Great experience! The manager lady was very nice!!!

Reserved online and completed all of the paperwork. My TOTAL move in cost was supposed to be $30 and I received confirmation of such, but it would not let me pay online. When I went to the office I was told there was an error and it would be $81 to move in. There was no prior communication about this (despite them calling me numerous times to confirm I would move in). I asked the representative why, and she didn’t know and no explanation was given, just take it or leave it. I contacted the attorney general with documentation and my email confirmation because this is a clear bait and switch operation.

My experience at this storage facility was overall a pleasant one. This is coming after an almost 5 year stay with a unit. Thankfully my unit was on the first floor. I recently met Marion. She was able to assist me during my move out process. Very courteous and helpful. Reason I’m leaving is because I finally made room in my warehouse to house my personal belongings. Thank you

Recently purchased a storage unit here and the storage manager, Marion, was really helpful in reserving our unit space! The storage place itself is quite large with ample space inside for multiple cars to come and unload your stuff. The space is two levels, with the second level being accessible via stairs for people and a lift available for your heavy items. The storage units are accessible between 6:30am and 9pm, and have camera surveillance 24/7. They also have a mobile app available to access the entrance gate, which is convenient. Cost is reasonable, but be aware that they are subject to rent increase; 30-day notice will be given!

Stay away. I rented since May and just left after they hiked their prices to over $100 for a 5x7 closet with no light. I also haven't felt very safe in their facility after having a couple of experiences where sketchy people were loitering in their cars. I'm pretty sure they were homeless, which fair enough, everyone needs a safe place to park it, I get it. But in at least one case the loiterers were doing drugs and getting in NASTY screaming fights in front of my 11 year old, who by the way was adopted from foster care and has a trauma background as well as a genetic nervous system disorder that throws him into fight or flight on the drop of a dime. Hearing that really upset him, to say the least. I finally vacated my unit, but they charged me for an entire month I won't use. They were very inflexible and have closed my account, so now I don't even have the option to use what I'm paying for and since my account is closed, I have no way of calling the local staff because their phone system requires a registered phone number.

Marion and Davonte were both very helpful. Marion explained the process and when we went back Davonte helped my husband and I set up our unit and pick the perfect location. He was very patient in walking us through the process. The only negative is the site itself, no working bathroom and exit door is broken. (Someone ran into it) 5 star service with a 3 star site.

Prices went significantly up with a drop in availability of onsite staff. Less quality of service for more cost is not a winning combination in my mind. This was a recent change after Public Storage purchased this property.

Public storage bought my former storage company. They just raised my rent 30%. My parents ended up leaving as well because of constant rent increases. Not a good way to treat loyal customers.

Aubrey genuinely cares about customers and efficiently handles all tasks, making her highly recommended. * the shutter from inside has a bar that takes 1/2 foot space so be watchful of it and it will block and might scratch belongings if unit is stuffed too tightly.

Her name is Marion. She works at Public Storage at 1913 Sherman St. in Alameda. I am sharing my last week's positive renting experience with her based on our three phone conversations including yesterday Sunday 03/16/25- the move-in day. I was interested in an 8' x 8' unit. Soon after my online registration last week, this lady called me regarding my interest. Followed her clear guidance with patient answers for my questions, very quickly she earned my trust to proceed for confirmation. The contract with instructions came. She also gave me the number to reach her with specifics (i.e. her off days). I did call her soon after for a minor clarification and got it. In the morning of the move-in day, I called for the gate code. Only a few minutes later, she rang me back and sent me the code promptly. I passed on the code to my son who just moved to that neighborhood and needed the storage. He was able to check the unit and got the keys right off the bat. That's efficiency. The entire process went smoothly and I felt good. I've not met Marion in person. But in our communication experiences she was attentive, sincere and trustworthy. Thank you Marion for representing your company well for a customer.

Marion is so helpful and knowledgeable! I’m really pleased with the management of this Public Storage.

Public Storage bought our storage facility and gave little information during the transition. I was slapped with a late fee right away and a threat of a lien. I went to the facility during business hours five different times and the door was locked and no-one was within. Calling the number there likewise went straight to a recording. During this time, we got another late fee while I was still trying to speak with someone at the facility. In the end, we never got assistance or communication. They are happy to slap late fees and threaten liens, but are not available for you to resolve these issues. A business that has nobody working during business hours is a serious red flag and a massive security risk to your possessions within. No-one is looking at the camera. Use Public Storage at your own risk, and let me tell you, it is a risk!

Constance was super nice and very helpful with understanding my reservation! She gave me the breakdown of the pricing and explain how to get to my unit. 10/10 would recommend. Plus I feel my stuff is very safe here and it’s very clean!!

These people, especially, Marion Nguyen, are keepers. I've had a unit at this facility for more than 5 years. One key to success in life is to know which people to keep in, and which people to eject from, one's life. Marion takes care of business and does it with competence and friendliness.
