I have my stuff in a until here and my unit is infested with rats that have destroyed my things some that can not be replaced they force me to pay for insurance then tell me that they will only cover 250 1 of the 4 jersey alone costs that much plus on top of that they chew into a blanket that I have in their from my mother who passed away 12 ago today this is not acceptable

I killed 14 rats in that time as well. No matter what I did there was rat poop all over the place.
I moved to a better storage unit facility and I would recommend you do too.
So, I feel I need to update my most recent experience with this place. I am leaving my old post under this one. Well because of it's severness. But, in recent time, this place has a new manager. This young man has been so very helpful and kind. I on the other hand was not so much that. And he still handled me with care and kindness. I thank you so very, very much for ALLL of your help and understanding. He even went out of his way and jogged(not walked) up to unit to see if I needed any help loading things up. Awe!! Great job young man. You keep up the wonder job. God bless you.

Horrible place. My unit was broken into and no one there let me know. Tried all day to get a hold of person who's suppose to be in the office. Left many messages, still no reply. Never ever have i seen anyone on site to help. I am beyond pissed off. This is what I found.
Do not use this storage facility!
Firstly, they will continually raise your rates over time. Literally, we ended up paying $400 a month for a space less than half the size of a standard garage. (Our mistake for not clearing our storage sooner, I suppose. They get you in with a low rate, and then just raise it substantially every 6 months.) At this point, my husband joked that they should be bringing us breakfast in bed every morning for the price we were paying!
Secondly, though, and more importantly, this place is infested with rats! Seriously, they have rat traps all over the place (none with rats in them that I saw). However, the traps are unquestionably ineffective since--when we went to clear out our stuff today--*everything* in our storage was covered in rat poop!
Many things had been gnawed on as well. So, we will have to throw away some items, and clean *everything.* (Not to mention that it is unhealthy to breathe air contaminated by rat feces and urine, and we had no choice in order to clear out our stuff.)
For $400 a month, I should not have to worry about my things being gnawed on and pooped upon! The minimum I should expect is to have a clean, dry, safe, and NOT infested place to store my things. That's the point of a storage facility, right?
Find somewhere else. The staff could be the nicest people on the planet and it doesn't matter if you are being overcharged for filthy, rat-infested storage.

This may be part of a huge corporation, but the staff gives you the feeling that customer service is very important to them. They answer the phone, if not, leave a message and they'll call you right back. They are super helpful in all aspects of the customer experience. Well to be completely honest it is hard to find customer satisfaction anywhere these days let alone amazing prices. These guys Andi and Darren had pleasant smiles happy to be of help and made me feel like they valued me as a customer. I will recommend anyone I know that is needing these kinds of services. I had unit G120 at this property and have had multiple issues. This last issue is by far the worst. Over the last week I have tried pay my bill via online, 800 number, in person, and by calling the property. My online payment methods had been shut off. This property has NO ONSITE MANAGER, therefore it has consistently been difficult to reach someone, anyone. So from May 20th until the 28th I tried everyday multiple times with phone calls to the property and 800# and driving out to the property with the only luck was the 800# who stated more than once that I had to talk to the property to get my online payments reactivated, which I have the proof of all the attempts I made. So in my unit we'll a year ago my son was murdered in down town Portland so in this unit was multiple items that belonged to him which were meant for my 3 young grandsons as well as some of my sons ashes. So not only did this property take away the ability for me to pay they also sold all I had for my grandsons and part of my son. This WAS NOT MY LACK OF WANTING TO PAY IT WAS THE UNPROFESSIONALISM AS WELL AS THE FACT THIS PROPERTY IS UNMANAGED. OH AND THE LAST TIME THIS PROPERTY TRIED TO REACH ME WAS AN EMAIL ON MAY 20TH WHICH IS WHEN I BEGAN TO TRY TO GET MY BILL PAID. IF THE PERSON WHO BOUGHT THE UNIT G120 ON May 28th happens to see this I am willing to pay any amount to get just two items and my son back. As for all of you that supposedly care and manage this property may you be able to look at yourself and sleep at night knowing you took all my grandsons have left of their father. Poor poor management and customer service. Christine the manager at the Aloha property is by far the only employee I have met with this company that truly cared about any issue I came across when dealing with this property. Jacob, Thomas and the district manager ALL ARE HORRIBLE AT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND PROBLEM RESOLUTION OH AND THEY SHOULD DEFINITELY NOT BE EMPLOYED AS MANAGEMENT OR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!
I just rented a unit from Public Storage in Tigard. I was helped by a rep named Andy. He gave me a helpful tour, and answered all my questions. The sign-up process was quick and I was finished in no time! They are very organized and knowledgeable!

