Worst place if your business open at 9.30 am you have to open at that time I been waiting out side since 9.30 am to 10.15 am you have to fallow your own timings public storage need to train there employees to be on time because of this delay my entire schedule got messed up

Access hours are 6AM-6PM everyday. Even with a code protected gate. Utter nonsense especially when people in the Bay work until 7 regularly. Do not recommend - why even bother if I can’t access the unit? Going to get a refund. Forget this noise!

*Edited* Miguel the new property manager was very knowledgeable and Super helpful! I recently change my storage locker's size so he found perfect solutions for a few big challenges I had. Miguel was also very professional and helpful with answers for all my multiple "move-in" questions. In my life I've had storage units at many different locations (and with different storage companies) with both great and very bad property managers (and their coworkers / employees) so I know that one factor makes all the difference in the world when it comes to feeling that you will get help when you need it and that your items are stored properly. I'm very grateful Miguel was hired, well trained and now is working at this locatiion, taking the place of Amelia (the last property manager) at Emeryville Public Storage. *Below is the unedited review I gave this location years ago* Amelia is amazing! They are always ready to help and answer any questions you have.

Miguel was extremely helpful today with explaining a problem I had with billing that I did not understand along with why the rates went up and was just very informative and helpful

On my move-in day the elevator was broken, so I had to use one that was very far away and doubled the time it took to load everything into the unit. While I was abroad, they told me they would be doing construction on the unit above me resulting in saw dust and other debris falling into my unit and I could use one of their ‘complementary’ tarps to cover my things with. I was not in the country so I couldn't do this. They then would not let my friend who was local do it, even tho she was on the list of people that could access my unit. (They would have had to break the lock and we gave the 3 days notice to do this but they still wouldn’t do it even when I wanted to do this so badly). Then they raised the price on my unit after a few months. Now that I’m finally able to take out my belongings from this god forsaken place, it’s all covered in this thick layer of dust from their construction. Getting into contact with someone to do anything here is impossible, I’ve been passed around, given emails, etc. it couldn’t matter less to them. The employee admitted they were in the wrong when I showed him my unit, gave my an email, but they won’t respond, I’ve tried. This was so stressful and I’ve wasted so much time dealing with this place. Now I get to clean all my stuff in addition to moving into my new place. Never will I come back here

Just wants to share my experience with closing out a unit at the Shellmound Emeryville location with Miguel. He provided great service making the close out very easy, fast, and super efficient. If I ever need storage services again I will not hesitate to use again thanks to Miguel!

Not open when it says it will be open.

Horrible service, you can rarely get someone inside of the office. I drove to 3 different locations between Berkeley and West Oakland before being able to get support with paying my bill. Their app wasn't working properly for a couple days, and they didn't give the option to take payments over the phone without paying extra fees, then they weren't able to do it at all. I had to pay my bill or risk it being late with added fines. Public Storage you could treat us better as long time customers.
