Confused, I checked the door for an out to lunch sign or any thing to understand why the person wasn't letting me in?? And then I left because... that was super unprofessional.

Been waiting for someone to show up at the office for over 45 mins after my appointment time. I called the central office and they stated they were cleaning a unit.. ok that’s fine, but I have appointment and it’s does seem to me that customers service is a priority.. This is the rudest and unprofessional experience I have ever had with a storage facility. Lights off and door locked at 1041am been here since 947am when they open at 930am.. appointment was at 10am.. after all the shenanigans that occurred the district manager raced over and made everything right. He is a true asset to public storage and their customer service reputation. He jumped right in and got things resolved.. Thanks again for all the help.

Yes, there is competition in the “you-store-it” marketplace. If you shop around, you may find a cheaper price for the “same” storage space. But once you really crunch the numbers, you’ll discover Public Storage has the others beat. The Alameda California Public Storage offers a convenient location, competitive prices and a variety of storage-space sizes to meet anyone’s need. Beyond that, sign-up was easy and close-out was even easier. My entire experience was exemplary. My favorite element was access using the mobile app. No more entering a six-digit code into a keypad. (That’s so 2009.) Bluetooth entry made entrance and exit a breeze. Thank you, Public Storage!

Ms bakers inclusion a monks Public Storage the staff is a plus for both Publix stores and their clientele. Reserved online and rented a unit in Alameda on the same day. Received a call to confirm my appointment (only 1 person in the business office at a time due to CV-19), which I changed to same day - easily accommodated. I showed up to complete my paperwork and get my unit. Royesha assisted me with everything. She was incredibly well prepared and knowledgeable about the contract and services offered by Public Storage. Royesha was also so kind and made the experience enjoyable and easy.

We have had a very positive experience with this Public Storage facility. We stored goods here for four years and over that time called the manager for different matters and they were always receptive and very helpful. We moved out last weekend and Kenneth could not have been nicer or more helpful. He followed up to make sure we found our unit and helped us with the movers. The facility is very clean and well-managed.

I must say it was a pleasure to be helped by La Cens, she is extremely friendly, helpful and informative. I was kind of dreading the whole process, but La Cena made it oh so easy. I would highly recommend this storage facility to anyone in need of external storage. The facility is clean, the lockers are clean, the staff is helpful, I always feel safe on the premises and we have had no problems to date. We've been customer since April 2017 & we are now in 2018.

Kenneth was extremely helpful and knowledgeable when I came in to reserve my 10x30 unit. He stayed after normal business hours to assist me in securing my unit. He was also very attentive, and made sure I understood every important detail of the rental agreement and features of the unit/facility. The switch in each unit would be nice, but the guys that work there are super helpful, and there is a bathroom on site.

Signed up under the ongoing first month $1 promotion. By the end of the reservation that jumped to $25 due to a hidden $24 admin fee. Fine, I knew there was a catch so proceeded. BUT THEN, I arrive and now the move in cost jumps to $60! So my $1 month some how ended up being more expensive than the normal rate of $55 a month for the 4’x4’. Classic bait and switch and hidden fee structure, what a dubious business practice and WASTE of my time. Note: this is a public storage company wide issue not specifically the Alameda location, BUT it did happen at that location so they get the 1 star)

Unethical business practices... I reserved a unit on the Public Storage website for this location. The monthly rent was confirmed on the website and by email at $355 for a 10 x 30. The first month was $1. I called the location to confirm the reservation and made my appointment (for 2 days later) to complete my rental. I spoke with Francine. I called again the day before the appointment, and again confirmed the reservation, this time with Akisha. At my appointment, Francine informed me that the unit I had reserved was not available, but that she "would honor the reservation" with a different unit. The other unit was much smaller and did not have any discount for the first month's rent. Francine recited her lines as though she had practiced them many times. I showed both Francine and Akisha my print-out of the reservation I had made on the website. Neither employee seemed at all surprised that the confirmed online reservation was not meaningful. Is this unethical practice the policy of the company?