I had an amazingly easy and great experience. I came in with a problem and Andi, who was working that day was able to assist in solving my problem. . My husband and I moved in October of 2023 and had to put majority of our belongings into storage. This place had good pricing and it was close to our new home. However, after two weeks of our belongings being stored here, we started to see evidence of critters being in our unit. Droppings and urine marks were all over our things. Boxes started getting holes chewed into them. Our couch was ruined and everything was dirty. There isn’t a single thing in our unit that was left untouched by vermin. When my husband talked to the front desk person, they simply shrugged their shoulders and said we would just have to file a claim with our insurance. Terrible customer service. Not sure if anyone else has had this issue here but this place is not great for storing your belongings.
Read up on rat prevention in your unit because you’re going to need it. Otherwise no issues
Great price and this is the second time I rented a storage unit and BEWARE of mice infestation. I had to clean mice poop and pee and converted everything into plastic tub storage plus killed 4 mice. Make sure to block all little openings!
This is the only business that keeps raising your price 20-30 percent EVERY few months regardless of how long you rent with them. They don't value their long term customers. Their advertised prices are only good for a few short months.

I wish I could give this place zero stars. The storage units are INFESTED with rats. It is a known problem and both the onsite management and corporate management have zero care and take zero accountability for the problem. During a move we stored our house furniture here for six months and almost everything is ruined and had to be taken to the dump. DEAD RATS were found inside the unit, feces and urine stained our couches, chairs and rugs. We had to throw most of our belongings away. With a 1.5 year old child at home we couldn't risk having bacteria and viruses enter our home. Our professional movers said they'd never seen a rat infestation this bad in all their years of business. They were disgusted.
We tried multiple times to get any sort of response from the district office and all calls and messages went unreturned. The onsite manager said they know it is an issue but it is not their problem. I've never met a less helpful or empathetic organization in my life.
We're out thousands of dollars. Please store your belongings anywhere but at Public Storage.
Do not rent here. They have a big rodent issue at this location. There are traps everywhere, so management is aware of the issue. No help when reported. On the outdoor facing storage units, there are small openings by the door that make it easy for rodents to move between the units. Orange door insurance is a joke for situations like this. There are cheaper and cleaner places around.
The service was amazing! Kim was such a great help in finding the best storage plan for me, and helped with a lot of accommodations. Definitely recommend to anyone looking to use public storage in the Tigard area!

This has to be the worst storage place on the planet, we moved in to a unit and 9 days later came back to find that a couple thousand dollars worth of stuff was chewed up by rats the lady I spoke to in the office said they knew about the rat problem and was shocked no one told us before we moved in, their orange door insurance they require you to have only covers 250$ worth of damage with a 100$ deductible to make up for it they gave us a bigger storage unit for same price, now we just went to storage with a pickup truck load to put in storage and they blocked our access to our unit, because there is a manager block untill we sign some document and we already have signed everything I’m dissabled and paid 3 people to come and unload my truck into storage so now I’m out the money spent to hire people to help unload I’m furious!!!
Edited to add: as we've been unpacking, we realized we're missing many of our things. A nice vacuum, our books, our box of wall art, and more. At a certain point, we couldn't afford to pay the monthly payment, and Tammy busted our lock. I'm pretty sure she stole from us, as I know we didn't put those boxes anywhere else. Everything we had went into storage when we faced homelessness for the last year. I just want my stuff back.
The office manager Tammy is always on lunch, all hours of the day. Every single time I've called the office, she's called back five to ten minutes later saying she was "on lunch". This has happened at 10 am, at 3 pm, at 12 pm, doesn't seem to matter what time of day, if she doesn't have appointments she's sitting in her on site housing. I also found a ton of spider eggs, spiders, and all sorts of insects all over my stuff when I went to move out, which tells me there's little to no efforts towards pest control. All in all, it was an expensive 5x5 for a poorly managed unit.

