE WAY BACK THERE.

Cameron was a huge help and got me through the leasing process very quickly. I feel safe storing things here.

DO NOT RENT HERE unless you are short-term. After 6 months, they raised my rent from $260 to $305 per month, almost a 20% increase. Had I known that they would be this greedy, I would have rented somewhere else. At one year, they raised the rent to $360 per month. That is close to a 40% increase in rent in one year. If it were an apartment, it would be illegal to do this. It’s still immoral. Stay away from this storage place. They know how much trouble it is to move and they take advantage. They are completely dishonest. UPDATE: At 3 years, they have now raised rent to $470, nearly double the original rent. They should be ashamed. And now at 4 years, they have raised the rent to $512. These people are greedy beyond all possible belief. I will be vacating, as now it’s more of a ‘shame on me l’ for staying. This during a Covid epidemic. I’d appeal to their humanity, but they have none. These people are pure evil. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

I have been renting from PS for over 10 years now and I just had the absolute BEST customer service from Lisa at the 8866 Miramar location. I had a tricky request around adding authorized individuals and as well as a lock issue that was totally my fault; she fixed it in lightning speed. She is by far the MOST helpful person I have encountered at this storage company and believe that she should be recognized for her exemplary service.

Lisa was the absolute best while we were transferring our unit to a larger one. She was extremely helpful and made sure we had the best experience possible.

UPDATE: My issue was resolved at a corporate level. I wish the district manager would have elevated my issue to them without me having to go around him and onto the internet. But I'm happy they took responsibility. I'm not one to write a 1 star review unless it is FULLY warranted (which I don't feel is very often). In this case, I've NEVER received as poor of customer service from a company than public storage. To be clear, I did receive helpful services from 2 women (I remember Angela was friendly) I met at the front desk, but unfortunately that doesn't even make me want to bump this up to two stars. The problem is I was told over the phone that if I needed a couple extra hours to move out on the first, they would adjust my account and not charge me for the entire month. I thought that was kind and appreciated the gesture. I called the night before and told them that in fact, I would need the extra couple hours in the morning and was told that that wasn't acceptable and they don't know who would have told me that was okay. Well obviously I wouldn't have thought that was okay if someone hadn't directly told me that. I was escalated to the district manager who was un-friendly, un-helpful, and made it sound like it was my fault. Said there was absolutely nothing they could do for me. Did not take an ounce of responsibility. Essentially the response was "oh well, that sucks. You were here for 12 extra hours so now we have to charge you for an entire month regardless of MY employee telling you otherwise". Okay David, real cool. I asked to talk to someone at a higher corporate level and was shut down. Even large-scale corporation who's first priority is the bottom line will still make exceptions when it was obviously an employees wrong-doing. I cannot believe they are more worried about $75 than customer relationships. Especially when times are VERY difficult for a lot of individuals right now. But who needs that money for rent and groceries right?

I used this Public Storage location for a little over 3 years and it was great! My items stayed very clean and the property was always very well lit and had good temperature inside. Melanie at the friend desk was awesome and so helpful! Update: just moved out of my unit and it was easy to close everything out and great customer service with Angela!

Lisa was a pleasure to deal with. She was kind enough to show us the available units and also a cheaper unit that was just was off the Rsvp list. This property is well maintained. One minor setback is that one of the elevators closest to our unit isn’t currently working, but we were assured that it will be fixed soon.

I don’t usually leave reviews, however, my encounter at Public Storage Miramar left me having to leave one. Junie, from the initial phone call to being walked around the property and being shown the units; had all the answers and tips to storage! I have never used storage but within minutes of dealing with her I knew this is the place I wanted to use and could tell it was safe and clean. Awesome place and props to Junie for really helping and selling it!!

Junie was amazing and extremely helpful and she has a very friendly and bubbly personality which made the whole experience pleasant.

Let's just say that u can only use the carts when someone is working in the front office to give u the key to unsecure a cart in one of the two lobbies. Then appon taking up a load to the storage unit my friend and I became trapped first in the elevator then when we finally got the door open and got out the elevator forcefully closed the door and wouldn't open to get our stuff out. I think any business that has elevators in their buildings is responsible the elevators working perfectly and flawlessly. So maybe they should get the Otis technician out there to make absolutely sure those elevators don't have any flaws or hiccups no matter how much that cost. The storage company is taking it in hand over foot. So flip the fu.... bill. Now, everytime I get into the elevator I document it. Cause next time it's called lawsuit.

Unfortunately I need to update my review. My locker was broken into with an axe. Not only that, but the offender put his own lock onto my locker so now I can’t access it. PublicStorage will not allow me to cut off the offenders lock, nor will they open the locker for me until “mid-November”, over 2 weeks from now. So I basically am locked out of my own locker despite paying rent.

Public Storage is my first experience in renting a storage unit, and it went very well. I took advantage of an online off of $1 for the first month, I made a reservation for the day to come in, simple. Then I met Junie at the front office who is a delight. She walked me through the entire process, showed me my unit, and really helped me out with my questions all with a smile.

Great customer service and run down of this facility! Junie helped us pick a prime location, and gave us a run down and all of the ins and outs. She was incredible and made us feel even more comfortable knowing the ins and outs, short cuts, nuances of the buildings, property times, features, everything! Very impressed! In the area, there are storage facilities speckled throughout. We found this Public Storage, and this location to be a great mix of value and space. Online rates were incredibly competitive for the area, and the facility is great. So when we discovered the customer attention to detail, that was just a plus! Ask for Junie, she knows all and will help you feel at home.

Well , yes ma'am there is...and your manager did not what so ever disclose that I needed to put my lock on it right away.it does not mean much with apologies from you, I lost 2 days of being able to get my things in there. Let alone I was hauling this stuff, (my life) in my car......sigh! 4 stars, assistant manager let me in the office so I can use restroom

not only have i had the annual fee increased, operation hours shortened, and general issues with the building.. i was accosted outside 2 days ago by the supposed building worker. i had been waiting outside for a friend to arrive so i could open the gate, she came up to me with immediate hostility and asked if there were any reason i had been standing in front of her gate. i said i have a locker here and even showed her my card. she didn't let up, told me i should be glad so...meone cares enough about the place to ask. meanwhile the place is a legit shithole. stains and dirt as old as I've been renting there (3 years) seriously no one has ever cleaned it once. after she threatened me with police i couldn't help but laugh and she walked away. is that anyway to treat a customer? i wouldn't give this dump my money or time ever again. i don't even think the company cares enough to resolve this issue honestly. also gates are constantly busted. bathroom DESTROYED, don't bother with this dump. also the place has rats. they put poison packets in all the lockers without telling anyone. maybe if they cleaned it wouldn't be an issue See more