What is on my agenda is to bring to light the excellent work that is being done by Dale who if I'm not mistaken is part time here in Alameda. Actually everyone here is very cordial and treats all here very well. Dale is very much on the ball when he is on shift and very aware of all that happens under his watch.mi feel he follows company policy as much to the letter that is possible while still showing compassion and understanding for the humans that have their lives locked up here at public storage. I sleep well knowing that he questions people that possibly are not suppose to be here and makes sure all those who do are welcome. Akiesha, the property manager, gets 5 STARS! Because her district manager never returned my 2 calls about a promotion through PS's website, I'm docking a star overall. Akiesha was professional, caring, explained things very well and answered all the questions I had. It is only because of her, that I decided to go with PS in Alameda. Her customer service is right up there with the Ritz Carlton and American Express - both outstanding examples of meeting customer expectations - and Akiesha joins these prestigious companies with her customer service skills. I was very pleased overall with the unit. It was clean, well lit, and having access to a dolly was very helpful. If I ever need a storage unit again, I will go here as long as Akiesha is here.

Beautiful Experience!! I came in on Friday to get my first ever storage. Akeisha was so friendly and personable! I can honestly say that Akeisha treated me just like a good friend from the moment I walked in the door, and she gave me a tour of the facility as elegantly as a real estate agent would do, and she even encouraged me to purchase sturdier Public Storage boxes to make my move as easy and efficient as possible:) I was just going to get boxes from anywhere but she explained the difference in PS boxes versus some other boxes(suddenly 39.95 seemed like a steal for a starter kit of different size boxes:) Thank you so much Akeisha for your warm friendly personality, it is so appreciated!!! Danielle and Akeisha (manager) are highly organized and friendly. I appreciate their ability to answer all my questions and even anticipate my needs given the extensive packing I had to manage. I also worked with Steve who was super friendly and resourceful. Before coming to public storage I went to SafKeep in Oakland Jack London and was charged $300 per month. Public storage was a huge savings. I have peace of mind and security.

Let's see where do I begin?! I visited Public Storage a couple days ago because I need to downsize my current storage space. I was greeted by Akiesha who was very professional and helpful. When I arrived the phone started ringing and people were coming to the desk, Akiesha remained calm and pleasant with everyone and still took care of business! She showed me the available units, assisted me with reserving/renting, I must have asked a thousand questions - which she answered pleasantly and never showed a trace of irritation!! Love it! That's what I call Customer Service! Since, I'm not quite finished with my process I received a follow up call from Akiesha today. She took the time to see what other assistance I needed. I came in from Alaska to check on my unit, but didn't have my keys, and I I wanted to cut the lock I bought. When I arrived Dina at the front desk told me I wasn't allowed. At first I was pretty upset, I mean it's my lock I should be able to cut it. Dina kindly and professionally explained why I couldn't and gave me options on how I could resolve my issue. Ultimately I purchased a better lock, but if it weren't for Dina and her professionalism I'd went ahead and cut it. The next day Dina followed up with me on my issue and made sure it was taken care of. I really appreciated her follow through and kindness. It made all of the difference.

March 10, 2014 I went to the Public Storage on 1829 Webster. I had trouble putting the code in, to open the gate. I went into the office to tell the attendant my problem. The young lady, Shasta, came out and assisted me and opened the gate. I drove to the storage room and remembered that my son and daughter-in-law had changed storage rooms. I went back to the office and told Shasta, of the error. I showed my credentials and asked if I could get the number of the new storeroom. I went to that storage room and the key worked. When I finished in the storeroom, I went back to the office. I went into the office to tell Shasta that I had finished in the storeroom. I mentioned to Shasta that the door was difficult to open. There was a gentleman in the office at this time. We joined him and went back to the storage room. The gentleman opened the door and serviced the problem. I was impressed. I commend Shasta as a fine representative for Public Storage. John

This was my first time renting at Public Storage and I have to say that Dina and Myra did an excellent job at getting a storage spot for me and making the application process as smooth as possible! Overall, I'm very satisfied with the service at this location.

Deena and the staff at the Alameda location really made the experience easy. I thought it was especially thoughtful of Deena to call the following Monday after we had moved our stuff into storage just to see how everything went.
