We were warmly greeted by Teri (I hope I am spelling her name correctly!) when we arrived. She walked us through each of the steps to rent our unit and was very friendly and professional through the entire process. My husband and I were very pleased with the new updates and improved security such as using a unique passcode to enter the gated area. Thank you for such a nice introduction to your storage facility!

Manager at property is lovely and kind. Their late fees are ASTRONOMICAL. property is spotlessly clean! This is one year later! I now have four units at the Hazel Dell property. The rent has gone up several times. I spoke with Terry the manager and she fixed it. Terry is always so kind and so generous with her time. It was 89° in Vancouver yesterday. I had a lot to do in my car and my storage unit. Terry came down and brought me a broom in the dustpan because I had broken a bottle. She also brought me two bottles of ice cold water which probably saved my life. Literally!! I was so dehydrated, plus I have some serious health issues. She did all the walking for me since I am also disabled. She then called me later in the evening to make sure I was okay!! Who does that??? In this day and age of totally rude, uncaring people, I'm just amazed!!! I have four units there and I'm glad someone like Terri is the one running the show! Thank you, Terri, for all your hard work and caring attitude and attention!!!!

I don't normally leave reviews, however, I stopped by the public storage office to get some boxes, and get a quote on a storage unit, and met Theresa there and she is the nicest person and very knowledgeable. she answered all my questions and concerns. Would definitely recommend this place to everybody!

So where is the person that’s supposed to check us in? No one was on site so I rented a unit online, paid for said unit, and was instructed to go to the office between 9:30am-6pm the following day to get gate access from office staff. There is no one in the office for two days and the phone number directs you to an automated line providing no solutions. Knocked on the door behind the building that leads to presumably the host’s residence and still no answer. There are now 3 people waiting outside the empty local office waiting for this absent employee. It’s worth looking elsewhere for a place that cares more.

Rat infested. We were there for 4 months and had what would be considered the best unit in the facility closest to the office, temperature controlled. Just started renting in November and had to leave in February. Insulation above unit is exposed and is being used as a nesting site for rats. Rat urine, feces, and blood on my grandmother’s antique furniture that can never be replaced. Dead rats everywhere as you can see from the photos. Leather, suede and Navy pea coats were used as nests. Had to have professionally cleaned. Absolutely shocked. I can’t imagine what our stuff would have looked like had we not visited our unit every couple of weeks. Ended up renting down the road. I’ll don’t mind paying a little more to make sure my stuff doesn’t get damaged. Photos: dead rat hanging from rafters in our unit. Blood dripping from said rat. Dead rat in main hallway. Rat feces. Coat used as rat’s nest. Exposed ceiling with insulation falling down. More coats being used as nests.

I had a terrible first experience here, but it was rectified. Local manager Teri is very kind and will absolutely do what she can to make things right. There is a rodent problem here, but I believe that has more to do with the corporate level than Teri. Make sure to check your unit out before signing the paperwork. Their is also a serious disconnect between the off shore call center (poor English and communication skills) and a local branch. Public storage makes it nearly impossible to do but try to deal with local managers first. It will save you a headache.

Beware. Not sure if my review will be shown or got deleted or not. But this is from my experience. I got 5'x15' Storage which at first only $89 so it was a good deal. Then few months later they upped the price to $125. And a few months later they upped again to $145 (remember that is less than a year in total and they up the price twice). So for many people once they settle in and it's kinda a hustle to move out. So they upped the price since they know you're not gonna move out easily. You will get a great price at first and they will rip you off once time goes by. It's not promotional price or anything but they stated in the fine print that the price is "subject to change" so they can raise the price to whatever and whenever they want to. They lowered the price so people move in and they up it later. Bloody face company. Do fall for them.
