As many are saying, great experience, and Terry is very polite and helpful. He communicates well with setting up time to check in, being gracious when I was dastardly late, helped with the accidental multiple reservations (left me with the cheapest one👍🏼), and with reaching out when he did his rounds and noticed my unit was not locked properly. The place seems very clean and well maintained.

I rented a 10x20 in Sterling, at the 47038 Harry Byrd Hwy for a couple years. The manager there is great, very efficient and kind. He was ready to help anytime I needed it. Great experience. The only reason I left it’s because it got really expensive.

I have been a customer at Public Storage/Reston VA since December 2013. Public Storage/Reston VA location is an excellent business. Certainly, one, if not THE biggest reason for this location being so stellar in their overall Quality and Service is due to their Zenith-level Manager Terry. Obviously, in a business/industry such as storage units the 1 person and employee that drives the success, and keeps repeat customers are their respective Branch Managers, As they are on the front-line. Certainly, another reason for customer's satisfaction is the given Company overall. As, their corporate office, and various overall customer service personnel do of course, contribute to any Storage Unit business's success. This said, and again, is that storage unit clientele's views of, and ultimately their long term business there is -chiefly- responsible to their respective Branch Managers. Terry at the Reston, VA location is the ULTIMATE professional. He treats this location like it is own business per se. As, it's evident upon meeting Terry that he lives & breathes providing top tier service, and overall value of his 'product solution'. In the exact same way as long-term corporate Sales professional's achieve their success. Meaning, and specifically so. is that Terry's operational mindset is based on the same as a Salesperson focusing on delivering business outcome to their clientele. Well, Terry consistently provides business outcome to his obviously valued Customers. Without exception every single time I have been to the Reston Branch I always see one, and usually 3 - 4 Customers there that are CLEARLY happy with Terry as the professional overseeing their valuable's in their units. Why? Because Terry treats all customer's storage units as if they were -his- own. It doesn't, nor it can't get any any better than this as Terry is hands on, and his actions -ALWAYS- commensurate with his words. Terry apparently has taken a professional pledge to provide Zenith-level service, and value to his clientele, and does so in exemplary fashion. Refer ANY & ALL your friends & family with storage needs to Terry. And, I will -guarantee- that they, and anyone referred to Terry, or who walks in for an inquiry alike, will learn in a nano second that they are about to be provide THE best service and professionalism they have EVER seen, and in ANY business. This is an update to my post from last year — Terry, the Property Manager, came through again. We incorrectly locked our unit (which meant it was not secure) and left town. Terry contacted us by phone and text, and when he found out we were out of town he secured the unit until we returned. He continues to provide amazing, personal service. Above and beyond for a storage company. Thank you! We have had a storage unit at this site for over three years and e we have had a great experience. The facility is consistently clean, free of pests, and temperature controlled. We have neither seen nor smelled any dampness, and our unit on the 7th floor has no mold or musty smell, so our furniture is great shape. Terry the Property Manager runs a tight ship, and we are comfortable that everything is secure, safe and clean. Job well done.

I have been a customer of the Public Storage on Mercator Drive in Reston since June 2024 with Terry as the Resident Manager. I rented a 15x20 unit initially for several months and currently rent a 15x10 unit. Terry has always been very professional in his dealings with me and has been helpful setting up my initial account; closing the first account, re-opening the 2nd account, etc. The building, individual storage units, parking lot and area surrounding the building has always been clean and I have seen Terry around the area frequently sweeping the area to keep it that way. The 3 garage doors for loading & unloading have always worked well and the pedestrian door w/coded entry has always worked fine. There is also a restroom in the building for clients which came in handy over the summer as we were drinking a lot of water during the move. The building has 2 elevators – not OTIS brand – and until July 2024 they both worked fine & were easy to operate with your personal code. Since July however, one elevator has been out of service, waiting on a replacement part. My move out of the initial 15x20 in August 2024 unit was not really affected time-wise by this inconvenience probably having more to do with the efficiency of my moving company, Express Moving & Storage of Alexandria, than anything else but if there are multiple clients moving in or out, it can be a real nuisance. This is not something that Terry has a lot of control over as the repair comes out of Corporate; nevertheless, it is the one reason I’ve given 4 stars in my rating in lieu of 5.

Really easy and friendly staff. They don’t bother you, I love being able to just come in and move my stuff around if need be. Staff is super friendly and the environment is great, very clean and everything needs your access code so I know my stuff is safe here.

Needed to rent two units for a last minute move, one large for furniture and a smaller one for boxes. Terry was super friendly and explained all my options. Then he showed me two units in the sizes I wanted and as luck would have it they were near each other. I asked if I could get those two specifically which he said yes but I would have to reserve them a certain way online. Of course I totally messed up the reservation and accidentally paid for two different units. Frantic I called Terry and he said no problem just come in the next day and we could get it sorted out. Next day I came in and met the lovely and charming Ema. I explained the situation to her and after exhibiting some amazing patience she was able to get me switched to the two units I originally wanted without me getting charged extra or losing the online move in special. I could not be happier with the help I got from Terry and Ema, they are both very friendly and super accommodating. The facility itself is also great. It's well lit on the lower floors, the areas are very clean and it's all climate controlled which is exactly what I need.

Awesome employees at Reston in Public Storage : The two gentlemen that assisted me with my units were not only kind enough to take the time to make a good decision on unit sizes, but also cost-effective for me.

I started renting a space a few months ago at the Public Storage in Reston at Mercatur Drive, from a property manager named Andres. Andres was very helpful in filling me in on the fine details of the contract with this company. And as well, Andres was very informative when he showed me multiple spaces ranging in different sizes inside of this large climate controlled building. Andres and his fellow property managers keep this place really clean. I've rented space from Public Storage in Northern VA., before and this is by far one of the cleanest ones ! I highly recommend this property for space rentals and highly recommend Andres and his clear and polite orientation to customers of this Storage property. 5 Stars ! - Eric Wright

I've maintained a storage space unit at this Public Storage facility for a little over a year and I highly recommend it. The staff are very nice and they maintain the building and property in immaculate condition. The place is always clean and organized. Really ! And the property managers like Andres, Michael and Terry are very helpful and courteous about whatever it is I need. This Public Storage is very serene with a small lake-pond next to it and the staff make it all the more relaxed and laid back with how they manage the place. Two thumbs up, this place is very nice !

Everything with my rental has been so easy and stress free. The online portal was simple and when I got to the building there was plenty of space to pull up to and park, they have lots of carts for you to use, and the unit was easy to find. Would definitely use again if needed.

Public Storage understands how things can go wrong when you're moving. You can plan every aspect of your move but if the entrance to your unit has has a six to eight inch ledge it multiplies the time it takes to move by a lot. You can work around it but you have to plan ahead. That's why I use the Mercator Drive facility. Roll right in to the elevator and up to the door of your unit, still so easy to get my gear in and out.

I consider myself a technically savvy senior but am apprehensive with online business transactions. Terry's kind patience and clear assistance enabled me to obtain my new unit, complete required documents, and understand each step of the process. Public Storage in Reston Va is a high quality business and Terry's exceptional customer care defines how it should be operated.

We have used several storage spaces at this facility over three years. It is clean and easily accessible. Terry has been very helpful and takes good care of the place. Only negative is price rises a bit too frequently…

Michael went above and beyond. He came to the rescue! The Reston VA Mercator Drive location is superb. It is clean and so convenient. Had no trouble finding my unit and a very short walk from the elevators. Very happy with my choice, and Michael Thank you again!!
