Overall great service in general
I literally was sick to my stomache, when I went in my storage the other and day and noticed all my things were covered in rat poop! I immediately started grabbing everything I could to remove my things. You can literally hear them running around, I always thought it was the buildings and the wind. DO NOT RENT HERE! Im grossed out because I have never in my life dealt with rats!

Rats RATS RATS. Office hasn’t responded. Not returned my calls.
The property is infested with rodents. I called the property manager when I was on site and he was already aware of the rodent problem. He told me “there isn’t much we can do, but try to sweep up the hallways often.” He offered to move my unit to another building, but that the other building also has rodents. This is disguising and unacceptable that management isn’t addressing it.

Just got to the unit we rented there is a literally dead rat in it and it smells so bad there’s no one to help the hours say they are open till 9 but no one is here and I can’t get anyone on the phone this is unbelievable
Horrible place to rent. There are rats everywhere. As soon as I noticed I tried to get in contact with the office. No one ever answered the phone not was there anyone in the office. I called the public storage line and they were able to cancel for me. However I never heard from anyone from the office of this location.
Misty was very helpful and made it very easy to get my unit.

Hoping a 1 star review gets the attention of the district manager. Turned over the unit on June 15th. Was charged for June and was told it would be refunded. Mobile app still shows I owe for August. Been to the front office 3 times now and there was three different people behind the desk. Everyone says the issue was sent to district manager. It is now September and there is no refund for June, no call, no update. The manager back in June when unit was turned over no longer works there and apparently this is the delay. No reason this issue should be dragging out this long. I would recommend other storage units if you want issues resolved that may come up in a timely manner.
Was great but now my rate is 368.00 a month when it started at 160.00. This is highway robbery.
WARNING——RAT INFESTATION
Please do not rent at this location unless you plan to put EVERYTHING in heavy duty plastic totes and work with protective gear.
This location has a massive rodent infestation. It smells like rodent urine the second you walk through the door, even in the office.
I had my belongings there for three months and already had to move everything out of 10 x 20 unit because they had a water leak from the HVAC system drain so the rats were using my unit as a pass-through to get to water.
The management DID NOT call me to let me know there was a water leak and I just so happened to find out because I stopped by on a Saturday evening. When I reported this, the office did nothing to assist. They told me that I needed to file an insurance claim and that they weren’t going to do anything.
I called customer service to see if they could help me find another unit quickly at the same price and they were very unwilling to help. They said they could reserve a new unit as if I was a new customer and that was the only solution and if I didn’t like the price or the solution, too bad. I got passed around to 5 different people to be told that they would let the district manager know and that she or someone on her behalf would call me back and tell me the same thing that I had already been told..
I tried to get all of my things out in one day and was there past closing time on a Sunday night so they sent the police and said that a burglary was in action. I was then put in handcuffs and made to wait after I had been parked in the same place with a U-Haul working for 12 hours straight until they confirmed that that was my unit. The management then confirmed that I was not supposed to be there and that she knew nothing about a rat infestation or a water leak. The police allowed me to stay and finish removing my things because it was plain to see the feces and water leaking down the hallway and the manager acted ignorant to the fact.
I spoke with 2 other tenants that day to learn the rats had destroyed their property too and that they had to repack in plastic totes.
Robert went above and beyond his job criteria, he was knowledgeable, polite, and provided the best customer service I have ever experienced with Public Storage, fantastic employee

THE WORST. Spend your money somewhere else! After getting a notice that I must relocate my 10x20 due to the property being renovated, I reluctantly got another space w public storage at a different facility. Not to mention their building had a leak and we had to throw away lots of valuables from water damage. It has been, and still is a nightmare. Paid $300 in rent, paid for a U-Haul, paid $150 an hr for movers. Overall I spent over a grand with this move, that was NOT by choice. These people did not care on single bit. They did not care how badly they inconvenienced everyone, or the expenses we had to endure. My belongings have only been there for a total of 9 days and they are calling me saying I owe another $175. I asked to speak with tewana who is the district manager and she never ever returns anyone’s calls. This place is a joke. Please spend your money some where else.