I rented a unit at the end of January, using a link that said 1st month would be free. It was not, I still paid rent, plus the move-in fee, purchased a lock (that you can only use at their facility), and insurance.
I received an email stating the monthly rent would be increasing $40 (no explanation given) after 4 months. I moved my stuff out (which was was COVERED in rodent poop) closed the account, and received an email saying everything was complete and there was a $0 balance.
The following day, I received an email stating I had been charged the increased rate ($212) for that month's rent. I called and had to leave a voicemail, which was returned a few days later saying they'd look into it. I was finally refunded the overcharge at the end of the month.
Now I have a Collections notice stating I owe $212? I contacted the Collections agency to dispute the charge and called Public Storage yet again. I was transferred to someone who said they would expedite it since they couldn't change it manually, was given no explanation or apology for the issue, and then was told they would waive the charge. How is it considered "waived" if they're overcharging for a month that should have been closed?
Now I have a $20 lock that I can't use anywhere else, boxes and items that need to be disinfected, and a Collections dispute. Would not recommend.

Easy to rent, reserve a unit on line for free. A couple of complaints, I rented a 10x20 and it's more like a 9x18 ish the second issue is the rent went up over $90 a month after approximately 4 months.
* Update on my review, my rent was adjusted back to a much more suitable rate, my thanks to the management for that! *
Tammy in the office was incredibly helpful and patient with helping us rent a new locker. Took the time to explain and make sure two old farts got it right. And while my partner completed the necessary paperwork I had a chance to watch the monitors and was very happy with the security set up and also the fact that the place was immaculately clean . A good place to keep your stuff.
Ended up using a different location but Kim was amazing at both! Very helpful and understanding at both locations.
Let’s face it, if you need a storage unit, it usually means life has given you a swift kick in the nuts and you’ve had to downsize. And every time you visit you realize you have too much stuff and dealing with it sucks.
So having a friendly employee at the storage place makes visiting there bearable. Tammy is that person. She actually gives a damn and does everything she can to make sure customers are happy. Hurray Tammy!
Been renting for 2 almost 3 years here I went from paying $210 in the beginning to now they raised the rent on me to $290 and that extra $80 is really causing issues financially they say the value us as customers but they don't. Like I wouldn't mind paying this much for this unit if they at least would take care of the RAT PROBLEM

I have been renting here for four years, Tammy has been the most helpful person that I have met while renting here! She is very customer service oriented and make sure that she keeps her customers happy. If I ever had any issue she was right on top of it and handled it without most care. Keep her she’s a good one!
The customer service experience I've received here has been PHENOMENAL! Dave has been extremely helpful and understanding regarding my circumstances, and has helped to relieve the stress of renting this unit so that I can have one less worry during a very trying point in my life. Elora was really helpful, nice and polite . The only thing is prices kept increasing every 4 months. Started paying 110 and after 1 year I was paying $230 . They have great service but not worth the price.
I enjoy the units, I just seem to always have issues getting into contact with someone or with a property manager at this location.

I rented a space by phone yesterday. The first operator was so anxious to sell me that she booked me at another location. I corrected it myself and did it all online. Paid them their money and all.
I went to check in this morning because they want to see your drivers license before they let you go to your unit. I arrived at 935 and it says on the door "we are open" and call a number for assistance. The number they give you is not the property, it is national "customer service". I waited on hold for an hour and a half to be told, "sorry there is no one to help you. They'll give you a call when they have time." I had a borrowed van full of stuff to unload and had driven 40 miles to get there and there is no one working during normal working hours! The girl on the phone said sometimes one manager is covering three or four properties. That made me feel better.
I drove 40 miles back with my stuff and unloaded everything so I could wait for them to call. What a hassle. What an inconvenience. What a bunch of gas for nothing. I left home at 830 to arrive at 930 and stayed until 1115 before I drove home.
Every business makes mistakes, it's how you deal with your customers when you do that makes a business good. "We have no idea when someone will call you to say you can load up again and come back" is not customer service. 1PM, still no call.
Went in to get a unit, had more than a handful of questions. Tammy is a sweetheart, she never tired of answering each and every one of them. She is so KIND, if everyone could be like her, what a wonderful world it would be. She went above and beyond to help me with the size unit I needed. Thank you Tammy!!😁

Availability is fine, easy access, customer service was terrible, not once did we get a return call or an explanation for why we were double charged for the month
This facility used to be ok. Newer regional manager offers poor customer service and now this facility has a major rat problem. For over a month they "say" they are dealing with it. Yet, no commercial rat boxes can be seen anywhere on the property and I keep catching rats. The Corporate PS says not our problem. Corporate said Regional Manager Darrel would call. He never did. Will-has this PS notified everyone of this safety issue? Doubtful. Also repeated rent increases. I've had enough. Moving out ASAP.