Rat urine and feces at several different locations. It's disgusting
Great customer service! Miss Cindy was very helpful and always friendly. She helped me get the unit I needed and walked me through everything from my phone because her system was down at the time.
I would give a zero if that was possible. We were there loading and went over the closing time (just busy and didn't realize) and got locked in. It's impossible to get out. There is no number. We called and took forever to get an actual person on the phone to work with. Then we moved out on the 1st and they did NOT prorate and charged us for the whole month. Okay, if that's the policy, my bad. But when I called to speak to them to see about it the lady was so so so rude. Speaking to me in such a condescending voice. I told her she was being so unkind and she said I cussed at her. I don't cuss. It was just such a terrible experience. Will not recommend, will not use again.
This is not a good place to get a storage. I got a storage November 7, 2022. Only 4 months later I received a email effective May 1, 2023. I always thought that once you get your price locked in online that would be your price $50 increase already. I went up to local office to speak to someone. It was a new employee that was caring however the lady that was training her was very rude and I could hear her talking loud cutting the new lady off from the back area of office oh their is nothing we can do about it and then I knew that she could care less. She said that I needed to talk to someone at the #1800 and pretended to put in the computer a request for someone to call me within 24 hours. How about before I could return home I received a text not from a phone number but 6 numbers like many businesses use now. When I tried to call myself they recognized my phone number through automated system. After holding on forever someone just picked the phone up and layed it back down and eventually hug up on me. I then I tried to use Chat to speak to someone. Chat keep telling me they don't understand and then put up a message they were having technical difficulties. Then shortly after I received a email this time and it said there is nothing they can do about it. Called my local office again on 3 different times no one answered because they can tell who is calling by your phone number. I would not have never ever rented a storage from Public storage if they had been up front and said that your price will increase. In the past when I used their service I had no experience with a price change. At least they could pretend to care, but they let me know personally that they could care less except it or leave. I will never refer public storage to anyone. By the way while talking in the office earlier yesterday the trainer employee slip up and said it might be a year before another increase. Who wants to do business with a storage place as such. Please take your business else where. I must say the young lady that works there on the weekend is always professional and caring. In the past I always have dealt with her, because I always come on weekend previously. That's is why I thought by mistake that all of them were professional and caring. Wrong!!! People please use a different storage facility so you will not spend extra money relocating. As of January 27, 2024 I moved out completely because they increased their price again effective February 1st 2024 t he price is $250. I will not advise anyone to use this storage place. I have never been late on a payment and they still continue to raise prices.
I ended up renting an outdoor unit for only a couple of months between moves, and the process as well as payment was extremely easy and I was able to make sure everything fit snuggly within the 10x10 unit (which is surprisingly A LOT more room than I thought with how much I have!) And the front counter was super helpful when I needed to cancel my unit after the move. The experience was honestly the best I've ever had while using a storage, and I would definitely recommend this location for your security of your personal belongings! 10 out of 10 would use again!

The property is clean and well serviced but what really makes it better than any others I’ve been… is the property manager. She’s very easy to work with and seemingly always available. She’s one of the reasons we’ve stayed so long. This facility may not be the same without her but its great as it is today.
Not going to be here anymore, price went up $22 in a month

Cindy is a great manager. Unfortunately Public Storage raises the rates to much. Cindy does everything in her power to keep you here. But Unfortunately they don't give her enough power to keep the rates affordable.

They have raised my rent by literally 165% in two years. Shame on this company for raising the rent so high especially in these times. I’m moving out ASAP.
Can’t ever get ahold of someone. And when you do it’s not helpful. They changed my entire door along with everyone elses doors and locks on the units at 1419 stemmons freeway. Told me I could pick up my new keys when it’s convenient for me. My 2 kids and I and a very nice elderly lady have been standing out here now an hour and no one’s here!!!! Called the district as well as texting here with NO RESPOSE TO VM OR CALLS OR TEXTS…. This is not convenient to the customer…..
If I could give zero stars, I would. The leasing consultant there is absolutely awful. She constantly interrupts and has horrible customer service. She is incredibly rude and I’m baffled she has a job working with the public. She said I was able to make a partial payment and then when I called to make it she acted like we never had the conversation. Between her terrible attitude and her inability to not interrupt while people are speaking, it’s definitely not worth your time or money to lease a storage unit here.
Everything was so quick and easy with Letty. She was so nice and her customer service was very good! I will be recommending public storage to my friends.
